I've been trying to think of a movie I saw in the early 90's on tv. It was either on TCM or AMC. The movie itself was very old, probably from the 40's, but it was in color and was American made. I don't know the names of the actors or actresses in it. From what i remember, a man meets a family who has two sisters. The man might have moved next door to them, but met them somehow. The man ends up falling for the younger sister, but I think the mother wants him to marry the older sister. For some reson he leaves I think he might have been in the navy or a merchant marine or something but he goes to Indonesia or China or something and writes a letter to the younger sister telling her he wants to marry her. The mother gets the letter first and reads it and does not want this to happen so she says the man wants to marry the older sister. The younger one is very upset about this. I remember she decides to become a nun and leaves. When the man returns he goes to the sisters house and is confused when he finds the older waiting to marry him. He can't remember which sister he asked to marry be cause he was drunk or took some drug while he wrote the letter, but was pretty certain he asked the younger. He leaves to find her, I remember at the end he finds the younger sister just before she will take her vows to become a nun. I remember the church or wherever to be on top of a very high mountain or cliff. I don't think they ended up getting married.

Men are moving truckloads of 'sweaty' gelignite , I think over the Italian Alps. At one stage they are on a very rough road and have to stay above 30mph to prevent the vibrations from setting off the explosives. One truck is having mechanical problems... This was a black and white film. I saw it on TV in the early 1990s, but my Dad saw it in the movies probably in the 1950s. It was foreign language, possibly Italian, subtitled.

A TV Movie, possibly watched on Lifetime channel... Mid 90's, and though I'm not entirely sure of the title I have "Falling Butterfly" or "Fallen Butterfly" firmly cemented in my brain. It's about a mother being haunted by the ghost of her murdered daughter. The pivotal scene is one where the daughter takes the mother by the hand and drags her to the lake/pond where she had been drowned... The mother is giddy with happiness at seeing her daughter and she looks seriously unhinged from an outside perspective, but she dives into the water and comes up with a watch. A watch that has some of her deceased daughter's hair wrapped around it. Also some sort of distinguishing design which is what her daughter was talking about when she referred to it as a "fallen butterfly" (or whatever) Turns out, the mother's husband (the girl's stepfather) murdered her. And the very last scene is INCREDIBLY creepy, where the ghost of the daughter is giggling while a necklace (perhaps a crucifix, but either way it was pretty long) tightens itself around the stepfather's neck.

I saw this movie on tv around 1994 or 1995. It was in color, and probably set in the 50s or 60s and in English. It was about a teenaged girl, who I believe looked a lot like the actress Megan Cavanagh. This girl had visions of these small toy clay soldiers coming to life and fighting. I remember one soldier used his sword to cut another soldier in half. The only other scene I can remember is the girl let a boy sleep in her bed, and her father saw this and freaked out and accused his daughter of being a whore, even though they were not doing anything. I also remember the girl later on having sex with the boy, since her father believed they were anyway, and she pushed him off of her.

I'm looking for a children's movie I saw on TV in late 80's, early 90's about a little girl who crosses over into a mirror in her room and meets several characters aloong the way. I only rememeber a bookworm for sure, but she ends up at a castle where there is an evil witch. I'm not sure but I think she's trying to obtain a key from the witch. At the end she crosses back over into her bedroom from the mirror and goes into the kitchen to have breakfast with her parents. It's a children's movie and is in color. It is not any of the classics. I would appreciate any correspondences that may help.

this is a french or russian or foriegn movie anyway, its color, probably '90's and I saw it on sbs tv in australia which has a lot of foreign films. I have no idea of the actors names - the plot that I remember was that there was a possible ex con or ex navy seal or something like that and he has been allocated to protect the teenage daughter of some rich guy. The couple eventually fall in love - and the scene I remember most vividly is the final one where they are running up a laneway and someone is shooting at them, they hit the girl and he thinks shes been killed but shes wearing a bullet proof vest so she wakes up and then the movie finishes. I think the main guy is some famous french actor like bruno gant or something.

