This is a very scary scifi I tuned into one late night, after it had begun. I stayed up to watch it all the way through. I believe it was made around the 80s. I think it took place in Australia (accents, maybe?). This guy wakes up, surprised, thinking he's committed suicide. He's alive. He soon discovers though that everyone else is dead. Well of course, not EVERYONE. He stumbles on two other people, a woman and another guy. THey are trying to figure out the mystery of their survival. At some point they realize there is a planetary event that recurrs regularly and wipes out all life.key here is all living things. If you manage to be DYING just as it happens, you survive. I think they do this for a couple of rounds before they get all existential about it. What's the point of surviving, etc etc. Much angst discussion and debate follows. THey need each other in order to be dying at the exactly the right moment when the event happens. How can they let someone just g ive up and die. Who wants to be last, etc etc. Scared the CRAP outta me.

I saw this movie or TV show when I was quite young, so it was definitely made prior to 1996. The details are fuzzy, but it was a monster flick, and the only thing I recall was a scene that was inside a house, possibly under a flight of stairs, where it killed someone. The ending of the story had the monster locked away in a trunk or box, I believe. It was color, and most likely made in or before the 1990s. It was also quite gory, if I remember correctly. If it helps, I believe the creature in the film was hairy, possibly a werewolf or an ape.

I believe this film was made in the late 1970's. My memory of it is pretty vague, but from what I can remember, a couple are driving, and either something goes wrong with the car, or they are pulled over by a cop. At any rate, they end up in a town, with an insane judge who keeps finding things to charge them with, and won't let them leave. The judge has two disfigured sons living with him, and they help him keep these people prisoner in the town.By the way, there was a closeup shot of the judge at one point in the movie, and if you were paying close attention, his nose was shaped like a penis! It had no part in the movie, but I always wondered if I imagined that, or if it really was some screw up in makeup. This movie was in color, and there was lots of explosions and flame at the end of the film, just as with most b-scary films of that era.

I am trying to find the name of a horror movie that was probably made between the 1970's and 1980's. It's about a group of kids, not really young ones but teenagers, that go to like a provate school. No beer, no girls and boys together, kind of stuff. On Halloween a small group of about 6 sneek out and go to this old house. While inside this demon, which is a female and I think she was a bride, gets to them one at a time. She even sleeps with one of the guys, but he doesn't know it's her, she's nasty and dead of course. One part of the movie I believe a girl found this lipstick in the bathroom and went to use it and it was like a worm thing and went insde of her, through her vagina. It's also like the house itself plays a big part in it, and at the end of the movie one girl, not sure if there were more than one by the end, has that lipstick and that's how it ends i do believe. I think there might have been more than one, but not too sure,

In the mid to late 80's I remember seeing a show that was either a part of Saturday Morning programing or possibly after school programming. I'm pretty sure that what I'm about to describe was one episode of a series, not an individual movie or tv special. For years I thought it had something to do with the Hardy Boys. Anyways, the plot of this particular episode was that there was this house in town that was of course all run down and mysterious looking. I remember that the yard outside the house was all overgrown and filled with weeds. Anywho, the main character (a boy) decided to go into the house for some reason and inside the house he found a room that was completely red (as in, they lit the room with very strong red lights so that even the normal things in the room were totally red) and I'm pretty sure that the room was haunted by the ghost of a boy, but I'm not positive. I'm pretty sure that the name of the episode (or if it was just a tv special) had something to do with the red room in the title (as in, "The Mystery of the Red Room" or something like that).

I have searched but cannot find the name of this movie. It is a black & white film and I thought it stared Barbara Stanwyck (sp?) but maybe it was an actor that looked like her when she was young. The movie was shown on AMC some 20 years ago on Mother's Day. The story line: Single pregnant woman gets the boot from boyfriend - he gives her $ for the train out of town - she meets a pregnant woman on the train who is on her way to meet her dead husbands family for the first time. In the bathroom she gives her wedding ring to the single woman so she can wash her hands and while she tries the ring on the train crashes. She wakes up in the hospital and they are all calling her by the married woman’s name - she tries to explain but no one will listen so she ends up just playing the part. She falls in love with the brother and all is good until the old boyfriend shows up to blackmail her. - the movie has several more twists that lead to a great ending!

I'm looking for a drama made during the 1990's that takes place during the 1700/1800's in Ireland or Scotland. It is about a very beautiful Irish/Scotish/Celtic? girl who is believed, by the villagers, to be a witch. She is the only daughter of one father.no mother involved. Her dream is to leave her village and see the world (London or Paris, specifically.but I can't remember which). One of the local villagers is in love with her, but offers her no means to leave the village. She ends up marrying the local rich boy based on the belief that he will take her away. He is an avid reader and defaults on taking her away. Ironically he becomes so farsighted that he loses his abiity to read. The village lover offers to take her away if she will leave her husband and run away with him (the lover). However she is drowned in a river during their "escape."I don't remember any of the actors to be well-known and it may have been an independent film.something I picked up at a video store because I liked the cover. The actress is a brunette and for the longest time I thought is was a young Catherine Zeta-Jones.

