I'm looking for a film that I saw in the 80's or early 90's on TV.the film is about twin sisters, one was married and the other was single with an exciting career, they both wanted to see what it would be like to live each others lives, so they decided to switch lives for a month i think, and the twin that was single, fell in love with her sister's husband, and ended up sleeping with him, and by doing so she broke one of the rules they both agreed upon.

It was a 70's movie, early 70's about a black kid that runs away. I thought it was named "Tough" or "Bad". Kind of blaxploitation, but kind of not too. Definitely a B movie and if I remember correctly the kid ends up living in some girls garage for a little while, while he's on the lamb.

I am looking for a TV show or a movie I saw as a child! I saw it on regular TV (not on HBO, etc.) approximately 1982-late '85 (as we moved from this house in Jan '86). I only remember one scene. It was in color, present day or maybe a few years old (maybe 70's to 1985, more than likely 80's). a young boy, maybe 10 give or take, I believe has just woken up in a house, it is very sunlit & bright, the curtains are blowing around in the breeze, maybe morning, it's a nice house, I think he is calling out for his grandparents or maybe his parents, he walks all around the house, no one is there, he walks into probably what would be his grandparents' room, again empty, bed neatly made, he walks outside, the house is near water, I believe the ocean, basically in the middle of nowhere, just sand all around, I believe no other houses can be seen, he walks toward the water but down a few stone stairs, when he gets down to the beach off in the distance there are several people (I have memories that they are like cavemen), I think sitting, in a circle around a fire on the beach chanting.

I'm looking for a cartoon, in color but 60's or 70's timeframe. The little girl looks like a young Betty Boop and she wont stop eating candy. The maid which is a stereotyped black lady sends her to bed. In her sleep she dreams she is in a candy land of sorts but then all the candy comes to life and starts chasing her. I think its only 30 minutes long.

I'm pretty sure the movie is from the early 90's maybe late 80's. This couple is either kidnapped or taken hostage. The woman is young and super hot I think with curly blonde hair and the hubby is a little older and a bigger guy. As the movie progresses you can tell the kidnapper (also good looking) is attracted to the woman and she him. There is a scene in a hotel where she gets out of the shower and he is sitting in the bathroom smoking a cigarette. She isnt shocked at all and asks him if he watches girls shower all the time. Another scene is they are going through the desert and its hot. The car breaks down while they are over a small bridge. She decides she wants to go in the water in the river. Of course its a super sexual scene and I think they may end up having sex there. I dont remember what happens to the husband but I think at one point he ended up in the trunk of the car.

I am trying to figure out a movie that was being replayed on TV (not a Showtime or HBO only special or anything like that, it was just a Movie that being replayed on TV). I believe this was roughy 15-20 years ago. This movie was in color and time period was roughly modern time period. The setting was something like out in the country. What I remember was that there was an older girl (it may have been a young woman) who these boys (around the age of 10-15) would watch dress through a peep hole in the back of either her room or outhouse. I remember the structure was made of wood and it was just a knot in the wood they'd look through. I think one time this woman was even in coitus when they spied on her. She caught the main character one time and invited him in and brought him into manhood.

I viewed it in the early to mid- 1950's at the Masonic Home, Ft. Worth, Texas around 1953-56. Do not truly remember but I think it was an early color film. The film took place in the mid to late 1700's. It was about a group of woodsmen that were trappers and hunters operating somewhere in mountainous regions of the northeastern U.S., I belive. They were on foot, I do not remember any horses. The one scene I am recalling is where a group of Iroquois or Mowhawk indians is charging down hill through groves of birch trees toward this band of men hiding behind trees and logs on the ground. One guy fires his flintlock rifle and is in the process of reloading, has time only to place one cloth wad, the powder and another wad before the indian is upon him. Leaving the wooden ramrod in the barrel, he is able to get the rifle aimed and shoots the ramrod through the oncoming indian. I want to say that the introduction some scenes throughout the movie were accompanied by the theme music of Shenadoah with the refrain ."across the wide Missouri". I am not certain of this. I do not believe it is the film Across the Wide Missouri, starring Clark Gable because they rode horses and I do not think it has this scene. My wife thinks it might be a version of the Last of the Mohicans.

I remember a tumble dryer, and when she was dressed as a girl i think she wore hoop earrings. She eventually gets found out, i think maybe because she wore her girl clothes underneath her boy ones and someone sees them. I also remember the opening scenes having majorettes in them.

