A movie about a young boy who is haunted by a little demon. His family tries to move him away so it can't get him but it follows. mite have been made for t.v. 80's flick i think. I watched it in New York on network television in "88 or "89.

Result: Cyborg (1989) starring Jean Claude Van Damme. Thanx Stareater.

I know I saw this at home when I was younger..Maybe late 80s early nineties? My parents were watching it, but I'm not sure if it was rented or on TV..anyways I remember there was a girl actually a young woman who had been taken over to the bad side...with the bad guys...anyways...she has a flashback as to how she ended up with the bad people...this is the only part i really remember...it shows her as a young girl and the bad guys have her mom, dad and baby brother i believe, wrapped up in barbwire and hanging over a well. The barb wire stretches out and the bad guys make the girl hold on to it...as long as she can hold her family up they wont fall in the well...but it starts sliding through her hands cutting them up...and her family falls in the well and dies....then the girl is "taken in"? if you want to call it that by the bad guys....I don't know if my parents knew I was in the room when this was on but I'm 23 now and if has scarred me for life!

Result: Arnold Thanx Mark.

A horror film from the early/mid 1970's (I believe ~'74 or '75) about Old Uncle Arnold, who (according to the ad) provided relatives and others with things like vanishing cream that made your face disappear and a strangling necktie.

Result: Homicidal (1961) directed by schlock/gimmick King William Castle. Hope Summers does appear in the film, but she's not Helga, the wheelchair-bound beheading victim. Helga was played by Eugenie Leontovich. Thanx Stareater.

It is a black and white film. I would have last seen it in the late 60's or very early 70's as a "Sunday Matinee" movie on TV. From this, I'd place it pre-1965, probably pre-1960, but I'm not certain. In this scene, an elderly woman is seated in a wheelchair at the top of a stairway. The stairway leads up the left side of an entryway type open room. I recall that in other parts of the film, she doesn't speak, but just bangs something in her left hand on the handle of her chair. At anyrate, she is seated at the top of this staircase, and her head falls off her shoulders and rolls all the way to the bottom of the staircase. I imagine it lands at the hero's or heroin's feet, but I really don't recall that part. I don't know if any of the following will help, but... I really don't think the old woman is played by Hope Summers (Andy Griffith, Ghost and Mr. Chicken, Rosemary's Baby), but that is the face I picture. A long, somewhat gaunt face. For some reason, I'm thinking the woman's head is cut off by her sister, or other female caregiver she lives with... ultimately, the bad guy in this film.

Result: Bad Ronald (again) (1974) starring Scott Jacoby. Thanx Alli.

I am looking for a old scary movie that I believe was made in the late 70's or early 80's. It involved a older teenage boy who kills a girl and hides her body in a haystack and runs home to his mother. They are afraid he will be taken away so they build a wall over a room. Therby making a secret room for him to hide in. With the room I belive looking like a pantry on the outside. The boy stays in the room and eventually his mother dies and a new family moves into the house. He then kills a elderly neighbor and buries her under the house and starts stealing food from the family living in the house and falling for the new family's daughter.

#692

Result: Where Have All The People Gone? (1974) (TV) movie with Peter Graves and Kathleen Quinlan. Thanx Alli.

This was, I believe, a made-for-TV movie in the mid-70s, in color. Something happens involving comets or solar flares or something that causes most of the population to turn to dust. The husband and kids in one family survive the initial effects and spend the movie trying to get back to the beach house, where the mom/wife is waiting. At the end, they get to the beach house, but there's a note from the mom/wife saying that, if reading this, the family must be immune to the effects. Next to the note is a pile of dust.

Result: Hell Toupee episode of Amazing Stories, from the 80's Thanx Mark.

I am lookng for a movie tht was done in the 80's possibly late 70's. I have never seen an other movie like it. It is about an evil toupee and when it jumps on peoples heads they are suddenly possessed by it. his is a "B" movie and you can even see the puppet strings when the toupee is jumping around.

Result: Don't Look Now (1973) with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie. Thanx Alli.

i saw a moment from this movie on bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments but i don't remember what it's called. this man and woman's daughter dies, and they go to venice to try to releive the stress i suppose, but the man keeps seeing a little girl running around in a red coat with a hood and it looks like his little girl from far away, but he only catches glimpses of her because she keeps running off. so he is kind of obsessing over it, and all the while these murders are being commited in venice and it's a mystery who's doing it. so the scary moment was when the man sees the little girl in the red coat facing a corner and goes to her, crying thinking it will be his little girl (?) and "it" turns around and is actually a dwarf with a butcher knife and has been the mystery killer throughout the whole movie! very weird! can you help me out with a title? oh yeah and i think it came out in like the 80's. looked kind of 80's-ish.

Result: Trapped (1987) starring kathleen quinlan. Thanx RPRay.

