I vaguely remember a black & white film, where a giant brain lived at the top of the stairs in house. I believe it shot some kind of rays and killed people. I know that it's not the Brain from Planet Arous. It might have been from an Outer Limits/Twilight Zone type anthology, but I haven't been able to find it.

The movie i'm looking for is roughly late 80's maybe early 90's. I remember a family; mom, dad, daughter, son. The dad and the daughter have some curse that kills people i wanna say in a quicksand like matter. This is a movie I watched sometime in the late 80s or early 90s with my sister. It would be a US movie, I suppose. Color, I'm pretty sure. It was a vampire flick.I can only remember two scenes from the movie.One, the main characters are hiding in (I think) an elevator shaft, or something along those lines. This would be considered a '70s made-for-TV movie (color). It involves a killer with red eyes (maybe yellow) who grunts and sounds more like a monster than a human being.He is a servant to a demon-god. He "prays" to its statue in a basement and is using the blood of his victims to perform the ultimate incantation to summon the demon. He performs the incantation in a circle with a pentagram inscribed within.At the very end he is foiled by outside interference.I remember that a girl was relocated to a house or motel to escape the guy (he was tracking her down specifically for some reason). I am searching for the name or copy of a children's animation of the Russian fairy tale Baba Yaga, that I saw on VHS around the late 1980's.The Baba Yaga story is 'The Witch', where two children, maybe twins, go into the woods/forest when they weren't meant too, and are captured/meet the witch Baba Yaga, and her ominous house with a skull and bones fence.They escape by using three magical items they had come across, or otherwise stolen from her house, to evade her pursuit. Set somewhere between 1984-1994Big fat genie in the movie, boy found lamp either on the beach or it washed up on shore, wants genie to grant wish for girl to fall in love with him. Genie says he cannot grant that wish, so he gives him big house on beach, lots of money, and the girl is turned off, because the boy changed after getting big house on beach and lots of money. I saw this movie on tv in the early 90s and I think it must have been made in the 80s. The only scene I remember is at the end of the movie, a team of mercenaries is trying to catch the villians as they escape in a helicopter. The strong man of the group either grabs the helcopter blade as it is starting to spin or holds the helicopter down to prevent it from leaving. Another member of this team might have been a ninja.

I am desperately seeking information on what I believe was some kind of made for TV Christmas special. either a movie or a show, I can't recall. It may have been Canadian-made, as I live in Canada and recall seeing this when I was young, sometime in the 1980's, or possibly very early 1990's at the latest. i saw this movie when i was probably about 6 or 7 so it was prob between 1997-2001. its in color and i had seen it off of a vhs tape. i believe it was about a latino teenager who grew up in a gang and he did something (i cant recall) that made him go to jail and he would keep getting in trouble so he would stay longer. i remember one part when hes working in the kitchen in the prison and theres another guy whos gay and he keeps hiting on him so the kid takes him in the back and pretends to want to do something then shanks the guy with a screwdriver.

I remember watching this movie a few years ago but it's from the early 90's i believe. It invovles a group of friends who are sexually active. there is one guy in particular who seems to be the leader. the other friends get together and decide to murder him so they lure him out to a lake and multiple people stab him. they all think they got away with it but one of them ends up rolling over on them and telling the cops and they all get caught. One of the girls who goes to prison ends up having a baby in prison. I believe it is based on a true story too since at the end it gives the jail time that each person is spending due to their invovlement in the murder

I believe this was an Italian film that was dubbed into English from the late 70's or early 1980's. It was a sci-fi film that dealt with alien invaders. The one scene I remember is where a blonde-haired boy is fighting off these space troopers who are all wearing white armor, which is obviously a direct copy of the storm troopers from the "Star Wars" movies. This kid is armed with a slingshot and shoots grenades at the storm troopers. Every time this kid shoots a grenade from his slingshot, it hits one of the troopers--killing him. The troopers continuously fire at the boy, but never hit him. In the end, the boy and his allies win the day, with all of the storm troopers being killed.