I can't remember the title of this old black and white movie (probably 40's or 50's,could be British, but I think American is more likely) I remember watching it when I was a kid (80's) on a classics channel. Basically there's a little girl who goes exploring outside her home in the middle of winter. She crosses an icy bridge, I think. The girl befriends a beautiful woman who lives in a nearby house. The woman is very mysterious and often wears a black cape. In the end the mysterious woman turns out to be the girl's dead mother. The bridge is a recurring theme in the movie. I think maybe the mother may have died on it in a car accident or suicide?

This is an english or american movie that probably have been produced in the eighties. The movie starts with a group of friends (2 girls and 3 men) who must do an emergency landing with a seaplane. They land at an island somewhere, and they decide to explore the whole island. One boy stays to watch over the seaplane, while four of them starts walking. Finally they come to a house with a father, mother, two sons and a daughter. The daughter of the house is a grown up woman who lives in the basement with all of her dolls and puppets. The two sons are also grown ups, but both them and their sister acts like if they were just kids. Their parents, who are around 60 of age, are strongly religious in some kind of way. They live there a couple of days, when strange things begin to happen. The "children" starts to murder their new guests one by one. One fall of a swing from a mountain, and one of the girls gets beaten to death. Two of them runs back to the seaplane, but finds the camp deserted. The seaplane is also gone. In the end one of the girls start acting like the daughter of the house and in the end kills the whole family with a shotgun. The movie ends with her sitting in the basement and playing with the dolls.

A black goo is in the ground and also takes over some of the people making them attack. The detectives have a RV in the middle of the street that acts as their base. The town is mostly abandoned. At the end of the movie, the large black goo forms together and comes out of the ground to attack the people who r tryin to solve what was going on.

The section that I remember involves a man living in a house and hears some music coming from somewhere inside the house. He follows the music and finds a secret passageway that is revealed by opening a panel and crawling through an area (and maybe opening other panels). This passageway leads to an area that looks down at a large room (like another house hidden within his house). He notices an old man in a wheelchair, and the old man starts to wheel off into another room. This guy descends down a flight of stairs, and then follows the old man into another room. This room has all sorts of equipment (maybe even some kind of lab). The part that stuck out was that this old man had to hook himself up to some device in order to be able to speak (like a computer). The old man says something to this guy about knowing that this guy would eventually figure out about this room. I don't recall the conversation much after that, but I recall the old man dying somehow - perhaps this guy kills the old man in the wheelchair after he says something to him. I saw this on TV as I recall, and I am pretty sure it's in color. I would guess that this film was made in the 60s-70s.
Result: Bad Ronald (1974) (TV) starring Scott Jacoby. Thanx Alli, Marphisa.
I saw this color film on TV, back in the eighties, but the film looks like it was made in the late 70's. It's about this young teen boy who kills a little boy, who is making fun of him, then bikes back home to tell his mother. His mother hides him in a secret space behind the kitchen pantry. Then his older looking mom dies and the boy is left hiding in the walls of the home. The house is put up for sale and a new family moves in - of course, they don't know that a young, crazy boy is hiding in the walls. He becomes obsessed with the two blonde teenage daughters in the family. During the film, I know he hits the oldest girl's boyfriend in the head. He also draws a larger than life picture of the younger girl behind her bedroom door. I know that the younger daughter runs next door and hides in the basement of that house when the boy reveals himself to her. I remember that the crazy boy comes through the wall in the climax, but don't remember the ending, except that the girls are ok at the end.
Result: Encounter With The Unknown (1975) . Thanx Sunny.
This was a 3 story movie that I saw in the late 70's. The 1st story was a son was killed in a sky diving accident, and the mother of the deceased put a spell on the others. She said something like: "One by land, two by sea, seven times round go the 3 of you and may your reward be just and true".
The first story is told by a young man on an airplane to a priest. It turns out the young man with a group of friends accidentally killed a younger boy and his mother (at her son's funeral) tells them their prophecy
The second story was about a girl on a lonely road at night that needed a ride home and was picked up by a passing car. Upon arriving at the home, she was gone. The driver went to the door and explained what had happened, and the father said that their daughter had died on this same night several years ago.
The final story dealt with a hole that was in the woods on the outskirts of a small village. Noises had been heard coming from the hole, and a lost dog was thought to have fallen in it. The townsfolk lowered one man down in the hole and after the rope jerked, they brought him up quickly only to have him immediately go insane from whatever he saw. The movie ended with the insane man's son chasing him through the woods as he ran away screaming. I have no idea who was in the trilogy or any part of the title.

