film that involved a group of guests trapped in a haunted hotel. The movie was in color but looked like it was produced between the late 1960's to the early 1980's. Yet, the only scene I remember consists of the hotel guests accepting their doomed fate at the hotel bar, one of them stating something along the lines of "It's All Hallow's Eve," and then a flat cardboard octopus prop comes to life and grabs a hold of one of the kids and turns him into a cardboard prop.

She is on the front step and I dont know how she fell, but all of a sudden a large branch/tree comes flying out of the woods and goes between her legs, killing her. They dont show it but she was sprawled out, legs spread. It was not the original evil dead.

I remember watching the ending of this movie, most likely from the early 80's at my aunts house. I believe it was on HBO. The movie ended with a human in a dark room on a table where an alien is shown stading to the side. The alien sprays the human (male I think) in the face with a mist/gas coming from his hand. Some point after this, the human is completely covered by some type of latex sheet. The alien then cuts open a slit in this sheet where only the human's eye is exposed. Here is where the movie ends. I don't think the movie was out after 1986 so I have a strong feeling that it was sometime before 1986 on HBO.

so Im desperately looking for this older movie ive seen years ago. All I remember is two children, i believe they were with a foster family? their was a boy and a girl (The girl was older). so this girl was sweet to the parents faces and evil behind their backs. All i remember is her pushing her younger brother down the basement stairs and stabbing the family dog (i believe golden retriever). I think it is a horror movie but maybe it was a lifetime movie? Something in my mind keeps telling me the young girls name was katherine, but my mother denies it.

well all I can tell you is in the beginning of the movie there are these 2 giant "tuning forks"? that this scientist is using and he somehow taps into this face altering dimension and he grows a bump in the middle of his head then this worm shaped thing with an eye pops out of the hole in his forehead and he sucks juice out of some-one's eye socket and he's dressed like a doctor or something and I remember the cover of the VHS tape it had a face that was sorta stretching and deformed and stuff I can't remember to much because I was about 15 or 16 when I rented it and I'm 35 yrs. old now. But the main thing I remember is this alien worm thing popping in and out of this poor guys forehead and looking around. It was a sick movie with good special effects.had to be either early or middle 80's.

Result: Dead Of Night (1945) This might possibly be the haunted mirror segment in the British anthology . There's no flight of stairs, as the person describes, but it does feature a hysterical woman pleading with a man to not look into a mirror over a dressing table because something bad will happen to him if he does--he knows this, but doesn't care. The segment ends shortly after this. Thanx Moongirl. Dec 2, 2008

Hi, the film I'm looking for is a Black & White horror/suspense film from the 1950's (I think!)All I can remember of the film is at the end a woman is pleading with a man not to go up a flight of stairs into a room which contains a dressing table with a mirror. From what I can remember, terrible things happen to whoever looks into the mirror.the guy knows this but is determined to go up the stairs anyway and look into the mirror.the woman is hysterical as she knows something terrible is going to happen to him.I think the film ends there!

Result: Babylon 5 perhaps the pilot movie. Thanx Kelvin. Oct 22, 2008

In the early 90's I saw a pilot episode for a TV show that was great but wasn't picked-up. I keep remembering the title as "Star Force" but have yet to find it as such. Two warring Interstellar human factions call a cease-fire and hold an apparently successful peace summit on a Space Station, where the Hero of the story and his crew are in Dress-uniform and obviously doubt its sincere (This is the very beginning). A report or something of a disturbance or suspicious activity sends the crew off on a mission, a cool little ship though a bit 'Seasoned' apparently, the FTL is a type of SpaceFoldDrive that creates a corridor and I'm not sure whether or not they can fight in FTL. Turns out the other-side has a fleet or a large mother-battle-ship in the system they traveled to, they fight and end-up luring it into the asteroid ring around a planet to take it out I think. I'm not sure but I think it was on NBC, maybe ABC or Fox around '92-'95(I think San Diego Ch-8)

The girl grew up and didn't die, but a guy who she fell in love with died in the sea. Then another part of the film says that there is a girl riding on a bicycle with her boyfriend.and there was a terrible accident, and the guy died. The mother of the girl sent her to the island. She met an old woman and tells her a story about accident. The woman takes all parts together and comes up with an answer that every 50 years somebody who related to that island has to die because there won't be any fish. After the guy's death there were tones of food. That's how it ends.