No one I know seems to have ever heard of it. It exists, and it is not Dark Tower. Ok, here's what I remember:
* The movie is color
* I saw it on USA Network about 12 years ago. (I am 22)
* There are two women locked in a skyscraper building
* It's looks as to be set in the 80's
* Killer is loose in the building
* The women are in an elevator and when the door opens the killer kills one of them with an ax like weapon.
* The other woman gets away and I forget how it ends

#686

Result: Situation Hopeless... But Not Serious (1965) starring Alec Guinness and Robert Redford From a Robert Shaw novel. Thanx Marphisa, Janet The Film Goddess.

I saw this movie aroind 1990 on Spanish television, but I'm pretty sure it was an American film, or at least English-language, possibly black and white from the sixties of seventies. The story involved one of maybe two soldiers hiding out in France or Germany after end of WWII... maybe they're escaped POWs, anyway a local man finds helps them hide out in his basement, sneaking them food and news. However when the war ends he never lets on, continuing to give them false reports about the state of the war. Basically he's lonely and has grown used to their company. Eventually he brings them food that includes oranges shipped from America, with little "Dole" stickers on them and they figure our the deception. It felt like a medium budget or independent movie, a little drama a little comedy.

#685

Result: The Point narrated by Ringo Starr. It's acutally pretty old, I think mid to late seventies. It's a very trippy movie. Thanx Regan.

I saw this film in the mid-90's, probably around 1995. It was an animated movie about this boy with a round head who lived in a society of pointy-headed people. He wore a pointy hat to try to fit in, but he still felt like an outsider, so he went off on a quest in search of other round-headed people like himself. The movie was in color, but they didn't use very much color.

I saw in the eighties, one about two friends (boy & girl) who aren't in the social groups they want to be in, so they change their identities and pretend to be exchange students. Boy pretends to be italian, gets into trouble when sun lamp breaks, girl can't quite remember but she does become popular. Eventually they get found out but they still manage to get accepted to Harvard.

#680

Result: Girl (1998) with Dominique Swain and Sean Patrick Flannery. Thanx Alli, Regan.

It was a movie sometime in perhaps early to mid 90's about a girl who falls for a lead singer in a band and has sex with him in his apartment and he plays a song on the piano first. and after that she thinks she's his girlfriend but he's basically just using her. she also has three friends, a girl and two guys, that make up a band and the girl gets a record deal with a big label but they don't want the other two guys to play, and one of the guys ends up killing himself because of it. they are all graduating from high school around that time. the main girl also has sex with the lead singer on the floor in a barn. by the end of the movie i think she ends up getting her act together, leaving all of that behind and going to college (i think brown university).

#679

Result: Sole Survivor (1970) (TV). Thanx Mini Me.

Movie about an airplan crash in the dessert. 6-7 military men on board. After the crash they survived (so they thought) After several years a search group found the wreakage and investigated the wreck, the men tried to talk to them but it was as if they could not be seen. Upon finding the dog tags each man disappeared. One soldier was left because the dog tags could not be found. The movie was seen in the late 1960's or eary 70's, color.

Result: Chance Of A Lifetime (1998) (TV) starring Katey Sagal and John Ritter. Thanx Marphisa.

#677

Result: A Little Princess (1986) PBS Wonderworks Series starring Amelia Shankley. Thanx Alli.

I'm looking for a version of The Little Princess that did NOT star Shirley Temple. I saw it on television probably late 1980s. It was in color. I don't remember any character names as I was young when I saw it. I rented the Shirley Temple version, and it is not the one I saw years ago on television. Everywhere I look on the Internet they only show the old one with Shirley Temple, or a new version that came out in the mid 1990s. Neither of these are the one I am looking for.

#676

Result: The Fantasist (1986) Irish. Thanx Judy.

I saw a film in the UK in the theater some time in the 80s (I think). I believe it was set in Glasgow, but I might be wrong about that. A serial killer is sending poetry to his intended victims; a young woman moves into a flat/apartment in a big house, and I think she receives a poem that seems to come from the serial killer. I think the killer's victims are always found in the poses of a famous painter (Velasquez?). There's a policeman or detective (who I think was played by a famous actor) who becomes involved with the case. At one point the young woman comes across a photographer (possibly the killer, and possibly even the detective/policeman) who lures her into his studio, where he has lots of pictures of her, and he makes her pose, naked, in the same pose as a famous painting; she thinks he is going to kill her. The final climactic scene takes place on a ferry, somewhere in Scotland or Ireland, and I think the killer is discovered on the ferry, and possibly goes overboard. The movie was in the theaters on general release.

#675

Result: Full Moon In Blue Water (1988) Thanx RavingWolf.

The colour film seems to be set in something like a desolate mid west USA (posssibly round the '60s)and has as a central character a guitar toting loner. I saw it on British TV and the only bits I remember are the cafe scene where he plays and another scene with some girls. I think he was playing 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore' or 'Ain't Misbehavin' which seemed to be a recurring theme to the movie. I have looked around quite a bit on the net and thought I had something with Ry Cooder but got lost!. I would guess it was before '95.

Result: Where Have All The People Gone? (1974) (TV) movie with Peter Graves and Kathleen Quinlan. Thanx Alli.