There was a movie I remember watching when I was young. It was made, I believe in the 60's or 70's. It takes place in a hotel where a husband and wife are staying. One day, the wife comes to find that her husband has disappeared. All his cloths and every trace of him has vanished. The owner of the hotel, states that he left and that she will not be able to. Afraid, she walks out the front door of the hotel and appears on the other side of the doorway, with her cloth ripped and burned, hair messed and her face riddled with cuts and bruises. The owner of the hotel, says that he will explain and takes her on a drive to what seems to be the site of a car accident. In the accident she sees her husband being loaded into an ambulance, but hears that he will be ok. She then turns to see herself lying on the pavement, dead from the accident. The owner of the hotel, explains that if she wishes to remain alive, she must remain at the hotel. Her husbank died briefly but was brought back to life by the paramedics, which is why he disappeared. I thought it was called Death Motel, but not sure.

I saw this film several times on TV during 2008. I believe that the setting is during the 1950's. It is the story of a married Italian man who befriends and later marries an Irish girl who has a black child. While the mother is looking into putting her child up for adoption, the Italian man falls in love with her and her child. They opened a restaurant together and at first have trouble getting customers. I believe this is a true story and the young child who was going to be put up for adoption is adopted by the Italian man when he marries his mother. The child is now the owner of the restaurant.

this made for tv movie in the early 80's is driving me nuts. The only thing I can remember is a young pretty brunette lady with long hair goes back in time. I think her husband and her moved into a house and she somehow went back in time maybe 1900's. I think she falls in love with someone and stays in that time frame. At the very end of the movie in the current time the husband or someone moves from the house and finds pictures in the attic walls that show the wife happy and healthy in that 1900's era. A sign to let her family know she is okay.

i saw this movie a few years ago(can't remember when)it is about four boys(two of them the main characters)and the girl who gets off the greyhound bus with her mother. the movie is set in the fifties or early 60's (i know because the greyhound bus is from that period)also the two boys listen to yankee games in a treehouse on the radio. when the white girl gets off the bus the two boys try to compete for her affections(by the way all the kids are between 10 and 12 years old)--the girl meets a young black girl and they become best friends--there is a church scene where blacks must sit in the balcony--but the second church scene the white girl ask the black girl to sit next to her on the main level--she does--all the white people look--but no one objects--anyway the boys do everything from selling magazines to candy to show off for the girl--there is a scene where a con-man comes to town--and something about a car with no battery? or something.the girl is real proper and her mother does dress making or something i think--might of seen it on sundance or ifc--" as i was looking for another movie i found--i thought it was delovely because of the song they sang but it was actually "two family house" i found it by looking up kelly mcdanald as i rememberd she starred in it)--but i cant remember none of the actors name--not even the young black girl in the movie--she has a family and they are poor--but at the end i think the black family gets a small house the whites hepled build--in the end the girl and her mother leave on a greyhound bus--but before that the one boy dances with her in the living room--asshe rides away they just stare at each other until the bus us out of sight. i think they are in upstate new york or around there because they love the yankees and tv is not everywhere yet. the two boys, the girl and black girl hang out eveyday--the black girl hangs because she is the new best friend of the white girl that the boys like--so there is no prejudice towards her--just a sweet movie to where i just can't remember

Jun 24, 2009

Late 80s or early 90s American film, color, possibly made for TV, but I believe it was a VHS rental. The scene that has been stuck in my mind for the past ten years is of three teenagers driving in a car, late at night (possibly running from something?). It is driven by a teenage guy, who may be the lead in the film. In the back seat is a (drunk?) teenage girl, who keeps mumbling and moaning "I want to go oot and aboot, oot and aboot." Teenage boy asks the girl in the passenger seat what is the issue with the girl in the backseat (who, I think, is friends with the girl in the passenger seat - so she isn't the lead), and she informs him that the backseat girl is Canadian, but in such a way like it was a big secret. This scene is by no means a huge part of the plot (more of an aside, a filler as they are "fleeing") - but it's the only part that's stuck with me. Fairly convinced it was one of those "geeky/outcast boy [driver] falls in love with popular cheerleader-type girl [passenger seat] who doesn't know he exists until he heroically saves the day" type films.

The movie I'm chasing the name of was made I think around the 80's in color and was on television. Unfortunately can't remember any of the actors. From what I can remember it was about a scientist who was working on some red insect/crab like creatures for the government (possibly from outter space, but not sure on that) and when the scientist was fired, took these home with him. They lived in a very large glass like fish tank in sand in his garage, and the scientist was able to 'communicate' with them somehow. I remember at one stage a man fell into the tank when he was coming to check on things and these insects totally covered and devoured him. There was also a scene where they formed up the sand to show a face in agony. For some reason I keep thinking of the name 'sand' somewhere in the title.