The family went to the place they make the robots and all the kids said their names in this voice box thing so the robot was familiar with them. The robot is shipped to their home and some of the kids don't like her. A boy runs in the middle of the road and is almost hit by a car but robositter runs out and pushes him out of the way just in time. Result: White Dwarf (1995) (TV) starring Neal McDonough as the young doctor, Paul Winfield as the older doctor, and CCH Pounder as a nurse. Thanx Troy, VideoKid, MystMoonstruck. Oct 20, 2008

I saw this on television, and I think it was broadcast on a PBS station, but am uncertain, sometime between 1988 and 1998 (best guess). Story line:A young doctor travels many light years to a distant planet (and is not happy about having to go there since it is extremely remote and is considered not very civilized). The clinic where he will work is run by an old doctor who turns out to have some of the local magical powers. The doctor either can turn into a wolf ? or some creature? but specifically has the capability of a howl that can either kill or rejuvenate life. There is some evil rich lord that the old doctor must visit so he can heal the lord or his daughter. The young doctor from earth finds this sort of magical transformation rather hard to believe at first.I think this is the same movie where the good? baronness (or duchess) has been imprisoned for centuries. The prisoners are sentenced to eternal life. There are strange creatures (very large fat non-human looking) that are their wardens that stick their tentacle into the prisoners mouth and this venom or liquid keeps them living for hundreds of years. It is considered a fate worse than death, and it is part of the law of the land. The good baronness (or duchess) towards the end of the film talks the keeper creature into taking them to the beach (the duchess and a couple of the other prisoners) so they can go play in the sea, since they had not been outside for very many hundreds of years.I think the keeper creature gets into a lot of trouble for this?

I have been looking for this movie for the longest time. It was made in the mid 80s to the early 90s. The plot revolves around the followingA boy/man lives in an abandon buiding and has little social contact with the outside world. He looks kind of crazy/artistic and has decorated his living space very artistically? Anyway, I think the story involves a company trying to revamp the abandon warehouse space and then they find him there? He then is befriended by some people and a girl eventually helps him be a little more social? They end up hooking up in one scene. The evil land developer/yuppie guys want to get rid of him and his friends and launch a plot to destroy his way of life -they even catch his girlfriend and then he starts messing with them and he wins eventually I think he dissapears in the end to live his life free of the constraits of society? it was either filmed in Los Angeles or Philadelphia. The movie has a strange title - I think it was the name of the character that was played.

I am looking for a film I saw in the late 80's. All I can remember is that its about a strange boy who lives with his father and has a dog. Everyone in town laughs and makes fun of him. His father abuses him and i think ends up killing his dog. There is a beautiful girl he is in love with. He is constantly searching for "the Mother Ship" to take him away from this small town. Also, he ends up in a stand off against the police, I think he is in a diner and the beautiful girl he loves ends up falling for him.

Result: Marias Lovers Nastassia Kinski Thanx alan. Jul 4, 2009

I saw this movie in the mid 1980's on HBO or another cable channel. I believe it was made in the early to mid 80's.The movie's time period is the 1930's or 40's. The characters are American and live in America. I do not remember any character names or actors' names. The plot:There is a pretty young woman (looks like Natassia Kinski or Pamela Sue Martin, if I remember correctly) who has a few boyfriends, but does not get too serious with them. One boy goes off to war and I think she promises to wait for him. When he returns they get married. She wants to have children. He obviously loves her and, in fact, is totally obsessed with her. She has never been with a man, so there she is on her wedding night hoping all the waiting was worth it. But he doesn't do anything. He doesn't touch her. She blames herself. Months go by, maybe even a couple of years. They attend baby showers for friends and she looks sad. Everyone asks her when they will have children. Her friends start to assume she can not have children. One day she accidentally sees her husband having a few moments of intimacy all by himself. She's very happy because that means he is able. So she confronts him, with happiness, but he still doesn't do anything with her. She eventually meets a sleezy man, a salesman or something. They have a fling. He is absolutely stunned to discover she is a virgin. She becomes pregnant from the fling. All of her friends are happy for her but they assume her husband is the baby's father. Her husband does not accuse her publicly, because he doesn't want anyone to know he could not be the father. But he leaves her or something, I can't quite remember. The last scene is in a bar with a bunch of ne'er do wells sitting around a table telling tall tales. The husband is there. The sleezy salesman is also there, though they do not know eachother. The salesman tells his tale of the married woman he met years before whose husband had never touched her. I have searched the movies of Nastassia Kinski and Pamela Sue Martin, but I guess it was not either one of them since I can't find it.HELP. I figure it was made in the early 80's since it was on cable in the mid to late 80's.