This one's a modern take on one or more classic fairy tales. It's a movie I saw in the mid to late nineties and it had that sublime ethereal feel of the period (The Reflecting Skin, Twin Peaks)and the main character was a young woman. All that I remember is the girl defeats her nemesis turned witch in the end and I believe there is a reference to Baba Yaga. After defeating the witch, the girl walks out of the woods which now are alive with cool special effects. Happy ending. I think the movie only launched into fantasy in the end, but I may be mistaken. The movie is color and I believe it was in english.

I'm trying to find a TV episode ala Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Outer Limits, One Step Beyond etc. All I recall is at the end of the episode, a young boy (or girl) at home, is staring at a painting of an old seafaring ship on the high seas. As he continues to concentrate, the painting comes alive. In the next scene, one or both of the parents are searching for him but can't locate him. They pass by the "still" painting. The camera then focuses on the ship (which is now moving) in the picture frame and I recall seeing the boy onboard the ship. I don't recall if he was calling out to his parents or not. I belive this episode aired sometime in the 1960's.

movie I saw on television about 10 years ago (1999). It was about a young girl, living with her grandparents, after her father, a pilot, died in an airplane crash. She wasn't nice to him that last morning and feels guilty. She is probably 10-13 years old. She finds the ghosts of a piolt and a navigator in the woods near a swamp near her house. I believe this was the plane that tried to go from Paris to New York a few days before Lindberg made his successful flight to Paris. This puts the area somewhere in New England or New York. This movie takes place in modern time (probably around the 1980s.) She establishes a relationship with both, but espoecially the navigator. As i recall, every time it rains (or there is a fog) they go through the crash again and again and again. They are locked into this pattern. "People" are going to try to take the plane out of the swamp for its historical value, but if the plane is moved, the piolet and the navigator will not be able to get to heaven, to finish their journey. She helps get the plane ready, with the help of a friend, and the pilot and the navigator complete their journey. She asks the navigator to tell her father she loves him and she's sorry when he gets to where he is going.

Its about a little girl who keeps waking up with night terrors of the Boogeyman. When her dad comes in to check on her, the room is empty. I think she draws pictures of the boogeyman during the day. She explains how she is safe if she hides under her covers. One night, the father hears her screams and becomes frustrated and upset. He goes into her room and begins to scold her on how she needs to grow up. As he does so, the closet starts to open from behind him and then you are looking through the monsters eyes as he nears him. The Boogeymonster then starts to do whatever boogeymen do best. I think I remember the little girl saying, "I told you the Boogeyman was real!" as he attacked her father. The Boogeyman looked cheesey and the sound effects sounded like something from the 70's, but it still sent chills down my spine. At the end, it did say it was based on a horror novel by Stephen King. It is not the 80's version of the Boogeyman. I imagine that this is going to be rare because it isnt a full length film but it is definatley worth watching. Also i checked through Google, Youtube, and every possible horror site and im still looking.

Saw a black & white horror film in the 1960's (1963-1965) I lived in the Lower East Side of Manhatten. The film was shown at a theater around the Delancy Street area. All i can remember is the main character's name: Nancy. There were other people, possibly students & an experiment gone wrong. She turns into a horrible werewolf creature with huge fangs. I'm still afraid & I'm 50!

I first saw this movie on Tv in the late 80's early 90's. The plot, as I recall, revovled around something living in the house- a ghost, or evil 'intelligence'. I can remember once scene where the camera focuses on the thermostat then shows the circuts inside. There is a black or silver 'bubble' that shouldn't be there. Not long after the shot of the 'bubble' the camera goes into the bathroom with the woman in the shower, where the entity makes the water as hot as possible and prevents her from opening the shower door. Her husband or boyfriend manages to get her out. Later in the movie the transformer on top of the telephone pole near the house explodes.

saw a black and white movie many years ago when i was very young. because of my age i really only remember only a few sporadic details, the most memorable one being that, when people put on these black sunglasses, they become mind controlled somehow. i have never seen or heard anything about this movie since then. must have been more than 30 years ago when i saw this. if this is a sci fi film, sorry! not sure if you have a sci fi page. been wanting to see this movie as an adult for years; but have almost nothing to go on!