It was probably from the late 70's, or early 80's. I believe it was in color, but most of the scenes were at night. It was about a little boy's teddy bear that was possessed or something, and it killed several people. The bears eyes would glow and it carried a knife I believe. I can't remember anything else, hence the reason for wondering why I was so afraid as a child.

His baseball playing buddies show up as ghosts and steer the investigators to the site where they find the life raft, and thus the survivor's guilt is discovered.

I remember seeing this movie (I think on TV) as a little girl around 1975-76. I remember it took place during the late 1800's and was about a family's journey/struggle through a snowstorm. I believe they befriended some Indians who helped them. The end showed them (those family members who were able to survive the journey) having found their home (or someone's home) - a log cabin. I think it was based on a true story--though not sure.

It was a color horror film from the 80's or early 90's, some teenagers were at some house or something that was haunted. I vaguely remember something with hooves, like a demon or ghost or something kept in a celler. There was a scene with some teenagers about to have sex or something and I remember a head rolling on the floor that had been cut off. For some reason, I want to say the movie was called "the thing" or something along those lines, but I cant find anything with that name. I was just a kid and the person babysitting me rented that movie to watch and it scared the crap out of me, now I want to watch it again to see if it was really that scary

This film has been haunting me for a long time now. It has hit that stage where I can't remember if it was a movie or a dream. I believe it starts with a boy sleeping in his bed, then the wall seems to retract into the darkness and i think he follows a stranger or gets kidnapped into a strange land. There he goes through weird lands and I recall something to do with a "maker" or god-like person, fastforward to the end of the movie where hes in the dessert and gets frustrated and throws a skull at someones head, the person ducks and it ends up crashing through a pane of glass and then they go to some castle or fortress. there is a maze inside and his parents are in a cage above. Something happens, he wakes up to find there are firefighters in his home and there is smoke. They find out that the source of the smoke is a small (green maybe?) rock in a toaster that he tells his parents not to touch, but they do anyway and they disappear, it then ends with him walking away from the house and down the street. I want to date it in the 80s just based upon when i would have seen it. as well it is definitly a kids movie, and it seems to me like a cross between Flight of the Navigator and the Never Ending Story.

I saw this movie on tv possibly 10 or so years ago (not certain). I cannot remember specific actors. In the beginning of the movie a family is run off the road in a desert area. The father is trapped in the car and the family watches him burn to death. There was a gang, staying in a desert hideout. One of them, probably the leader had a mentally challenged brother or friend who he always asked to solve math problems. He would always say that the answer was right, but it really wasn't. There were hostages, perhaps the family mentioned above.

