I saw a black and white movie ( looked like it was set in 50's or 40's) about a a witch ( old lady ) with a ring on her finger. She died and the butlers and maids place her on her bed with her hair strung out over the bed. They said she died by being scared to death. The look on her face was horrific! One maid takes the ring and after the suspence of the scraping sound coming down the hall way, the first maid opens the door is scared to death by the witch. One by one the maids and butlers take the ring from each person as they die.

There was this scary flick that I watched sometime in the 1970's or very early 80's. The scene that I remember the most was when this lady went into the kitchen for a drink of water, and then all of a sudden she hears a weird noise out side. She then walks to the back door in the kitchen, opens the door and begins walking down the steps and slowly looks around. She is a bit scared, but doesn't see anything and turns around and heads back in through the kitchen. She walks to the counter grabs a cup of water and drinks it, then all of a sudden she grabs her stomach like something is happening in there and falls to the floor while her stomach grows, as if she was pregnant. Then, gives birth and this man is coming out of her and she dies. This man is alien inside of him.

I believe it was the ghost who was having sex with the main male character. It wasnt raunchy, it was more passionate if I remember. He took a sledgehammer to the wall and found the body there. The movie is late 80s early 90s I believe. It definatly had an R or higher rating.

I must have been 10 years old when I saw this on TV so it was probably made in the 90s or even earlier, maybe early 80's.It's about these twins or brother & sister (they were probably 10 to 12 years old in the film) that have these weird hands or something cause the film's about their father chopping fingers off. the brother lives in an orphanage or a mental institute because he's kind of autistic. He doesn't speak. He has this big piano drawn on his wall. He also has a woman case worker who tries to make him speak and she end up saving his sister. The sister lives in the basement of her father's house where she's locked up from the outside. I don't think she speaks either. anyway, their father drives this ice cream truck and he kidnaps kids to cut their fingers off to give them to his daughter cause he wants her to play piano.

I am not sure if this was A made for tv movie,I think it was.I seen it in the early 80's,there were these two girls about thirteen years old and they are convinced that this old woman in the woods is a witch. All through the movie they are trying to find proof because nobody beleives them, everybody thinks she is a sweet old lady.So unable to get the proof the one girl at the end decides she is going to go over to the old lady's house and have some chocalate cake,i think it was the girls birthday or something. The one girl is too scared to go in so she tells her she will wait outside for her, after trying to convince the one girl not to go in.Well it keeps getting later and later and the girl never comes out again.I remember through the movie you kinda felt sorry for the lady until the end.I think she poisoned the cake or did something because she never came back out again.Than the creepy music started. The one girl had blonde hair, the other that stayed outside had dark hair and wore glasses. The old woman had real white hair. I have had other people tell me they thought it was Watcher in the Woods. Its not,I actually own that movie. This show that I discribed was just real creepy.

this film was from when I was 8 or 9 years (I am 25) old so it was on TV in the 80s I am certain that it is a made for TV movie that they played on probably TBS around Halloween. The plot is a family of a mother father and at least one if not 2 kids (not sure of gender but I want to say a boy and girl) they move into what I remember being a castle, although it could have just been a really big brick house that has a huge yard. I don't remember much else except there is a bloodstain on the floor (I am pretty sure its on a wooden floor) that the mom cleans up over and over and it just keeps re-appearing. An old mans ghost comes in somewhere in all of this, but that is all I remember. Also I am pretty sure this movie is for kids. OH and this is a color movie!

Back in the early 1990's I was up late watching a movie in color on basic cable, and I dont remember the name of it. It started as a happy married family with a few children, the mother comes home from work one night and their all dead, they were stabbed to death with scissors {even her little children which were around 5} . well she eventually goes on with her life and remarried and had more children years later. Then again she comes home from work and they have all been murdered by scissors .again. I think the plot thickened and it was her new husband that had killed them all.

This is an older movie, late 70's or early 80s. It starts out with a family picking up a woman who is the new nanny. The couple have a daughter like eight years old I would guess. I just remmeber the nanny has this big evil book that shows her dancing with the devil, and I think later when the little girl sees it, it shows her dancing with the devil too. At the end, I think it shows another couple picking up the same psycho nanny and she asks that little girl the same question as she did the first. Something to the effect of "How old are you? 20? 25?"

After they are finished the girl takes a shower the guy stays on the bed. The guy is the first to die I dont't remember how, but the girl gets stabbed in the chest with a pitch fork in the shower. Thats where I ran out of the room. I also know that it was on cinemax, it was on after Superman 3.