Back in the 70’s, there was this movie that was filmed in the South where people were being turned into little piles of sand by the sun. I remember the actors going from town to town and finding them abandoned.

Result: The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987) . Thanx Will.

They do manage to rescue their friends in the end instead of failing as the poster remembers, and it isn't a horror film, though you could end up feeling that way after watching it as it is gross and unintentionally disturbing.

Trying to figure out what this film was has been bugging me for ages! I remember it vaguely. I think I was very young at the time so it must have been a film from the 1980's. It was in colour and I saw it in the UK. I watched it on video not the cinema I don't know why but in my head I always associated this film with the cabbage patch kids. I only remember bits that make me think it was a horror/scary film. In it there were these little dolls and I don't know how they got there but they were in a shop with a real man and one of them wet himself on the floor. (Dont know why I remember that part!) then they were trying to rescue more of their own kind from this horrible place where I think the dolls were crushed. I remember thinking in the end how horrible it was because they didn't manage to rescue the others. That's it. Not a huge description. I just remember it disturbed me when I was younger and I was upset by the end. I'm guessing I wasn't shown it by my pare! nts :) As I remember this film I'm guessing it to have been made sometime around 1986 onwards as I was born in 1983 (It might have been made before as it was a video I saw it on, but I'm guessing it's likly to have been around 1986). I don't remember much about the film so I guess I saw it before 1993.

Result: Let's Kill Uncle (1966) directed by William Castle.. Thanx Marphisa.

Ok, this film was in B&W I think. it would have been made before the 80's. Two children, girl and boy are orphaned but have a large inheritance. They are sent to live with a relative (uncle?) who would inherit the estate if they died. He then tries to kill them, trying to make it look like an accident. Nothing works and in the end he tries to get them to fall into a swimming pool that has a shark in it, although you can't see the shark as the pool is covered in muck. The children know he is trying to kill them and they get him to fall in the pool instead. I'm not sure but they may have been on an island. I am hoping my memory is not playing tricks on me, I'm sure it was a shark, but if anyone remembers something different please tell me anyway.

I saw a film in 1995 or 1996 when i was real young, the film was set in a lighthouse with a crippled boy. I think it was set in england the place was very remote on a cliff i think. I can only remember the end was sad and some one went away in a helicopter.

Result: The Third Wheel with Luke Wilson. Thanx Alli.

The movie had to have been made within the last 6 years at least. Anyway all I can remember is that there is a homeless/poor looking guy who intentially rides him bike in back of a car so that the people hit him. He has a sack of something glass and he makes the people think like they were the cause of him breaking the priceless thing made of glass in his sack. Anyway the guy follows the person around all night trying to get him to make up for breaking what was in the sack. I cant remember if it was actually just a broken bottle in the sack or what. Byt the got gets money out of the person or something. I believe that it takes place in new york city over the course of one night. I think the guy who hit the guy on the bike is trying to get to a date as well and he ends up bringing this guy who got hit with him on his date.

Result: The Tattie Howkers The Potato Pickers). The lyrics mention "the Broomielaw". "The Broomielaw" is a road beside the River Clyde in Glasgow where the ferries from Ireland and the West coast of Scotland used to berth. The song's about the cheap labour from Ireland. Thanx Gary Owen.

Does anyone know the song in the The Great Escape that Macdonald and Ives sing right before they find the tunnel Tom? Ives is "Close to cracking" and the men are enjoying a drink of homemade moonshine, and Macdonald reassures Ives that they're "almost to the trees!" The twp then interlock arms and start singing an old folk song. It sounds like an old war song but i can't figure out what it is and it's driving me insane.

#664

Result: Prison For Children (1987) (TV) with Josh Brolin and John Ritter. Thanx Alli. May 6, 2006

Not In the Custody of Strangers, I have seen that film and it is not the one i was looking for. That one stars emilio estevez, the incarcerated boy in the movie i'm looking for was much younger and not a star. Dennis

I saw this movie on tv in the 80's, it was about a young boy who was sent to jail. much of the film takes place in prison. I believe the prison was in Fishkill N.Y.. I remember that a really large inmate(FAT) acted as if he was helping the boy at first but then made advances on him sexually. I also remember that the boy's family was trying to get him out and was just about to when he was moved to that prison.

Result: Seven In Darkness (1969) (TV) with Milton Berle. Thanx Alli, Marphisa.

In the 50's or early 60's, a tv movie about a plane crash carrying a group of blind people....and it shows their struggles to find civilization in the marsh lands. Only they don't know, they are only blocks away from the road. I believe it had the actors Red Buttons, Milton Berle and Sid Caesar. These names could be wrong since it has been such a long long time.

Result: The Littlest Horse Thieves (1977) One of the ponies was blind. Thanx Marphisa.

In the mid 1970's my parents took me to see a movie about a blind pony working in a coal mine. They think it was a Disney movie but aren't sure. I'd love to find it and see it again.(This might be the 3 versions of Smoky but I can't remember if the pony was blind. me.)

#661

Result: Old Enough (1984) Thanx Marphisa.