Im looking for a colored movie that I watched in the mid 80's. The movie was made late 70's/very early 80's. I believe the cast was staying at a hotel. or it could have just been a big house. The area becomes infected with killer ants. The people take cover in the hotel/house, however, the place becomes covered with ants and they started coming in threw cracks, etc. These were regular size ants, no crazy huge sci-fi ants. I believe this was a made for TV movie. I guess the movie was suppose to be a "thriller," but I thought some parts were just funny. I remember the hotel/house had a pool and a girl who I believed was sunbathing was attacked by the ants. It's not "Empire of the Ants."

Result: The Babysitter's Seduction Thanx sturobi. Apr 16, 2009

This movie is a horror/thriller from the late 80's - early 90's era, involving a babysitter who is eventually stalked and chased through a house by the widowed father of the child/children she is babysitting. Early on in the movie, the father seems to be falling for the babysitter - one scene that sticks out is a long kiss scene where the babysitter is in the man's bedroom, trying on an old dress that the father's wife used to wear when she was alive. On seeing this, the father is captivated and imposes himself on her but eventually restrains himself and sends her home. After that event the girl doesn't want to come back to babysit for the man, despite his frequent calls. Towards the end of the movie, the man becomes more psychotic and somehow baits her back into the house, in which he stalks her towards the upper floors. As is to be expected, the phone line is cut so she can't call for help. In the end she is (possibly) rescued by some outside party.I saw this movie around 1992-1994 at a rather young age so some of the smaller details might be off.

The movie whose title eludes me was a sci-fi/horror flick from probably the mid-to-late 80's. I'm 99% sure I saw it on tv, so I don't know if it was ever released on video. The plot details are very, very hazy, but I remember it followed a young boy whose schoolteacher ultimately turned out to be an alien (she had a very harsh voice, a robotic demeanor and she was very, very mean). She was part of a larger group of aliens whose (spaceship/lair?) was mostly underground. One day the boy follows her and watches her enter this lair (and, of course, follows her into it).The schoolteacher does not look like the other aliens. They are large and roundish, with limbs much shorter than the rest of their body. I believe their most prominent feature was one single huge eye that shoots lasers. In the end, the protagonist is noticed and the aliens try to get him, forcing him to find a way to escape their lair. I want to say that ultimately he figures out a way to get the schoolteacher eaten by the other aliens (either by accident or on purpose, I can't remember) and he escapes the lair/spaceship just in time (before an explosion? It leaves? again, can't remember).

I'm thinking this was a made for TV movie from the late 70's or early 80's. It involved a big house, and all I remember of the story is that the pool starts boiling with someone in it, the shower head flows blood while someone is showering. And, sometime towards the end, a guy is standing outside asking why this is happening while what I believe to be garden hoses come out of the walls of the house and grab the girl pulling her and smacking her against the wall. I keep thinking Andy Gibb was in the movie, but I could be way off.

The movie in question is one of the many killer bee movies from the 70's and 80's. In the movie (and I'm pretty sure this is the opening sequence) a VW bug (or similar car), driven by a person who is unconcious rolls through a toll booth or something similar. The bug is covered, completely utterly covered, with the killer bees (I'm pretty sure this is how the bees enter the town they are terrorizing). I don't recall the rest of the plot, at the time I was pretty young (probably early 80s) and I'm pretty sure I turned it off becuase the sight of the swarming bees bothered me so much. I know this description sounds pretty weird, and I may have a few things wrong, but I'm pretty sure that it looked so weird because the movie is kinda weird.