Result: The Clairvoyant (1982) aka The Killing Hour Thanx VideoKid. Nov 2, 2008

I saw this movie likely on HBO in the Eighties, as far as I can recall; I watched it many times but simply cannot find it. I think it's from the same time period as "The Kirlian Witness", so it could be a Canadian film, as they were shown a lot in the late Seventies and into the Eighties. In an image several of us recall, a man is swimming in a pool, perhaps at night. When he is near the pool ladder, someone the viewer cannot see swims up to him and attaches a handcuff to his ankle then to the bottom rung so that he cannot surface. Of course, he drowns. The main character is an artist, who has been drawing images that come to her, including two arcs connected, with serrated images~which likely is intended to make the viewer remember the handcuffs but is revealed to be something else later (again, if I recall correctly). There is something about several men who have a woman~perhaps a prostitute~cuffed or tied to a bed and are torturing her by burning her with cigarettes. I recall this being an extremely uncomfortable scene to watch, as graphic scenes were not as common then. She dies, and they dispose of her body~I think. In one scene, possibly near the end of the film, the artist is lying down on a bed, recovering from one of her visions, or perhaps she has been drugged; she is at the home of a friend or acquaintance (played, I thought, by Keir Dullea). As she is lying there, she turns her head and sees a sculpture of frosted glass; it could be a stylized crab; the open pincher looks like the half-circles she has been drawing! She realizes that her friend(?) is one of the men who killed the woman. I don't recall the outcome, but I think perhaps he is chased to the roof of the building, where a man tries to "talk him down", assuring him that they will get help for him. Instead, he jumps. This is not "BrainWaves" (1983) or "Blind Date" (1984) as far as I can tell. I've read every review and summary, and they do not match though "BrainWaves" shares some details. I'm sure that someone would have mentioned the swimming pool scene, as it's the main one that several others and I recall the most about this elusive film. We all agree on some of the basics: swimming pool with handcuffs, artist's cryptic drawings, and woman with cigarette burns. One person thought it was a Seventies film, but the rest of us are drawn more to the early to mid-'80s. All of us have been searching for this film for the past several months~serious research, with dozens of keywords and phrases. Prior to this, I searched a number of volumes of "Screen world". I've tried various filmographies: Keir Dullea, Helen Shaver, Michael Sarrazin, Nick Mancuso, Jennifer Dale, and others who worked frequently back then.

it must have been been in the mid to late 80's that I saw it on T.V ( I was about 7 or 8 years old). It was a horror movie and all I really remember is a younger girl (teenager maybe?) falling down the stairs and breaking her neck. I'm not sure if she came back later or was haunting someone, but I think one of her friends (boyfriend?) saw her coming towards him and you could see that her neck was broken, and she was pale with dark circles under her eyes (i think). I also think she had straight, blonde hair. And for some reason, I remember her wearing yellow? (maybe?)

It was a movie from I believe the 80's and is in color. It opens with a huge rat that kills and eats a utility man that is fixing wires in a cellar of a house that is going up for sale. A family consisting of a husband, wife, little girl with curly dark hair & the family dog end up moving into this home. They start having what they believe is typical rat problems & the husband catches a rat in traps he sets. In comes this huge rat with red eyes that literally howls when it finds out it's "baby" is dead & starts preying on the little girl as revenge. The parents find the rat standing over the little girl's bed one night & the girl claims that it just wants it's dead baby back. The guy digs it out of the garbage & gives it back to the huge rat where the rat howls again but leaves. I know that somewhere in the move, the family dog gets torn up & the local vet tries to figure out what hurt the dog. The only other thing I can remember is that the rat tears up all the girl's stuffed animals except for the stuffed rat doll & the little girl has a big "dollhouse" playhouse in the backyard.

The movie that I'm looking for was definitly made before 1997 but could be as old as the early 80's. It is a period film, people were living in a small town/village in an open area next to the forest and wore bonnets and vests. The story was about these villagers that were afraid to go into the forest because no one would return from there. Mostly children went missing, but adults too. I believe a man went looking for his daughter and saw her face deep inside the tree. There were "people" of the forest that lived inside the tree trunks and camouflaged themselves to look like the bark and leaves and things. They would basically grab the villagers and force them into the tree with them and they could never get out again. It's in color, very eerie, and has a dark/ slow tone throughout the whole film.

The movie is probably from the 70's or 80's, though possibly its more recent than that (how's that for exact dates?). The only scene I can recall is a scene where someone is in a girl's bedroom and there is a lifelike rocking horse in the room. Something happens (like a magic spell or ghostly presence or demonic possession or something like that) and suddenly the horse is transformed into a very creepy looking undead zombie horse that is alive and I believe laughs at the person in the room. The entire set up reminds me of The Evil Dead 2 when everything comes to life and mocks Ash (like the animal head trophies and whatnot), but I'm almost certain that this is something different, and I will feel pretty foolish feeling if the rocking horse is from that movie as well!