I have seen it on HBO or a movie channel as a young teen, but the film looks to be made in the 70's and is in color. The movie is centered on this one girl with dark eyes and hair. She has a friend who is younger and blonde. Her Dad owns the building they live in. A new sexy neighbor moves in and her brother is always trying to "help" her out...basically hoping to get in her pants. Once, he even tells his Mom that he is borrowing his Dad's toolbelt to go fix something for her. At one point, the two girl friends get into an argument and the blonde girl starts walking off into a bad part of town. She gets scared. At another point, the brother is in the house with the blonde and is trying to mess with her. The sister comes in and they all go out to play stick ball in the street. The main girl is pretty upset about her brother messing with the other girl, so she is pretty mean to her in the game. Anywayz, this all happens in an area that reminds me of the bronx. I know I have seen it several times, but I just don't seem to be able to remember a title or anyone's names. Reminds me alot of where they got the ideas for "Kids" and "Raising Victor Vargas."

#660

Result: The Godsend Thanx kyacarver.

I saw it possibly in the late 70's or early 80's. It was weird. It was about a pregnant blonde woman who would hang out in the park and meet people. She met a young couple who had a baby. Somehow they take her in their home to live with them. She has her baby while living with them and suddenly disappears, leaving the baby with the couple. Her baby is "different" and seems to compete with the couple's baby. Their baby mysteriously dies, and they're left with this devil baby. Later in the movie, you see the blonde woman, pregnant again, waiting in the park for more victims. I was very little when I saw it, so I can't remember too much. I do remember that the movie had a very "dreamlike" quality to it. I think it was one of those late-night movies featured in "Elvira Mistress of the Dark".

Result: Deadly Friend (1986) directed by Wes Craven Starring Matthew Laborteaux and Kristy Swanson. Thanx Marphisa, RomanyX, Stareater, Seesees, Christopher.

a movie made like in the early 90's i think. it was color and i saw it on tv.all i really remember is its bout a teenage boy and girl and i think the boy liked the girl but somehow she got killed or died or something like that but he or someone turns her into a robot and she ends up doing bad things and at the end of it i think hes tryin to destroy her but cant because hes in love with her and she i think ends up killing him at the end of the movie.if i remember correctly they are in this room together like a hospital or something and then she comes after him and you hear him scream then the credits go up.

I figure it's an obscure 80's movie. The plot: A young woman, bookish, is in a large public library (either l.a. or nyc). While in some out of the way book room she falls right through the floor and discovers she's entered another world (either under the streets of the city or an alternate reality).

Result: Hider In The House with Gary busey and Anne Archer. Thanx kyacarver.

I don't have a lot of information about the film I'm looking for. It was probably in the 80s or early 90s. An intruder lives in the crawl space of a family's home. He becomes obsessed with the wife and children. He learns that the husband is cheating on the wife, so he sets it up somehow so the wife catches the husband at a hotel. I don't know the name of the actor who plays the intruder, but he is a tall, large build, blond man.

It was a "made for TV" film in the late 1980s. The villain was a large blonde man who looked a little like Richard Widmark in his youth. He was a psychotic youth who had burned his parents to death years ago. His parole counselor committed the mistake of turning him loose to rent an apartment on his own. He made a secret room in the attic of a suburban family, entering and leaving by climbing up and down the trellice. He befriended the little boy on the school yard, saving him from being beaten by a bully, but did not reveal himself. One by one, he killed the postman, the bug spray man, the family dog, and more, all because these individual would have ID'd him. He fell into a state of sick, possessive love with the Mother. He set up the Father with fake telephone answering machine messages to think he should meet a women from his office in the bedroom at his house. He also set up the Mother to come home thinking she was being romanced by her husband. She catches the husband with the bimmbo and throws him out of the house. The husband returns just in time to save her from the intruder when he is about to kill the Mother. The Mother was a slim, pretty brunette. There was also a young daughter in the family. The children sort of disappear during the final scene where the parents kill the intruder and are re-united in the effort.

Result: Are You Afraid Of The Dark? (1993) (TV) episode The Tale of the Frozen Ghost with Mellisa Joan Hart. Thanx Alli. Aug 25, 2006

I remember it was about a girl that died and I believe became a ghost and was talking to a male friend of hers. I remember a bridge and I think someone else killed her and she can't move on because she wants to revenge her killers maybe. I also remember the boy that she talks to needs help with bullies. It may star melissa joan heart but I cant remember. I do remember a scene where she is crouched behind a houch or something. I saw it on tv in the late 1990s. Maybe 1996 or 1997.

Result: Haunts Of The Very Rich (1972) Thanx Victoria.

I am trying to locate a B movie I once saw on late night TV. It was about a plane filled with semi-celebrities which crashed on a remote island. At first they think they are in paradise but they later realize that there is something terribly wrong and each one is in a situation which encompasesss their own private hell. The whole dilemma in the movie is whether they actually survived the plane crash or whether they are in hell, heaven or purgatory. i don't remember the name at all except that it is the name of the Island something like "Plates of Hades" or "Pillars of Eden". it was mad in the late 1960s/early 1970s and does not star anyone very famous. One scene i remember one scene where one of the men and his mistress who were on the plane say that however bad, at least they are still together and then the man's clinging wife shows up.