I'm looking for a zombie film probably from the 80s. A girl who is around 16 dies but comes back to life. There's a party (I think a Halloween party) and the zombies are mistaken for guests in costume.
Result: You'll Like My Mother (1972) with Patty Duke and Richard Thomas. Thanx Alli.
OK, I think this film is from the early 70's. It was color, and set I think in the southwest or other barren-type place. I believe I saw it as a late, late movie on a local tv station back in the eighties. I have no idea who was in this movie, but it seems like it was Richard Thomas (definitely possible that's completely wrong!). Anyway, the basic plot is some guy hooks up with a girl and they end up in what may have been a diner or restaurant in the desert or other isolated place. His car may have broken down, which is why he couldn't leave. It seems the family of the girl also lived there, so maybe it was just a house. The psycho mom is convinced that the guy is her son, who is apparently dead, but the guy doesn't realize the son is dead or he's being tricked about that fact. It's all very nutty -- the guy is getting hot and heavy with the girl, but they have to hide it because the mom of course thinks they're brother and sister. The big ending involved him finding the son's body hidden in a locked room or container or who knows what and then escaping the nuttiness. I know that isn't much to work with, but I've thought of that film several times over the years and I've never had any luck figuring out what it is. Any one (or more) of these memory fragments may be wrong, but that's what 15 to 20 years will do to you.

I saw this movie when I was a little girl well over 10 - 15 years ago. I don't remember much, however I am pretty sure it's a horror film. Something about a little boy and girl - maybe brother or sister and they go on a camping trip or summer camp. Seems like I remember someone is killing people. Towards the end of the movie - seems like I remember a twist where the little girl turns out to be a litte boy or something like that.

It is about a man who makes a call in a public telephone box : the door gets jammed, some maintenance men come to open it but can't, and he ends up getting carted away on the back of a truck. The truck takes him on quite along journey to a large warehouse. ......the warehouse is full of hundreds/thousands of telephone boxes all suspended from the ceiling of the warehouse and all filled with (dead) people......the film ends. I saw this horror movie about 12 years ago on HBO around midnight or so. I believe there were two adults-one male and female-who were abusing a couple of children in their house. There is one scene where one little blonde girl gets her white dress dirty somehow and the mom makes her take a bath in this scalding hot tub where there's even steam coming off it, and she cleans the poor child raw/pink. Then there's another scene where a young boy somehow gets inside the walls of the house and is being chased by this tiny brown dog--maybe a brown rotweiller. The man sticks some long spear or sharp object through the wall (with the intention of killing the boy), pulls it back out, and it's bloody. Actually, this man killed the mean tiny brown dog chasing the boy. Another scene is where somehow the police are called to this house. They come and insist on looking around. They find one of the girl's rooms. The room is messy, as it had been lived in, and the woman lies to t! he police saying that this was the room of her dead daughter, and that she didn't have the heart to touch or straighten up after her daughter had died. Also, there is a white dollhouse in the room. This movie was in color. I hope you can help, and that this is enough. These are all the scenes I can remember, but I still remember them vividly.

Okay, This movie may have came out in the 1990's. Its a horror movie. I don't know the exact year or who acted in it but i can describe some scenes that i'm pretty sure everyone remembers. The movie has something to do with halloween. These teenagers are in a house that is haunted. One scene shows a boy and a girl about to make out and then the girl turns into a zombie and gouges his eyes out. Another scene shows a black guy and a white girl trying to get away from these zombies by climbing a wall but they have to use a barb-wire and they cut their hands as they climb up. The very last scene shows a lady giving her husband some pie and his throat explodes. I remember more scenes but i can't put a name to this movie. Please help. Its in color

I saw this movie perhaps a year ago, it may have been a Hallmark movie. It centered around an black Aboriginal girl who ends up getting pregnant, her family and townspeople. The elder women in the film play cards and smoke, while the girl chides them for smoking all through the film. Many of the men are unemployed and are harrassed by the elder women for being unemployed migrant workers. The girl's father is a deadbeat. Many of the houses in the small town look like governmant military cinderblock houses here in the US and are decorated in 70s fashion. I don't believe there was any more plot than the girl finding herself and reason for women to succeed....maybe she wanted to go to college.