I watched this movie when I was a kid and I used to rent it from blockbuster all the time probably between 1992-1995(but I don't know when the movie was made) it was in color and on VHS. On the cover I believe was a picture of a monster or mutant who looked like a heavyset human with six to eight arms. A couple of things I distinctly remember about the movie is, In the beginning of the movie the family of monsters or mutants were on a bus and the female monster with no legs water broke and I remember all of the water coming out of the bus door, and the man with multiple arms delivered the babies( she had like 5-7 babies like a litter). I also remember that the father to the babies was a half man/monster also that was connected at the hip to his normal looking brother. I also remember at some point in the movie the mom got killed by a regular person, and she had the coolest looking half casket.

I'm looking for a film (I've only seen what I remember as a trailer) that is about a young women who gets trapped by these guys in the back of what I believe was a black 40's or 50's coupe. The car then goes (pushed?) into a lake and she is unable to escape and the men watch her drown. Later she comes back with a mutilated face to get revenge. I saw this as a kid in the 90's at a special effects demonstration at what I believe was universal studios, but am not sure. They had the prop corpse come out to scare everyone. I saw a color horror movie in the theater between 1971-73 when I was about 9. Best I can remember is it is about this guy who transforms every night between the hour of 2 and 3 AM into this facially disfigured man who covers his face with a scarf and hat, but you can see his eyes and the discolored skin between them. I think his hands were disfigured in like manner too--there might have been some bleeding. I recall his anxiety in anticipation of the change as the clock approached 2 AM. There was also a scene where a man is put into a spiked coffin. When the body is revealed, I remember the red hole in his head. I believe it might have been a Hammer Horror flick because of the style but I can't be certain. Reviewing many of those, I have failed to discover it. I'm sorry but I have no character or actors names, as I was very young. I can't recall the plot or the way he became cursed to live this way either. The only details I am absolutely sure of is that he changed at 2 AM and changed back at 3 AM and the coffin/spike scene.

I have tried this 2x, but with the same response. The movie is NOT "nightmares" from 1983. This is a completely different big rat type horror movie with a rat that kills a utility man fixing wires in the basement & then a family moves in after consisting of the husband, wife , a little girl with CURLY DARK HAIR (not the blonde girl with straight hair in nightmares) and a family DOG (NOT a cat in the movie nightmares.) The house has a huge dollhouse/clubhouse in the backyard that the little girl hides in at the end of the movie.Nightmares does NOT have any kind of dollhouse in the backyard. Somewhere in the movie the DOG gets injured (not killed like the cat in nightmares) & the local vet takes him to this office to try to figure out what happened to the dog. Any help with this movie would be appreciated.but I can tell you it is definitly NOT nightmares! (I think we get the message! - me)

I saw this film in the 80s when I was about 7 or so and it really frightened me, and before being sent to bed when the killing started I can remember several details. Basic plot is a group of people need to stay one night in a house for some reason - and it was rainning, a lot. The details are a little hazy but the thing goes like this. A old couple lives in the house and it was a special day for them because it was the night they were going to release their son from the attic. He was forced to live there his whole life only being fed through a slit in the door. The boy was imprisoned as a teen because he impregnated a young girl and attempted to perform himself an abortion using a scalpel. He killed both the girl and the baby. So, after taking everybody to the attic (don't remember why) they discover that the boy has already escaped. The room is dark as hell, stinks and is full of very old toys like dolls (one of the dolls was covered with worms). The whole room was scratched on the walls, scratched made by the boy, now old, going crazy while staying there - perhaps something like 20 years. At one scene a woman falls down the stairs and needs to wash up, someone directs her to the wash bin in the room she was staying in. When she washes her face with the water it turns out to be some sort of acid and her face melts off and she dies. The tires of the car were cut and destroyed (likely by the crazy man fingernails). At another scene a woman in found hanged using on piano string. The guests die one by one.and forced to live there his whole life only being fed through a slit in the door.

I saw a movieshort story(not sure) in the mid 80's about a boy and his mother living by the ocean.I am not clear on the details but I think he might have fallen off a cliff and died in the ocean. I saw this movie on Videotape in the early-mid 80's: it could have been made earlier. It was a colour film, and my memories are jumbled up enough that the descriptions below may be more than 1 movie. An early scene involves children playing outside in the winter. One of them either falls through the ice and drowns, or gets poked in the eye with a nail. There is a house, with a mother, and an older man (perhaps her father) who in one scene opens a drawer which is filled with creepy crawlies. He's locked in, and the room fills with spiders/snakes which kill him. I remember something in the attic - either a rocking chair or a painting whose eyes glowed.