#653

Result: Satan's Triangle (1975) (TV). Thanx Will
.

The poster might have two movies confused, or have some details way off. The second half of his/her description sounds a LOT like Satan's Triangle (1975)(TV)
No's: no witch or quote, and doubtfully showed at a drive-in as it was a TV movie Yeses: There's a woman survivor and flashbacks (her three companions die in different ways), and also a priest on a helecopter (instead of "plane") which crashes under creepy circumstances.

This was a horror flick, I saw at a drive-in in Penn; it was from the 70s and in color. It is about a woman, witch or woman victim that curses 3 friends that will die "1 by air, 1 by land and 1 by water" or close to this in 1 year's time. The story I remember is being told by the friend on a plane that has just landed and a priest is sitting beside him on the plane, he proceeds to tell him that there is nothing to worry about but before he can get off the plane it explodes or something wierd.

#652

Result: Spellbinder (1988) . Thanx Jeremy.

I saw this movie around 1990 - I believe it had been out for about 2 years prior. A man and his buddy are walking out of a building and witness a woman being slapped by another man. The men come to her rescue and she ends up falling in love with one of them. Later in the movie you find out the buddy friend (and the woman) set him up as he was the leader of a cult and they needed him for there sacrifice. He ends up dying on the beach after the girl does her satanic dance and then a knife is plunged into his heart, and his heart is taken out.

#651

Result: High Spirits starring steve guttenberg. Thanx kyacarver.

I'm looking for a movie I saw around the mid 80's to early 90's on Australian TV. Sorry but I'm not exactly sure of the year but I'm leaning towards mid 80's. From what I can remember a couple are in a mansion(possibly castle?) that is haunted. I think the female of the couple is maybe trying to kill her partner. Maybe. I don't think she is nice anyway. Then I think the man falls in love with the ghost. The ghost steals the youth of the female and comes back to life. The female is shown as aging very fast to the point of turning to dust. I think. I was only fairly young when I saw this movie, so if anything remotely resembles this story it is probably the one.

#650

Result: Lady In White (1988) . Thanx RomanyX.

I saw this film when I was a little girl, sometime between 1988-1993. It was on TV, maybe even on the DIsney channel or something. It was probably a movie made for kids, but I'm not sure. It was in English, in color, and the main character was a school-aged boy (9-12 years in age?). He might go to a private school. The main thing I remember in this movie is a scene when the boy is trying to remember something. He says (maybe there was an over-voiced narration in some places), "I was trying to remember"...and suddenly, there is bright sunlight and the ground is wizzing below him, like he is up in the sky, rushing with the wind, at semi-sonic speed, back to this memory, which is when he was back at school. It's kind of trippy. He might be kind of sick at this point and might be being nursed by this old woman back to health as he lies in the bed her daughter used to have. I guess this is all quite murky, but this is the part I remember best: Near the end of the movie, he goes to the woman's house. SHe might be his piano teacher or something. Her daughter, a little girl, died very tragically at a young age. The old woman has tenderness towards the boy. The whole room (her dead daughter's room) is dark except for hundreds and hundreds of candles. The candlelight falls on the old woman's face in a sort of creepy way as she plays the piano (?). The boy sees a candle fall and the place begin to catch on fire. Alarmed, he tells the old woman, but she refuses to leave. The place gets brighter and brighter with the fire. The boy has no choice to leave the woman there. The whole house burns down. Then, standing outside the burning wreckage of the house, the boy sees the ghost of the woman rising into the air. In the air, is the ghost of the dead daughter too. The two ghosts re-unite. Their is something powerful and creepy about all this. The boy realizes the woman probably wanted to die in order to be finally re-united with her daughter.

Result: Endless Night (1971) based very loosely on the Agatha Christie novel. The description in the request makes this unmistakable, from the couple meeting in the art museum to the Egyptian cat statue to the indoor pool. (It is perhaps the worst film I've ever seen, but that's immaterial.) Thanx elsa. Jul 11, 2006

I saw this movie in the late 80s. It was in color and might have been made-for-tv. I remember a few scenes very clearly: The film opens in an art museum. Two people are having some sort of illicit meeting. The viewer can only see their feet as they walk through the gardens outside of the museum. The man is revealed to be the woman's psychiatrist. The woman lives in the woods in a huge home, in which there is an indoor pool watched over by the ebony statue of an Egyptian cat. The woman is being slowly driven insane by her husband (who she might -- I can't remember -- believe is dead), who is plotting to have her either committed or killed and thus out of his life. In one scene, the woman is riding her horse through the woods at night. The husband spooks the horse and it abandons her. In the last scene, the wife has managed to kill the plotting husband. The film ends with the cover of the indoor pool slowly closing over the floating body of the husband.