I originally watched this film back in the 80's and it was on "The Movie Network" (or whatever it was called back then) here in Canada. My memory is vague, but from what I remember, it involved a group of kids who were kidnapped and taken to a desert-type setting and held in a cave. I seem to remember something about a female jogger that was killed by the kidnappers, but again, I may be off base. The kids have to learn to work together and are finally able to kill the bad guys and get free. I have searched for this movie online before and was told that it was "Fortress", which I found on Ebay and watched. Unfortunately, this was not the movie I was looking for, as it was situated in Australia and the one I was looking for was in North America.

I saw this movie several years ago, sometime between the years of 1994 and 1999, but it might have been made earlier. The details have gotten a bit hazy, but here are some basic points I recall:- The story takes place in an Asian country, which is either colonized by the British or has a large british population living there. I believe it was China but I'm not 100% sure.- The main character is a young girl from the country, very poor, who escapes/smuggles herself out of a field she is working at into the city. When she gets where she is going, she either pretends not to speak English, or she pretends to be mute, and is taken in by a very wealthy British family. They feed her, dress her up, and generally parade her around their wealthy party circuit. They give her all sorts of clothes and jewelry and whatnot. - Now, these details are the super hazy part. something comes about where someone realizes shes not who she says she is, and that person/people specifically make it their business to reveal her. The climactic scene in this part of the movie occurs when the young girl is having her portrait painted, and someone comes into the room and reveals to everyone who she is (either that shes not mute, or that she can speak english, whatever the details of that are). - The family that took her in is shocked and appalled and very upset. I think she goes to jail and then escapes, or goes to jail and then is rescued by someone. I don't remember the last part. The main detail of everyone being British is solely because I remember they spoke English, but it might be one of those films where everyone is supposed to be French but speaks English for the viewers sake. They could even be Dutch, I'm not sure. the whole movie is color, but muted colors I believe. I think it came out around the time the movie "Legends of Roan Inish" came out, I kind of remember them at the same time.

I'm looking for a black and white film that was on tv around 1969 or 1970. It's about a woman who adopts a daughter after she finds out she's dying. She teaches her exactly how to care for her husband. One seen shows the daughter serving the father a meal and the father shoving the tray away because it reminds him of the wife.

Armstrong, Jesse Vint Thanx goblyn, MystMoonstruck. Feb 2, 2009
Not sure of the time period on this, but it was likely made in the 70's. Color I think, but it may have been B&W (sorry, I know that doesn't help). The only scene I remember is one of a person standing in front of a mirror in the bathroom unaware that anything is going on, and notices in the reflection that there is a body in the bathtub behind them (underwater I believe). The main thing though, is that the eyes are white and I think the person in the tub sits up causing the one who noticed it to freak out.

I saw this film in the early 90s on tv. The film could have been made either around that time or in the 80s. I don't remember much of the film other than there was a woman in heaven, she could have been an angel, who was granted a second chance and a new life on earth. There is a man who loves her and wants to go back to earth too so he can be with her. Since he is not supposed to have this chance, he is reborn into a very poor life. I think I remember him, when he was a boy, playing in the dirt.
Result: Outer Limits (TV) There's an episode of the original series, called "The Bellero Shield" (1964). Sally Kellerman gets trapped in a forcefield that looks like a glass enclosure. Nobody chants or sings, but there is an alien who makes a humming sound when he speaks. Thanx RomanyX. Feb 2, 2009
I have been searching the "found" pages and so far none of the films have been the one I am looking for. I saw this film on tv in the late 60's or early 70's. I can't remember if my tv was black and white or if the film was. I was young, maybe 10 or younger and all I remember is a lady sitting inside or outside of a cage or glass enclosement. A young man was there too, he may have been the one inside. Some people were walking around the cage or glass container chanting or singing. They seemed as if they were sad or mad and I think some of them were crying. I don't remember thinking it was a scary film, in fact, I think I felt tremendous sadness. I thought the guy in the film was wearing either black-framed glasses or sunglasses. I know this isn't a lot to go on. I don't remember a lot from my childhood but for some reason, I remember this part of a movie. I could have been a Twilight Zone episode for all I know.

This movie was at Blockbuster around 2001. It was about a girl who rented a room in an apartment full of models. It turns out the room is actually a closet because the girls have so many clothes they need a full bedroom to keep them in. They take this girl out with them for dinner. There are a group of rich men who have been begging to take them to dinner. The models make the men wait somewhere else (bar? another table?) where they can look at them but not talk to them. After dinner the men clamor for the privelege of paying the bill.

I remember seeing this movie in the late 80's or early 90's. The movie was set in the 30's-50's. All I can remember is a kid stealing/ borrowing his parents car for him and his teenage friends to ride around in. The kid wrecks the car in the middle of a pasture and is worried his parents will punish him. The main character is sneaking around in the swamp and finds a witch's shack. I think she sees him peeking through the window and grabs him, but i'm not sure. The movie was in color. I remember seeing it at home, but don't recall if it was on tv or a rental.