I watch this movie series on the Australian SBS or ABC channel back in 1997-1998. It was only on for half an hour once a week & I think it took five weeks to compete the series. It was European with English subtitles, may have been Spanish but not sure. It was about a princess who had two sisters & she was the adventurous one, her mom died giving birth, she grew up & her father expected her to marry someone he chose. He continued to invite suitors to the kingdom hoping to marry his daughters off.But she did not want to married so she cut off her hair, dress up as a boy and went out of the castle to fight a witch. She found a magical friend or something like that, who helped her along the way. Also a prince came across her in the forest & before she ran away he saw only her eyes and fell in love. Now I think she was just coming out of a cave after killing a beast or something (dress as a boy), when they meet again (the prince & her). The prince is confused as to how he feels because she is a boy. Its was set in medieval times, with those beautiful long dresses & was really a feel good movie. I can't remember if it was on the Disney Channel or not (I watched alot of the Disney Channel)It is about a kid (I think a boy) who keeps winding up in this house (I think though a portal or shortcut or something through a cemetary) - The house is abandoned but then at certain times of night it comes alive and keeps re-living this same night over and over and each time you see more of how the night ended. On American tv in the seventies, on weekend afternoons in the New York area, sometimes they'd show these fairy tales, I think before the movie they were showing that afternoon. The fairy tales were live action, humorous or outrageous in some way, looked like they were made in Eastern Europe somewhere (they were probably dubbed), and would be on sporadically. It seemed like they were short programs with various stories, and they seemed to take place mostly outdoors. The only thing I remember vividly is a scene of Baba Yaga's hut, which was shown actually turning around on its chicken legs. Following up suggestions, I looked at clips of Morozco, but it didn't look like anything I remembered, and I also checked out Mrazik, which seemed more promising, but the hut didn't look the way I remembered. It's also not Story Theater, or Fairy Tale Theater with Shelley Duvall, or Jim Henson's The Storyteller. For years, I thought it was called something like "Far Out Fairy (or Folk) Tales", "Freaky Fairy (or Folk) Tales", or something like that, but that might have been just what my family called them.

I believe the movie was shown on T.V. in the 70's. As I recall it was about a family of young boys who were being raised by their father, but left alone a lot. Neighbors thought the boys were being neglected so child services stepped in. The boys were taken from their father and sent to mental institution.It seems like the era was in the 1930's or 40's. I just remember it being a very moving film about injustice.

I am looking for the name of a black and white movie, I saw it as a child 5-7 yrs old around 1970.One image had me scared to death and at 43 I still can't forget it. this movie starts out with two girls going to a private house party. only one of the girls wanted to go actually the the other one felt like 'there was something wrong' when they pulled up (the girl drove an SUV if i remembered correctly) in front of the house it was all boarded up and looking real shady. the girl who didn't want to go insisted that she stayed in the car, so the other one gave in and said she'll just stop by and hi and "be back in 15 (or was it 20) minutes" but then she waited in the car for a long time (45 minutes?) and still no sign of her friend. so she got out of the car and went in the house. a big tall guy (the bouncer maybe?) lead her in the house and down the basement. the whole time there was no one in sight. she goes down (i think the door was shut behind her) and hears screaming and sees two people hunched over and when they part, it reveals that a girl (her friend?) was on the tables her lips bitten off. apparently those two hunched over were eating her. the girls screams and run and hides in the closet.

Movie probably made in the 1950s. Setting is Victoria England; or 1890s US. Two sister; one mousy brunette and other blond (I feel sure the blond was Lana Turner but cannot confirm). Mousy sister (may have been Olivia DeHaviland)is in love with seaman. He goes to sea and while on leave writes a letter of proposal for quiet brunette sister to come and marry him. However, he is drunk and addresses letter to blond sister. She goes; marries him; and eventually their marriage works out. When they return to home the quiet sister has become a Nun and gives a dialogue how all circumstances work out for best.