Result: The Bubble (1967) aka The Fantastic Invasion Of Planet Earth (Originally in 3D!). Thanx RomanyX.

This movie was in color and I remember seeing it at the theater around 1977-1979. The movie poster had the title of the movie and the words "It's Fantastic!" under it. I was about 10 so I vaguely remember parts of it. What sticks out are several scenes, one being the character was at a carvinval type fair with no people except at the ticket booth. The charcter questions the teller at the booth and all she keeps saying is "Tickets....tickets....tickets." In another scene, a group of people are in a car out on a country road and the car starts floating up in the air. The people manage to jump out except one. The girlfriend who did jump out starts crying because her beau is lost now. The only other scene I remember is one where it is a rainy night, and a male character realizes they are imprisioned in some type of glass container.

Result: The Evil (1978) . Thanx Will.

I saw this movie (in color)on tv in the early 80's, but the film istelf looked like it was made sometime during the 70's. Seems to be set in USA. It was about this group of people (several teenage types and at least one thirtysomething guy with a beard) who are in this old house, or perhaps an old institution of some sort, to fix it up. The place is haunted, and as they are trying to fix it up, things start happening and they begin to die in really weird ways. After the first person dies, the rest try to leave, but the house/spirits keep killing them off before they can leave. The most memorable part is when one of the guys finally gets out of the house and is out on the lawn, relieved that he has escaped. Then, the ground opens up and swallows him. Also, I seem to remember someone getting killed by a falling window, and a girl getting electrocuted on a fence.

movie that I saw back in the mid 70's about a woman in a large house, where there are these little "people" or creatures that you can see behind the stairs at one point during the movie. You can hear them whispering to one another. You can't always make out what they are saying. It's really eerie. At one point, the lady is coming down the stairs and she falls. (most likely tripped by the creatures). Her husband doesn't seem to be affected by these things. They seem to be after her. The movie made it look like she was losing her mind because of all the strange things going on. I saw this movie on TV. It was in color.

Result: Black Christmas (1974) aka Silent Night, Evil Night aka Stranger in the House. Thanx RomanyX, Will.

There's a movie I saw on TV back in the mid 70's on cable. It was a thriller, suspense type of movie. The parts of the movie I remember are a group of girls in a house, the phone rang constantly, you can see someone's wide eye staring through the small opening of a door. Then there was a woman's body in an attic in the front of a window in a chair with a plasic bag over her head.

Result: Curtains (1983) with Leslie Donalson as the ice skater. Thanx Stareater, Alli.

I saw this movie on Cinemax sometime in the late 1980's. The plot is a gathering of actress converging and competing for a lead role in the latest film or play, by the womanizing producer whose mansion in the country they all travel to. One by one they show, but the producer never seems to show up. The killer in the film wears all black like theatre prop changers clothes, with a white tragedy mask and a bodicciaesque wild red wig. One scene shows a young starlette ice skateing in the nearby pond on the property. As she skates alone you can see in slow motion, the killer all in black with the red hair flowing and the hands held behind the back, then one hand comes forward to reveal the large knife. One of the last scenes is of the last remaining actress running from the killer to a prop shed behind the house. It ends with two actresses talking in the kitchen of the house and one is the killer. The mask and red wig are very memorable...very terrifying.

i saw this movie 4 years ago on AMC it was playing after Major and the Minor. It was a black and white movie. could swear it had ray milland in it. it was about a haunted house, it had a girl in it that the ghost was haunting she was all fragile and stuff. the end of the movie they confront the ghost in the house and banish it or something. house is gothic looking, overlooking the ocean on a cliff. the setting might be in england i am not sure. the ghost might be responsible for killing members of the family that live there, i think she was like a disgruntled relative or something.

Result: Mysterious Island Of Beautiful Women (1979) (TV) with Peter Lawford. Thanx Marphisa.

I am looking for the name of a TV movie of the week (color ) that was shown on either ABC, NBC, or CBS, that had a Island back in the 1980's that was populated by these Amazon women. They were the survivors of a Plane Crash , which was part of an orphanage trip(?) led by a Nun. Several years later, another group of people crash on the Island, and the new survivors meet the Amazon women. There is a subplot about evil head hunting islanders from another Island, one of which chops off one of the main new survivors head off. The Amazon women worshiped the Nun as a god, but the new survivors find out that she was dead, but left a diary about what happened after their crash. The Leader of the Amazon women turns out to be bad, I think. I don't remember if they were ever rescued or not.

I am looking for a TV movie that was shown in the early to mid 1970's about a plane crash landing on a Tropical Desert Island. It was in Color, and I believe it was shown on ABC. It was a made for tv movie I think. The plane crashes on to the Island, and there are some survivors. I do not remember the whole movie, since I was very little, but It did have a major subplot about a black man being accused of rape of a white woman, but it was later found out it was a white man, who falls off a cliff when he is being chased at the end. I do not remember who the actors were. I don't believe it was either "Lost Flight", or "The New People", since I saw this show several years later than 1969.