Result: Romance (1999) french movie Thanx rickdenim. Jan 10, 2009

I saw this film between 1997 and 2000 (theater). It's in French, color. It's about a young couple, I'm almost sure they're married. It's narrated by the woman. He lost interest in sex, most of the time he's reading. She is discovering her own sexuality, "exploring possibilities", and doing some weird stuff with other guys, specially one guy with beard. There's an scene of the married couple making love, with her on top, and she says something like "I'm riding you", he gets upset and throws her off the bed, she gets pregnant that night. The husband keeps taking her to night clubs, even when the pregnancy is too obvious and she doesn't want to go. He keeps ignoring her, and she ends hating him. When she goes into labor, he's sleeping and doesn't want to take her to the hospital, so, before she leaves the house, she open the gas stove valve, but with no pilot on. When the baby (a boy) is born, he wakes up and does something (light a match, open a door?) and the whole house explodes. It has graphic scenes of the birth of a baby. It ends with her saying something similar to this "If God keeps a record of the souls in earth, I don't owe him anything, for even if I took one life, I brought another one."

In 1995 I saw a science fiction film, Hollywood production (I think), on a VHS tape, maybe recorded from tv. I think the film is not older than 1970 and not newer than 1994. At the begining of the film a man walked on an old batlefield (robots fought there, some years before), covered with snow. His job was to collect parts from this robots (I remember a steel skull painted in the colors of the US flag). Then he returned to his base, where a team (including at least a woman) build a robot from all kinds of parts. Things went bad when the robot attacked them.

Early 1970s: I know this film must have existed but don't know how I could have been allowed to watch it. I remember seeing it in the early 1970s and have never forgotten it. A boy sits on a railway embankment and has some horrific mental fantasies as various trains rumble past. A vivid and distrubing memory was of him throwing coloured house bricks threw the windows of the train and the passengers were screaming and covered in blood as we actually see the bricks injure people, adults and children. I think I remember a paperchase in it but may be being confused with The Railway Children.I am pretty sure he derails a train in the end and his fantasy ends as we see him seated on the railway embankment as though nothing had happened.

Result: Far From Home (1989) with drew berrymore Thanx angel. Oct 20, 2008

there is this movie which I believe Alicia Silverstone(the girl from Clueless) played in. I am not for sure it may be another girl. Well all that I can remember is that a girl and her father moved to this town that only had trailers. It was a podunk town and it was desert like setting and very hot. One boy named Pinky likes her. He is very shy and dosen't talk much. The other boy that likes her trys to have sex with her, I believe behind a trailer or fondles her I dont remember. Well she sort of likes him. I believe the boy she likes kills his mother whiles she was in the bathtub by electrocution and later on in the movie a car catches on fire when some family was trying to leave and I believe somebody didnt make it out the car. Throughout the movie you can tell that the boy she liked has issues and he evens trys to kill her. I believe he killed a cop at the swimming hole or pond whatever it was. Pinky ends up saving her and the other boy dies. But then Pinky wants to have sex with her or kiss her, whatever and she doesn't and so he gets mad and trys to kill her but he ends up falling off of a ledge in the factory bulding and dying. The movie is very dramatic because these to boys like the new girl and they both turn out to be mentally ill and they kill people in the movie to get closer to her or to keep her and her dad from leaving the town. I also believe the dark haired boy or we can call him the one she like to have had a sibling who was complaining of being hungry and not really caring where the mother was. Very weird movie. I believe Pinky to had been blonde with a very pale face and a pink face from being out in the sun and the boy she likes had like long but short hair. He was cute and dangerous looking. Very eager to get in her pants.