I am trying to find a movie that I saw about 6 years ago. It is in color. It is about a group of boys in I believe a catholic school. They pull pranks and get in trouble. I remember one scene where the boys are about to get paddled and there is a heavy boy who pulls out a note that says he is not allowed to be spanked. He ends up getting paddled the worst. This is a western/sci-fi from perhaps the 1960's. What I remember is that there is a small town out west that is built at the base of a mountain (it is actually an extinct volcano). There is some kind of evil force within the volcano which keeps the townspeople in fear. Once day these two adventurers come in to the town to find out why the townspeople live in such fear. They decide to investigate the evil force within the volcano. I remember that they go up in a hot air balloon so that they can land within the volcano's crater. As they near the crater, two missiles suddenly come out of the crater and hit the balloon, sending the two men crashing to the ground. A loud voice then emanates from the volcano that the whole town can hear, which warns the townspeople not to do anything like that again.

I saw a movie a few years ago about a middle aged woman who has an affair with a younger man. I think the movie took place in Italy and the woman was visiting. I thought the main characters were Jude Law and Anjelica Huston but have been unable to find anything under their names. The young man enters her life sort of helpless and in need of some polishing. She is evidently rich and he is a poor local. By the end of the movie he is in total control of the relationship with her pleading for his affection.

I saw this scary movie in color on a VHS tape when I was really young back in the 80's. I was way to young to watch it, but my older brother had rented it & let me watch it. I remember there was some guy/girl couples or a group of people & I want to say that they were trapped in this warehouse or running through a warehouse type setting from a killer in a mask. I want to say it was a clown mask, but I'm not 100% sure. I only remember 2 main parts from the movie. The first one is a guy in this really nasty public bathroom in front of the mirror & he goes down to splash water on his face & when he comes back up the killer is right behind him in the mirror. The second one is the killer drops a butcher knife from the ceiling or rafters down into a guys head. One last detail I remember & I could be totally off on this one, but I am almost sure that the song "broken wings" by mr. mister is played during the movie. That song was released in 1985 so I'm guessing this movie was either made in 1985, 1986 or 1987 when the song was still somewhat new & popular. Plus, my brother that rented the movie graduated in 1986 & I know it was right around the time before he moved out.

Ok, i saw a movie that i am sure is sci-fi in the ealry 90s to mid 90's. All i can remember about the movie was that there was a female alien, with human form, who needed energy to live. The movie I am looking for I saw around 1983-1986. I saw this movie on TV.It is in colour. It is an English movie. The main character was an Indian(or Eastern person). His friends were all white and he was walking in downtown London one day when a post white lady fainted on the street. The main Indian(Eastern) knew about mouth to mouth resuscitation and performed it on the woman who was revived and mistakenly took the Indian for a doctor. Then she invited all her friends to vist the Indian at his place. He eventually set up an office and was getting many visitor from women who mistakenly thought that he was a doctor. He got kind of worried but it turned out that he bacame very popular.

The main character is competing with other models and her biggest competition is this other girl who ultimately steals the main character's boyfriend. I remember a scene with four-wheelers and everyone got all muddy. Eventually, the enemy is told to go to some dark warehouse-looking building. At the time she is wearing a swimsuit under a coat and mysteriously gets pushed off a balcony, and dies. One of the investigators says she was in her underwear.

I saw a british film (maybe australian) in either 98 or 99 on HBO . It was in color and a movie no older than from the 92ish. All i remember is that the main character use to poison people maybe by scratching diamonds and mixing the product into people's food. but maybe it was arsenic. he was caught and spent time in jail/psych ward. The bathroom in jail had lice. thats one meaningless detail but a detail nonetheless. Anyway, he fakes suicide by hanging in the bathroom at one point and at another point tells the psych about a fictitious dream he had where he was throwing away all of his poison into a body of water but this was just to fool the psych who didnt buy it. he keeps making references to the bubonic plague. anyway at one point he is released and goes to live with his sister. one day he is feeding his baby niece her baby food but his sister thinks he is poisoning the baby. he realizes people will never trust him and starts poisoning people again.