When I was about 7 (in about 1995) I saw a film on t.v. about a female horse performer who goes blind. She used to jump with the horse from a high ramp into a pool of water. Even though she goes blind she wants to carry on performing. A guy agrees to train her. she finds it very difficult but right at the end of the film she manages to succeed (and falls in love with the guy) The female character also has a friend who dies in the 'ball of death' on a motorbike. The film is in colour. Made in the US in the 1950's possibly 1960's. I really love this film but I need to konw the title so I can see if I can buy it.

Kind of a love story between her and the police detective. Might be a foreign film. I know she shoots one of the rapist in a mechanic garage and has something to do with motorcycles. This is all I remember any help would be appeciated.

The film was probably from the 60s or early 70s, colour, there're 3 main characters, the woman, her daughter (6-10yrs old?) and the woman's so called best friend. I don't remember how the movie started but someone in the film tried to prove the woman had mental problem and her friend's trying to help her, there's one scene about she just bought this yellow dress and showed it to her daughter, and the daughter said she'd already had the same dress in the wardrobe, the little girl took it out, exact the same dress, at that moment the woman was so confused she looked into the mirror and ripped the dress she's wearing apart. At that moment she thought she really had a mental problem. But at the end of the movie she found out her friend was playing tricks on her. I watched it about 15 years ago and I don't remember any of the cast or the name of the director,

This film was shown to me at school in my English classroom in 1979. It starts out this boy is on the beach and he's kicking a soccer ball - he ends up having cancer and dies in the hospital with his girlfriend and his family around him. It's kind of similar to Bryan's song, but it's not. I remember the actor had blond naturally curly hair. I like the music that goes along with the movie.

Result: Gladiator staring James Marshall and Cuba Gooding Jr. Thanx Jeremy.

There was this movie I think made in the early 1990's. It was about a young guy with blondish spiked hair, probably in his early 20's, who decides to get back into fighting to make some money. I believe he had just moved back in with his dad who is hardly ever home. The main character in the movie looks like a cross between a young Sting (of The Police) and Dolph Lundgren. He is a loner and does everything by himself. I believe what persuaded him to get back into fighting was when he got into a fight while working as a dish washer at a restaurant. Some guy who promotes fighting saw him beat up the guy outside the restaurant and offered him some money to fight for him. While training to fight, this Puerto Rican guy helps him out and becomes his friend, in which the main character was hesitant to befriend as he is always a loner. Later the Puerto Rican guy gives the main character a cool looking hat to wear because he said it gives him style or character. The main character didn't like hats but after the Puerto Rican guy gets killed, he starts wearing the hat he gave him. After he gave him the hat, the bad guys killed the Puerto Rican guy and the main character is going to get even with the bad guys by winning the fight.

saw this film in the mid to late 80's; it was shown on late-night tv, but seemed to have been made for big screen. i'm guessin it was made in 60's or 70's, and it may have been italian, or else the lead actor was foreign (don't remember if it was in engkish or dubbed or sub-titled). very foreign in terms of pacing and tone; starkly atmospheric. anyway, a boatload of people (a yacht?) ended up either shipwrecked or stranded at sea; there were a few kids, but no parents, and a man who worked on the boat. this man was at first out of his element being responsible for the kids; the oldest child was a beautiful young blonde girl, 12 or 13, and she was at first skeptical or even suspicious of him. the man looked a bit like jean reno. the dynamic between the two was ambiguous - think of natalie portman and the hitman in the professional - awakenin young sexuality, but the adult doesn't exploit, so it remains proper and somewhat parental. visually, there was lots of bright sun (film shot in color), the man shirtless and suffering in the heat - they were running out of fresh water, i think. i also think the film may not have had a happy ending in terms of the people being saved. i think there was some emotionally tragic choice at the end - this was what took the girl's innocence?

Im looking for an american film from around the 80s and was most likely made for tv. I saw it once in 89 on british daytime tv and have been searching for it since..! What i remember is its a real tearjerker about an american family who have a young daughter aged around 6-8. I think she was called Alex who had black or brown hair. She is diagnosed with i think cancer or some terminal illness so she ends up in hospital. At the end of the film i remember she walks through the corridor of the hospital connected to a drip to say goodbye to the nurses she became friends with as she knows she is going to die.

I'm guessing 50's or 60's. All I can remember is it was about a girl living in this house with her mother who i think was crazy. At the end of the movie the girl is i think up in an attic and is listening to this recording of her birth on this record player. This movie is a psychological thriller if I remember correctly.

Result: Spectre starring Robert Culp. Thanx alline64.

I saw a US broadcast TV movie in the 70's about some creature/monster/demon/devil that was released when a gold seal placed on an ancient door was broken. The movie deals mostly with a supernatural expert hired to find a missing man (the guy who accidently breaks the seal), figuring out that something bad was released and then searching for the missing half of seal to trap the devil again. The expert finds the missing half behind the opened door in the hands of the flattened missing guy. I believe the missing dead guy was the father of one of main characters. A bullet is fashioned by melting down a small bit of the seal and the devil is shot, banished back to it's prison, and the seal is restored.