Result: Omen Iv Thanx anon. Oct 8, 2008

I'm looking for a movie I saw as a kid back in the 80's on television. The movie was in color-about an evil little girl who had telepathic or telekenetic powers or something and made people do things to hurt themselves. I didn't see the end of it because I ran away scared. I remember the girl made a young boy climb a ladder by a barn and piss his pants, then a man said something to her she didn't like and when he drove away she made him drive into the back of a truck that had pipes or something sticking out the back that went through his skull. It's not village of the damned or the bad seed or Carrie. It was one little girl (dark hair i think) that was evil and had some kind of mind powers over people. Probably made in early 80's maybe late 70's, not sure.

Result: Kid Colter (1984) might be mixed with another movie, in that one i do not believe that his family goes off the cliff in a camper. So the main story is but the begining is something else. Thanx Midnight Creeper, anon. Sep 25, 2008

I'm trying to find an old movie that ran on HBO back in the early to mid 1980s. It involves a family that die by going off a cliff in a camper, and the boy (brown-headed) is left to fend for himself. I do NOT believe this movie to be THE EARTHLING with Ricky Schroder (I've seen that answered on here numerous times). There is a minor story-arc where the boy carries around that puzzle with the two horseshoes chained together (sort of like handcuffs) with a steel ring in between, and some bearded man tells the boy that the boy will become a "true warrior" or a "true man" or something if the boy can get the steel ring out from those two horseshoes. In the very end, the boy is laying down looking down over the cliff and the bad guy is grabbing and trying to keep from falling, and he grabs the horseshoe thing and he eventually falls off the cliff and the ring is removed. I hope I'm not combining two movies here.

I remember that it was about a little boy who finds a strange creature in his backyard. The creature is about 3 feet tall, and resembles a rat or mole, with reddish-brown hair. It walked on its hind legs, and was surprisingly kind of cute. It lived in a hole in the ground and the boy tries to hide him. They become good friends, and the creature takes him (and possibly a little girl friend of the boy's?) into his hole.

I believe this movie was around 1970 to 1980.? Possibly newer. All I can really remember is that there is an old house I believe and I think a grave yard. I think this was more like a horry comedy. But I remember there was possibly a hole in the wall or crawl space or room that might have gone somewhere else. There was an old man like a cowboy with pistols or a shotgon in it and they are trying to kill him but he was already dead? I think he came out of the wall. He seemed like he was dead and came back to life. I think I remeber birds in it and possible a crystal.?

I am looking for a film that i watched in the late 1990's early 2000''s. It is not an old film maybe 15 years tops, it's about a group of teenagers in high school, a brother and his sister who is kind of slutty, a blond girl and a goth/grundge boy they dont really know each other(except for the brother and sister of course) who all develope psycic powers because of crystals they find in the gorund, they become friends, i dont remember what they do with the powers but i know they get into trouble, i remember the sister has brown long hair and eats alot of red liqourice and goes off into the woods with the goth boy and sleeps with him just so that her brother gets the picture in his head. I also remember that they lose the powers eventually, maybe one or more of them dies but the sister is put into a mental institute with a shard of one of the crystals for a necklace, it starts glowing and the scene ends on her face. You automatically know that she's going to get her powers back.

She is introduced to his new love (wife? not sure)who looks latina (just to give you and idea) and younger than the dad. She is super hot and sexy. The daughter is suspiscious of her. Come to find out, the woman is a sort of witch and has cast a spell on her dad. I believe he has a cat or she does. I remember her shrinking someone. There is a gardener involved somewhere in the story. I also remember that the dad loves to watch gameshows all day. I think the "witch" smokes, could be wrong.

I'm sure there was an ocean, or large body of water. He happens upon a white horse (I think later it is revealed to be a unicorn, but I can't remember). He wants to keep it, but because he lives in an apartment he can't. For some reason, he travels or runs away.something like that, with the horse. This was a movie I saw in the late 50's or early 60's Pretty sure it was black and white. The starlette was a dark haired woman. It was about a woman who traveled to africa or some jungled area to find the secret of youth. She wore a ring that had a secret type compartment under the stone. The ring also had a point of some sort like a needle, that she would use to "jab" into the neck of a male "Victim". The fluid collected would then be drank to ensure her youthful beauty. At he end of the movie she is in an office space telling her story but she is old and wrinkled. without the flid she woud be an ugly old woman. I think she lived in the jungle in some elaborate tent. I watched a lot of tarzan type movies. It was during that era of the original tarzan, cheeta and jane movies.