Trying to find this b-horror flick I saw back in the 80's on tv (color). The memories are pretty vague but I remember the "distorted blob" of a monster having a connection with the television set itself. I believe it came out of the tv and was fed tv dinners by the victims who at one point, thought it was friendly, but resulted in another kill scene. One scene involved a woman somehow possessed, or actually was the monster in disguise, killing a guy in a hot tub.

I'm looking for a movie from the 80s about a group of college kids that are studying a Mummy. They x-ray it in the sarcophagus, and find a hidden compartment with jewels in it. So, they steal the jewels and give them to their girlfriends and stuff. Anyway, while x-raying, they give it too much juice. The energy causes the Mummy to come back to life. It turns out the Mummy isn't really a mummy, but an alien. And the alien mummy needs the jewels to get back to its planet, (I think). So, it starts chasing the college kids and killing them. If I remember right, there was even a horrible bacteria on the alien mummy, where everything he touched would turn horrible green and get totally consumed by it.

a film with an american actress, not an older lady, i saw in the seventies i think definitely between say 73 and 79 but i'm sure it was made way earlier as it was black and white. woman comes back after being out shopping, she goes into a room where she had placed an item (at this time unknown to the viewer) looks to the table where it was left and all that's there is a necklace that apparently was round the doll/figure that she has just bought. there's an inscription on it, it says that if it loses the necklace the spirit comes alive, as she reads this she (and the viewers) hear the noise of feet running across a room, she goes to where she thinks she hears it and then it attacks her. this goes on throughout the whole film where she tries to kill it drown it, gas it etc etc, and of course it all the time is slashing cutting and trying to kill her, it's about 12-18 inches high i think, but i watched it over 30 years ago. in the end scene you see her composed, and you think she has finally killed this little demonic dwarf like entitly with bloody big teeth, she calls her mother and invites her over in a normal voice, cuts to shot of her with huge knife and a mouthfull of razor sharp teeth and she then squats down on the floor and starts digging a knife in the floor waiting for her mother to turn up, the end. I am looking for a film that I believe may of been made in the mid to late 90's but Im not sure. I can only remember certain things about the film and I think I might actually be mixing two different movies up. What I do remember is that at some point in the film there was a picture of some old people wearing dark glasses or something like that and I remember that for some reason at the end of the movie people were trying to stay out of this tunnel and the "monsters" made them believe they were driving somewhere safe when they were actually driving into the tunnel to die. I remember that there was a an incident where the walls of the house were all red. I also remember something about sacrafices in the basement as well.

A new family moves in with little girl with dark curly hair, mom & dad & the family dog. i saw it around 10 years ago on british tv, it was about a little boy that called out to his parents in the middle of the night but they chose to ignore him calling out to them.the next day the little boy is found dead in his room, as he accidentaly strangled himself with one of his toys (i think it was one of those pull-along wooden horses), and this was the reason that he was calling out to his parents.his mother then starts to be haunted by her son, and see him around , although his sister cannot see him nor can any other of the family members.

I saw this film when I was a teenager (90's) but it was on tv, so it could well be older. It was about (sort of) a guy who entertained at kids parties- he had a mechanical suit thing, and when he moved the clown moved/danced whatever. And there was a killer, who wanted the clown man dead. I can't remember why though, just that they had a big fight, and the bloke still had his clown suit on, so the clown doll was fighting empty air. That's all I can remember- not much to go on! Oh- and its an american film I think.

The film I'd like an ID for appeared to be European and is from the 70s to early 80s. The main character is a adventurer who retrieves items related to the supernatural. I remember the actor playing the part as having a craggy, middle-aged face and stocky body--he was not a young guy. The opening sequence shows him entering an old fortress and being attacked by flying fireballs while he retrieves an artifact. Later he uses a team to infiltrate a city with a temple which holds an orb(?) with special powers. They use rock-climbing equipment to traverse the ceiling and bypass security. Once he retrieves the orb from a statue he transforms into a two-sided monster--one side sprays plague and death, the other brings life. I seem to recall he uses the life-giving side to resurrect and heal one of his companions injured in the break-in while he rains destruction on the local army with the other side. I also believe that once he put the orb down he returned to normal.