Saw a movie on I think USA channel in 2000 which was three sci-fi stories (maybe more, only remember three). One story was a man in an insane asylum with obsessive-compulsive disorder, where he tells the doctor he must keep up his behavior or the world would fall apart. The doctor sedates him, and total chaos breaks out. Scenes I remember were a woman cuddling a fish, his secretary hanging herself, and a security guard randomly shooting a car-pooler while the others in the car smile and drive on. The doctor's wife is on a plane, so he learns the routine that keeps the planes in the air to save her life from the OC patient. The patient then informs the Dr. that the responsibility for keeping the world safe was his now.Second story was a town where music was illegal, and playing it carried the death penalty. A couple learns the reason was a long time ago playing music would summon a monster. Thinking this was ridiculous, they start singing "amazing grace", and several townsfolk join in realizing they'd been controlled by fear of some old wive's tale. In the last scene the monster appears and attacks.Last story was of a college girl so devoted to her studies that she misses everything going on around her. She gets lost in a hedge maze, and comes out a year in the future. No one is around. She finds a newspaper which tells that an asteroid is headed for Earth and all attempts to stop it failed. While running from people driven crazy by their impending doom, she meets a boy who had tried to as her out before she disappeared. I'm looking for a weird sword&sorcery/fantasy movie that I remember seeing as a kid in the very early 90's or late 80's. I remember the movie was in color and was rented from a video store. The first part I remember is that this girl is having a nightmare and the only sound is a beating heart and she approaches a man sitting by a fire (he has long white or blone hair, can't remember) and when he looks up at her he has no face. Another part I remember is the hero (the facelss guy in the dream, I think) is taking the girl somewhere when they come upon this strange guy jmping around and when the hero slashes him with his sword then two of him appear and so on. Another part I remember was toward the end, I think, and it was two green-skinned Orc-like monsters fighting in a chamber on a hay-strewn floor, and my last memory is of the hero and villain fighting along a rocky cliff high above some water when suddenly a monster (maybe a sea serpent or something) rises up and bites the villain's arm off and then swallows him completely or something like that. Unfortunately those fragments are all I remember but the film seems to have been very graphic and brutal as I recall.

Movie probably made for TV around the 80's or early 90's. Set in the US, it starts with a few teenage girls driving and accidently run over and kill a vagrant man. This happened on a quiet road in the desert. The girls leave him there and don't tell anyone. Soon after one of the girls guilt ridden suicides by climing on to roof and diving head first into pool, probably breaking her neck.

I use to watch a movie on tv in the 1980's about a kid who tries to tell his family that an alien has come through the tv and is in the house eating the family. Another alien comes to kill that alien and they kill him on accident ( he's wearing like a space suit/ he is the good guy). It a generic B movie and kinda funny, i believe the whole story takes place in their apartment/ house. The boy when the alien eats the family members they still talk and their heds and body parts appear as if they are alive minus some slime. in one seen the alien eats the mom in her bed, and the boy and the sister who are left come into the room and try and talk to her, the mom talks back but is under the covers and you can see that the alen has eaten her. I though it was called monster vision, but im not sure. in the end the movie infers that the monster gets the boy who spent the whole movie fighting the monster and trying to warn everyone.

It was about a woman/witch who created dolls/puppets to kill people. At the end of the movie one of the puppets turned on her in her home. It was green with big teeth and had a knife . I remember she locked herself in a room and the puppet kept sliding the knife under the door trying to cut her . Finally I remember she caught it in a suitcase and it started sawing it's way out with the knife. She did kill it in the end. I couldn't sleep for years after I saw this movie.

I have been trying to find a film that was shown on TV in the UK sometime in the mid-90s I think. It was an American film that might possibly have been made for TV although of this I am not sure. The film looked as if it had been made in the 90s although it is possible it was made before then. I don't think I saw the whole film but can remember the tension building up towards the end. A couple, the woman possibly having long curly hair, are in a car trying to leave/escape a town that they had stayed in overnight but every road they take leads them back to the town or towards the people they are trying to escape from. This was the main focus of the film towards the end. There was something really strange going on that meant they could not leave and they became more and more desperate/frantic in their attempts.I am definitely NOT looking for Children of the Corn which has a similar effect when all roads lead the same way.

The Movie was about a scientist that turned into a Terradactyl like creature that snatched women waiting for busses etc. and took them to a cave on what looked like the cliffs of Dover, the lead man found the cave , climbed down a rope and killed the scientist as he was turning back from the monster, and the scientist fell out the cave entrance into the sea below.

The movie I am looking for is an American color film, most likely from the late seventies or early eighties. It used to come on tv a lot in the late eighties/early nineties, so I am not sure if it was made for tv or not. The movie is about a woman who has a series of odd dreams, one in which someone is hypnotizing her maybe? And she is being told that her biological clock is ticking. I think there is a scene where she is hiding in a closet or something. The woman, I believe is pregnant, and I suppose the dreams have something to do with the danger of the baby. This is not Rosemary's Baby. At the end of the movie, there is a nurse or someone trying to steal her child. She is either trying to escape on a speedboat,or getting into a car that is close to water. The two women struggle and I think eventually the nurse sinks in the water? (unsure, I was very young when I saw this movie) I thought the movie was called To Save a Child, but that is not it, and it is definitely not Rosemary's Baby.

The creature started out nice when it was found but when 2 guys tried to steal it to sell they made it angry and in grew claws and fangs and attacked them when they killed it they cut it into 4 pieces and each piece grew into another creature. I believe it was a comedy/horror. At 1 part of the film the creatures were driving a car and started messin with an old lady who then began throwing cherry bombs at the creatures car till they noticed 2 girls in a lake and they stopped and went into the lake to mess with the girls. Also electricity turns them into stone.