Result: My Demon Lover (1987) Thanx RunninRabbit.

I saw this movie at home when I was very young (I am 21 now so I would have been like 2-6 or so prob,), it was a rental, I am figuring late 70's (at the earliest) but probably a semi newer early 80's movie. I dont remember the whole plot but I do remember the main character and his nemesis were able to turn into demons or gargoyles or something of the like. I can remeber a rooftop confrontation between the main character and his enemy. I think the "bad demon thingy" was a friend of his or something and I know that the "good guy/demon thingy" was trying to save his girlfriend or the woman he loved from this other guy who had either kidnapper her or was on his way to hurt her. I think they had kind of blue-ish skin and wings and the whole bit but I have no idea as to the effects quality because I seem to remember things being graphically better than they often are (as I have found from finding/playing old school video games). It was definitely a color movie. And there is another thing.... for some odd reason I can vividly recal a pair of knee high red and white striped socks...I have no idea why this stands out in my mind so well but I can picture them. Trying to figure out which movie this is has been driving me crazy and it is almost impossible to find it on the web without some key idea of what you are looking for. I have no idea who was in it because I was so young when I saw it. Im very sure it's not a foreign film or anything like that. I wish I could remember more about it, but I think that is about all I got. I will know it if I see it again for sure.

It probably a late 80s early 90s movie.

Result: Hysterical (1983) and it's NOT! LOL. Thanx Alli.

I have been trying to find a film and think that it was made about 1981-85. It is a comedy and was about a long lost love. It was set in a seaside town in America and eerything surrounded a lighthouse. Although set in the present time the the basic story was about a love story which happen 100 years before! I remember a guy kept cycling up the lighthouse shouting out "your doomed, your doomed"! Something happen and invoked the crew/captain after 100 years to claim someting? Referring to the love story, it was about a captain who loved a woman called Hortensea and I can remember if she came to claim him after 100 years! I also seem to recall that in the film the crew came out of the sea and went to a church to claim an item!

Maybe I'm crazy, but I seem to remember watching the DVD of one of the Disney Pixar movies (further back than Finding Nemo) and they showed one of their short films, something like that of For the Birds, where the birds are jumping on the telephone wire. They said it never was released because they were afraid that it would scare too many little kids, but the story line was of an old woman. She lived by herself, and was poor?? maybe? and I think part of the scene was that she was cooking soup, and then she laid down to go to bed, died, and turned into a butterfly. I looked at the disney/pixar website, but could find nothing. I saw it sometime between 2002 and May of 2004, but it definitely could have been released before that. I'm almost positive that it is pixar. It was definitely animated like the other Pixar short films.

The boys go to coney island and when they arrive there the oldest brother ditches his younger brother. The youngest boy then uses his money to ride a pony. I believe the title had pony in it. The boy spends the night in coney island collects bottles so he can ride the pony. While this is going on the oldest brother is trying to find him.

Result: Earthbound (1981) starring Burl Ives.. Thanx Marphisa.

I think the film I'm looking for was made in the 70's or maybe early 80's in colour, its was sci-fi about a group of aliens (all looked human teenagers of different ages) who crash on earth in a lake. They were helped by this man and his daughter as they were trying to get back to their home planet. I think the cops or the media were after them. I remember this bit where there was a glass bowl on the table and it got knocked off and smashed and one of the girl aliens used her special powers to put it back together and it jumped back up on the table. I also remember that they were all traveling somewhere in a motor home - the man was driving and the cops had set up check points to try and catch them. They stopped at one of these and the cops bordered the vehicle to look for them but they had made themselves invisible. I also remember that one of the alien boys had a monkey with green hair as a pet. At the end they decided they couldn't go home - I think there space craft was broken and there was no way of fixing it and went to push the space craft further into the depths of the lake so nobody would ever find it

This movie came out in the mid to late 1980's. It was about a boy, whom (if my memory serves me correctly) witnessed a spaceship crash in a field behind his house (No, not Flight of the Navigator). It ended up being something similar to Invasion of the Body Snatchers. These aliens managed to get ahold of his science teacher or something and they put a needle in the base of her neck and took over her mind. He witnessed her eating a frog after class. Most of the afflicted humans wore a band-aid on the back of their necks. I believe these aliens came to earth in search of copper.

Result: Jack The Giant Killer (1962) . Thanx QuackerAttackersWife.

It was a movie I use to watch when I was a little girl(im really not sure the year), and I can remember only the major parts in it. In the beginning there was a fight between a man and some huge monster who came out of the water in what i believe was a flour mill(or a mill of some sort). The man was in love with a girl(im not sure if she was a princess or not). Somehow the girl gets taken to an evil man's castle on an island. The good guy goes to the castle and fights his way up to the top to rescue the girl. The girl was put under some type of spell and she turned evil(I remember when she turned evil she had what I think was a red{?}gown on), the good guy eventually saves her(by breaking an hourglass..?). Thats all I can really remember. Its an old movie, and its in color. If anyone has anything that can help me find this movie