I saw this movie in the early eighties, could have been a British movie. It was about a group of people being invited to a huge mansion, possibly at the lure of an inheritance. People start dying one by one by mysterious but clearly orchestrated accidents. One man is burnt alive in his room, a woman is killed in a swimming pool when a glass lid closes on the surface. One couple survives in the end if I remember correctly and the woman is given the inheritance by the dying proprietor.

The most I can remember is this teenager had a car wreck but it was all staged the towns people made it look like he died in the wreck but he didn't. Could be a film, but I doubt it.Anyways, some guy I believe picks up a chick and they end up in a hotel room. The chick suggests they play a game, the goal is that he endures 1 hour (or so). There is a clock by the bed. She says "ready?", then lifts her arms and disappears under the bed to his astonishment. He looks under and she's nowhere. He can't leave the room. Suddenly all hell breaks loose and all sort of monsters and stuff start attacking him. All this goes on for 1 hour, etc. He's almost made it and just seconds before the time is up and he's home free, to his terror he sees the clock rewind rapidly. He starts to scream. End.

I have spent years looking for a horror movie that I saw as a teenager. I was born in 1974 and I remember going to the movie theatre to see this movie, and there was nudity so I had to be at least 13 or 17 to get in to see it, which would put it somewhere around 1987 to 1990. The only scene I can remember is a very pretty girl sleepwalking out of her house to the outside pool and she sleep walks into the pool and wakes up when the water reaches her face. I've always thought the movie was called Mortuary or something along those lines, but I cannot find anything relating to that.

I'm looking for this movie, it's an old film, probably early or late 70's I only remember a few things about it. It was about a girl on her 20's, her name was Linda. I guess, she arrives to this big mansion, probably owned by her aunt or whatever, an old woman whose name is Rita, I think that's her name, but not sure, she founds a red ball she used to play with in her childhood and she has some flashbacks: the red ball bouncing next to her on a corridor. She's locked in a room and an old woman looks at her through the keyhole saying -Linda, I can see you- the girl stands with her back to the door and puts something through the keyhole. There's also a car accident: a white old car crashes on the highway. Near the end as a grown up, she goes with a man to the house, looks at the red ball bouncing before her followed by the dead man on a wheelchair. I don't know if is an European or American movie, but it looks a little like one of Dario Argento's movies. It's not The Changeling.

Looking for horror movie made in early 80's or late 70's. It was about some kind of mutant, I think they looked like turtles, that lived in a cave and attacked a house near it. I thinkd the house was close to a beach, not sure. They were crawling in the vents and I think at the end or close to it the sherriff and some other people found the cave and destroyed the creatures.

Back in the mid/late 1970's I saw a movie (color) on television in where some man was bitten by a snake, and he slowly, and painfully, started turning into a snake himself - writhing around on the floor in muffled agony and protest. Unfortunately, that's the only scene (and a disturbing one at that) I can remember. I want to say that there was a woman behind the whole ordeal, but I cannot be certain.

In the early 1980's I used to watch Cinemax and HBO at night, and remember seeing an "Alien"-type movie. A group of explorers landed on a planet, and unfortunately, the only scene I remember, is that where one of the female astronauts gets raped by a giant centipede on their way into some mountain or cave entrance.

The movie described in #4940 sounds exactly like what I am looking for, but the few plot summaries I have found online for the Title provided (Terror From Within) do not seem to match the posted description at all. Here's what I am looking for.Back in the mid to late 70's there used to be this show on Fridays called "Shock Theater" in Milwaukee. It ran cheesy b horror movies. The one I am trying to remember was about a florist, or plant shop, or ? Anyone who visited this place mysteriously disappeared.The main characters couldn't figure out what was going on till the very end. There was this vine like plant that would capture people, and basically suck their souls into glass jars. You got to see people get "grabbed" by "something" and hauled off screaming in terror throughout the movie, but you never knew it was a plant, or what the plant did to them till the very end.There was a sheriff (or police officer) at the end who was going to save this woman, but he failed (cause his car broke down) and that's when he found the vines, which were under the hood. He was the last to be taken.The very end was a shot of a shelf full of glass jars, with people's faces showing in terror. It zoomed in on one jar which was the sheriff (the one who figured out what was happening) to get caught by this plant.