I saw this movie in 2005 in on TV and it was in color. There is a slight chance that it is a french movie. Probably made in the 80's or after. It TAKES PLACE in a town probably in the early 1900's. The movie has a very odd vibe to it. It's very dark. Lots of silences. The plot is as follows:There is castle (or at least a large house) owned by a man who always wears a mask. He is seen as the king of the household. He owns or runs some kind of circus and everyone in the house (the circus people) fears him. The movie is a sort of dark version of Beauty and the Beast because the "circus" folk are all pretty crazy and are always running around the house, but somehow this chaos is allowed even though the masked man obviously prefers to be in control. The main character (the actor has brown hair and seems to be in his thirties. I thought it was Collin Firth, but I guess I was wrong) I believe is some kind of painter. He is a guest in the home (I guess doing paintings of the circus). Later in the movie, he falls in love with a middle-eastern looking woman with very long dark hair(presumably the masked man's wife or love interest). They are caught sleeping in the barn together. Later that night she throws herself off the roof in the rain and dies. Towards the end of the movie, the painter then either goes insane or gets very sick and the crazy circus folk go into his room (a very large loft) and put his bed on a swing and swing him around. It's a pretty weird movie.

I think it is a black&white movie with sound, most probably from the Gone with the Wind era of movies. Although it might have color, but we did not have a color TV set home. It starts with an engaged couple getting ready for a ball in the South of US (pre civil war). She is a v stubborn young lady and chooses a colored (maybe red) dress for the ball, which is against social etiquette according to which unmarried girls should wear only white dresses. So, he takes her to the ball and they start dancing and everybody gets out of their way, isolating them in the center. After this embarresment, he takes her home and he leaves the town going to the North. After a while he comes back married to a v nice, warm-heated lady from the North and they have a few kids i think. They keep friendly relations with the former fiancee, but she is not over it. Finally, a pest or so endemic breaks in the South and passage to the North is forbidden. The guy gets the disease, and he would be sent to an island where they isolate the sick. His wife wants to go with him of course, sacrificing her life most probably, but the former fiancee (still unmarried) asks to go in her place, so the wife could stay and take care of the kids. The movie ends with the former fiancee following the sick guy in a cart to the island.

I saw this movie on TV in the late 70s, I think, but I do not know if it was a made-for-TV movie. Lead female character is embarassed three times (I think) by three faux friends. She is then in an accident that leaves her in a full body cast (maybe) with her face completely bandaged (definitely). When she emerges from the face bandages she is beautiful and no longer recognizable as her former self. She proceeds to hunt down the people who had previously been mean to her and kill them. The scene that it burned in my brain is one in which she rigs a bathroom tub faucet so that it cannot be turned off, and sends her old enemy in to take a bath. She stuffs towels under the door to create a tank in the bathroom, and the bathroom fills with water and drowns the girl. I cannot remember the other killings, but that drowning scene still makes me nervous in a windowless bathroom.

Result: Invitation To Hell (1984) Thanx Kelvin. Oct 20, 2008

This is a late 80's to mid nineties movie I think. The only scene I remember is what I believe is a sacrifice scene. I'm pretty sure a woman is tied to a rock and she is screaming. A group of other women are around and I think there was some sort of laser/disintegration ray thing that either the cult women would turn on or summon to destroy the person being sacrificed on this rock. I just think I remember some sort of energy beam killing them, but maybe it was fire or something else. I also think that they did this to multiple women throughout the movie. And while the one woman was being disintegrated, there may have been a guy or girl that cared about the woman that was watching from a distance who wanted to save her but couldn't because they would be caught and killed. The woman being sacrificed was wearing like a robe dress. The place she was being sacrificed at kind of reminded me of The neverending story right before when the hero boy was running through those gates with the lazereyes because of the dark atmosphere.if that makes any sense.

There is also a scene where the girl and her friend are in the mall and they get in trouble for spraying each other with perfume. Closer to the end of the movie the musician finds out her real age, I believe they were at a drive in movie, and is really angered and takes her home. It seems like he was driving a big station wagon.

A woman from town (maybe a teacher or social worker or something) takes her in and buys her new clothes, takes her to a carnival where they go on a ferris wheel and the little girl throws up afterward. Also, at one point, the little girl gets together with some other kids and they stomp a bird to death and kill it. The woman is upset with her.

I thought this movie was called the Sandman, but I looked it up and it didn't sound right. I saw it on TV. There was a scene with a boy who had his mouth sewn shut, apparently by his father. He sees his father beating his little sister, I think, and for some reason the mirror in his room is broken. The boy picks up the mirror shard and stabs his father with it, killing him.And I'm pretty sure this is a scene from the same movie: A couple of people are running through a building trying to get away from the bad guy, who was the little boy from long ago. They go into a room and barricade and lock the door, but the guy gets through by being sand and coming though the key hole and bottom of the door. I know that sounds like it's from the Mummy, but I saw this before that came out.