He skips school one day, only to find out that the school was taken over by terrorists who want parents to cough up big money to release the students from the elite private school. The terrorists have a list of the richest kids in school and tell everyone else that they can leave. The troublemaker's stepsister (whose name was NOT on the list) stays to be with her best friend. I saw this movie in the 90s. I think it was a Disney movie (or a movie suitable for younger audiences). It was in color. The beginning of the movie was set in the 60s (or whenever poodle skirts were the "style"). A guy and a girl in a pink poodle skirt are coming or going from a school dance. The guy is driving a convertible (maybe red?). The couple is driving over a bridge and they try to avoid a head on collision but end up driving over the bridge and into the water. From there, the movie FF into the "present" day. The plot might have involved those people coming back to life or somehow the story repeating itself in the 90s.I think it also involved a link between the song that was playing on the radio at the time of the crash and the present day story line or maybe the title?

I saw it on Time Warner Cable within the last 4 years between late 2005 to 2007. Its a movie about 2 little girls that who are left w/ a woman who has a spare bedroom for them to live in while they're parents travel & work w/ the fair. The oldest daughter who may have been around 12/13 experienced horrific abuse by the woman and other children there. At one point she was kept in the basement while children came and took turns abusing her w/ cigarettes. The lady was keeping letters from the girls and would lie to people who would come by to inquire about the oldest daughter, telling them she was sent away to some kind of school for kids who were constantly into trouble. If I'm not mistaken she escaped & got a ride to the town where the fair was and found her parents. It seemed like it was an older movie, not at all anything that would have been recent. My heart went out to the little girl who went through such abuse and this movie has stayed w/ me ever since. I also believe it was based on a true story but I'm not too sure on that. ColorThanks!

The father was away helping the war effort (possibly dead, but I don't think so). The daughter was sent off to a boarding school, and her mom gave her a note to give to the school saying that she was to stay there for the weekends. However, the girl didn't like the boarding school, didn't give them the note, and found an old abandoned house to stay in for the weekends. She starts to fix the house up. She begins to hoard food in her pockets to take to the house with her. Can you tell me the name of this boxing movie? It was in b&w, circa 1950-60, about a guy who learned to box in the Navy and who, going pro, would always win by losing his temper, going primal, fighting dirty and going overboard, pummeling his opponents beyond the KO needed to win. The actor had black hair and looked a little like John Saxon. The movie climaxed at a point where he loses the fight but in such a noble way that the audience cheered him as if he was the winner. "Kid Galahad" would not be it because the seeker would remember Elvis. He does not think it is "Navy Bound" either. The character in the mystery movie is mild-mannered and really doesn't want to box. When he does, "he totally tweaks out". Also, he didn't have family to protect or support. It is not "The Square Jungle" because there is no Navy connection. "From Here to Eternity" isn't it either because it is not a predominantly boxing-based movie and is set entirely in the military. "Monkey on My Back" also isn't it because this character does not have a drug problem. Obviously, a number of movies have been suggested and failed the test. Perhaps there's one that escaped our attention during numerous searches.

it's a movie about a girl who was isolated and abused growing up and i think it's her mother that takes her outside one day (she's like 11 by this time) and her mom is at the drug store when a pharmacist notices bruises on the girl's face. so the girl gets taken away and placed with this psychiatrist (male) who tries to help her (oh there is also a more compassionate female psychiatrist working with her too). anyways they have to teach the girl how to speak and feed herself and do normal things but they have a deadline to do this and the deadline is when she first gets her menstral cycle. a main part i remember is the girl being strapped in a chair and her father coming on fours and barking at her like a dog and trying to frighten her. this part was black and white. i rented this movie from i definitely woundn't say it's any older than the 1990s. got it from either rogers video or blockbuster in maple ridge, bc.i cannot remember any of the character's names except the main girl MIGHT have been elizabeth or katie ? i don't know. it was a great movie though and i wanted to write a paper on it in the next couple of days so as soon as possible would be great!

He then gets re-born. Don't see him again until he is in his late teens and (possibly) living in a car. He gets taken in by a family - and it turns out it is his wife and daughter. I am searching for a movie that I thought was recognized at Sundance sometime in the early nineties. It is about an inn in Maine, a woman who comes to work there after being released from prison (having served time for murdering an abusive stepfather?), a relationship that grows between this young woman and the Innkeeper's reclusive son. The Inn is offered for sale through an ingenious contest. The end is tragic, featuring a rushing mountain stream that drowns the young woman.