Premise: The movie starts in what looks like the Old West, a young woman with auburn/red hair is in the midst of chaos, fire the whole deal. When said woman is about to be killed, she wakes up in her cubicle in present day. which I think at the time of the film some time around the late 80s early 90s.She later goes on to explain the dream to a friend, saying how real it was, like she actually had lived that life. She meets a young man with brown hair. and then dies in a car crash. He's at the hospital when she wakes up from being dead. An older man is there as well, he is her protector of sorts. She finds out she's some sort of immortal, all those vivid dreams were actually memories of the past, and she is being stalked by some evil guy bent on world domination etc etc. We also find out the guy she met earlier is also some sort of immortal. The ending is happy, it ends with the girl and the guy together, but the Asian guy who told her about what she was, and who she was had given up his immortality to save her. He was tired of living forever etc.The movie seemed to have a distinct action/fantasy feel to it, and had lots of dark lighting for most of the chaotic/action sequences, and bright lighting for the scene where she wakes up in the office, meets the guy. and generally before she finds out who she is. I think the man is Lancelot, and the woman may be GuinivereThe older gentleman (I think) is Asian, and has something to do with a hawk, which may lead to my belief that Merlin is involved in the movie. The time period when I watched this was around the early 90's, but the film could be from as early as the 70's through the mid 90's.It is my firm belief that she is supposed to be the daughter of Merlin, but this may just be wishful thinking or a misunderstanding about the movie.

Documentary about family-owned department store closing: I saw this on TV, probably in the late 80s or very early 90s. It most likely was in color. As I recall, a female member of the family that owned a Brooklyn department store filmed this documentary about the store closing and the changing neighborhood. The store was pretty shabby and outdated. I'm not sure if this was a stand-alone film or if it was part of a longer documentary about different people all along one street in Brooklyn, and I thought it was called 8th Avenue but nothing's coming up in search at imdb.com. I believe two of the other segments had to do with a male prostitute and a dry cleaner, his store was also probably closing. Re the dry cleaner, I remember a customer being interviewed saying she enjoyed patronizing his shop because even if your clothes weren't ready, he'd at least tell you a joke, but then again she said, that doesn't do much good because you can't wear a joke. To which the dry cleaner immediately said, "But you can wear a joke out!" So I don't know if I'm looking for one movie or two! I could be wrong about any of these details -- it could have been the Bronx, another street, etc.

I am looking for an old black and white (film noir) film about a mute woman being pushed down the stairs. This isn't Kiss of Death/Widmark. The woman was mute and had something like a ink pad and stamp that she pounded as a way of communication. I just remember her pounding it frantically as she was pushed by a man down the stairs. I would have watched the film in the early 1970's but it was definitely black and white. I don't remember any actors or other scenes. I believe it was an American film but I don't know city, etc. I saw it on television when I was a kid.

The movie I'm trying to get info on is from the late 70s or early 80's. The movie was about a teen (driving age) who finds a like lazer cannon that fits over the end of his arm. I remember one scene where he's looking at the cannon and its on his dresser on like a stand. He pretty much terrorizes a bunch of bully teens. Blows up a restaurant with the alien like lazer cannon. While wearing the cannon it begins to make him evil or something. If I remember right he finds it in the desert.

I saw a movie in the early 70's about a young blonde women who was constantly terrorized by zombies that apparently only she could see because she tried get help from the police, but they did not believe her. Towards the end of the movie the zombies chased her on to a beach where she collapsed in the sand. Later, the police were searching for her and all they found were her tracks in the sand and the place where she fell. The movie ended with a seach team finding a car that was partly submerged in the river and when they looked, had dead bodies in it and she was one of them.

When I was like 6 years old. I remember watching a horror movie with vampire batts that are killing people from a town. It was in color and had a group of people in a cage hooked up to electricity. I also remember one of the main characters (native american) goes into a cave and ghost of an ancient tribal people with a temple appears in the cave and seem to be in control of the bats. I'm sure it's not night wing and has to be in the 60's-80's.

I remember in the late 60's to early 70's seeing a black and white horror movie on television in which there was a scene of a living head being carried around in a box. I believe the person carrying the box was under control of the head. In one scene, the person carrying the head was just outside of a window, at night, and pulled the head out the box, showing it to someone inside the house - the eyes were open and the mouth may have been moving.

Mid-to late 80s, possibly tv series or made for tv short horror. A group of friends buries a man (their friend) up to his head on the beach at low tide, leaving him to drown. Later, at a birthday party, the man returns in the form of a mud monster/creature, and presents a birthday cake with one of the friend's head on it.