I am looking for a film about an uncle who comes to America to stay with his estranged brother's son or daughter's family. The uncle's brother has previously died and was buried. The movie starts out in a samll village in Italy (Palermo, I think) In Italy the movie has subtitles. When the uncle arrives in America he is confused by the American way of life. He assumes the the family eats together in the evening. Instead the niece brings home Chinese food in cartons. It is just the two of them for dinner. When the Uncle mentions something about vino, the niece runs to the kitchen climbs up to the top of a cabinet and retrieves a box of wine which she blows the dust off of. The uncle is amazed that "vino" comes in a box. When the uncle goes to the supermarket, he tastes the fresh fruit as he would in an open market and is thrown out of the store.Eventually, the family, or at lease the family's mother and father, leave home for a time. The uncle turns the front lawn into a vegetable garden.I seem to be the only person who saw the color film at the theater a few years ago. I wish to get this movie for my son's in-laws who are from Italy and are very special people. Thank you for your help.

I have only vague recollections of this movie, since I saw it on TV when I was very young (this would have been the mid-70's). It had something to do with a bunch of young adults in this creepy shop. Somehow, during the course of the movie, they each become trapped in glass jars or vases on the shelves within the shop and were crying out to be released. That's all I remember, other than my grandmother coming in and turning it off before the end of the movie -- somehow not knowing the ending made it even more terrifying. I have an odd feeling that the (occult?) shop was located in San Francisco, but that may be a red herring.

There is someone possibly her sister that was causing the haunting and is killed and put into a pine box type coffin in the basement, she is believed to be dead, but she pushes the nails out of the coffin and escapes chasing the woman with blood running from her eyes. I always remembered the movie being called Hill House, but many searches have turned up nothing except the Vincent Price movie. I saw this movie about 3 years ago but it may have been older but not much. It wasnt a big budget movie but i think there may have been one or two decent names in there. It is about this hot-shot psychiatrist. He is a black dude. He is really cocky and thinks he's got it all figured out. He doesnt seem to have much compassion for his patients. He seems to run a mental hospital. Anyways this guy checks himself in( i think) one day and claims to be either Jesus or the devil, i cant remember. But the guy doesnt seem crazy. He is always very lucid and he challenges the doctor to prove him wrong or something to that effect. Strange things start happeneing to the doctor such as his things being moved around and he gets shitty with everybody about. He is real ass through the whole thing. Long story short, at the end you find out he's actually dead and was being tested to see where he would go. Well he went to hell and The devil guy is sitting in a throne i think and the camera pans away with the doctor saying over and over "im a good man".

Two guys in their late 20s to early 30s do some sort of freelance work that seems to be on the shady side (theft of some sort). At the beginning of the movie they are both dressed as Abraham Lincoln in order to pull of their current job, which is stealing the real Abraham Lincoln's top hat from a museum. The story begins when they are contacted for a new job. Later in the movie they are in a bordello populated by female vampires. There is a funny scene where they are getting ready to break in somewhere (dressing in black action gear), and the music that you think is background music promptly cuts off when one of the guys reaches over and stops the tape that has been playing on the nearby boombox.

It was around the time of the children's arts & crafts show 'Bitsa' - as I remember it was on either before or after it. It was set in England. There is a boy and a girl, maybe a brother and sister. They have these small spherical crystals which they have had to collect. When they put them in a machine with a huge clock face, I think it enables them to time-travel or something. There is also a mysterious adult man who is involved with the machine, he may be helping them or he may be a baddie. The mood is quite dark and adventurous, with alleyways, shady characters, disused buildings/factories etc. It may have a been a 2/3 part series. The title may have had the word 'Time' in it but i'm not sure.

It was about a caucasian female who went to work in some sort of psychiatric or mental health home or hospital. While there she discovered something was wrong and began questioning the patients. While trying to find out exactly what was going on with the care of the patients one of them got his tongue cut out for trying to talk about what was happening. The doctor's right hand female assistant and the doctor began to try and keep her locked into the facility, so she could not get out and tell what was going on. I've been thinking about this movie for such a long time. It had a dramatic tone (I remember it being dark). There was a young girl being sent to live with a very strict caretaker (possibly a grandmother or aunt). She didn't have any friends and I somehow remember her sweing eyes on a sock to make herself her only friend. I think her caretaker took it away from her at some point in a dramatic scene. I believe the young girl was upset one night and attempted to burn her arm with a match. This must have been a serious late 70's or 80's movie. I saw this movie on TV. Possibly made for TV drama? It was in color. I don't want to give misinformation, but I remember that a character's name may have beem Cookie or Coco.

I was wondering about a movie I saw mid-eighties to nineties in which a couple somehow became stranded on an island. The woman ends up falling for a man on the island and the man (I think he played on the tv show 'perfect strangers') ends up falling for a native woman who shows up on the island topless?

I am wondering about a film which I saw mid-late eighties. The basic plot was a girl/woman was the only one who could see this ghost of a man. There was a scene in which she was in the bathroom and he could/did look through the wall at her? I don't think this is the same movie with Sarah Jessica Parker. They end up falling in love and I'm not sure, but I think somehow the male ghost is able to stay with the girl?