There is a good chance that this movie was a made for TV movie, I'm not sure. The movie was shown in the 80's. It was about a mentally retarded woman who was fighting the state to try to win custody of her son who was about 6-8 years old. The one thing that I always remember about this movie is at some point after they award custody to this woman, she and the boy were in a grocery store and she just started opening a package of Oreo cookies and eating them. It was the little boy who told her that she was not allowed to eat things before she bought them. I want to say for some reason that the actress that plays the main part either was or looked somewhat like Meredith Baxter-Birney who also acts in another movie about a retarded woman named Winnie that took place in the 80's.
Result: After Midnight (1989) . Thanx Marphisa.
I rented this movie in the late 80's or early 90's. It was color. In the US. It was a horror/suspense. It had four short stories in it. One was about a college professor who pretended to shoot himself in the head in front of his students to teach them a lesson about fear. Another was about a woman in a hotel that kept getting obscene calls from a man who she later found out was making the calls from inside of her room. Another was about a pack of dogs chasing a guy in a bad neighborhood. The last one was about a couple who were on their way to a party when they got a flat tire on a deserted coastal road. The only house they could find seemed haunted, but it was actually a set up from the husband to suprise the wife. But by the time she figured it out, she killed him because he was dressed up in a scary costume. There may have been more stories, but I don't remember them. I also believe the title was something like 4 past midnight. But of course that's Stephen Kings novel. But I do think it was something like that.

I am looking for a TV movie I saw late, late one night sometime between 1995 - 1997. It looked to be an American-made movie from the 70's, in color. The film takes place in the 70's. I remember a young couple were camping when they are attacked by a rough-looking character, possible a mountainman/redneck. The boyfriend is killed and the young women is abducted. While they are travelling, she is continually raped and beaten until finally she becomes brainwashed and goes to him willingly. That's as far as I got with the movie as I found this young women's decline too traumatic to bear and had to turn it off. Still, after ten years the movie still haunts me.

The step-mom and her daughter (the step-sister) were really rich and snobby and treated the girl badly. The step-mom and step-sister had blonde hair I think and the girl had brown hair. Anyway, she wanted to leave and she hid in her older step-brother's truck. Somehow they ended up at a camp or something. Then the whole family showed up: the girls real mom and dad, the moms new husband, the dad's new wife, and the step-mom and dad from the beginning. Possibly the mom and dad ended up getting back together.
Result: Meridian (1990) aka Kiss of the Beast starring Sherilyn Fenn. Thanx Marphisa.
i saw this on hbo possibly late eighties. the movie was about two (twin?) brothers that travelled with a circus troup. there was a curse that turned one of them into a beast. two beautiful brunettes were drugged at a banquet in some sort of castle or mansion. while being taken sexually by the brothers, one of them transforms into his beast form. there is a side story about a painting that is being restored, eventually giving clues as to how to end the curse. in the end, the "beast" is killed, but it is not the physical monster, but the evil, human-looking brother that is shot, possibly with an arrow or crossbow.

I saw this animated film in the mid 1980's on televison, say about 85 to 88. Not sure whether it was manga or a US animation. I think it was set in space on a space station. It centered on an old man in a coma but it would cut to a little boy who represented the man in his younger years. The boy adventured through different landscapes, encountered various characters in the man's subconcious but the old man died and therefore so did the boy, or was it vice versa? I remember the boy got trapped in some vine like creeping branches and that he had a pet animal that traveled with him who got trapped too. The body of the old man was shot into space by the characters that surrounded the old man as he lay unconsious on the bed. This film stuck with me as a child because of the death of the main character in this animated story.
Result: The Leech Woman (1960) . Thanx Me.
an old horror movie that I saw when I was a kid probably around 1971 but it was a black and white movie. It was about a woman that would stab people in the back with a ring, and what ever she got out of their back she would mix in some kind of powder and drink it to keep from growing old.
Result: Buster And Billie (1974) . Thanx Marphisa.
this was a 1970's B-movie that played at a drive-in with 'The Town that Dreaded Sundown'. It was about a group of high school age guys that invite another to go a house out in the woods for some easy action from a girl who lives with her mother. They ask the girl's mother if the girl is available for a 'date', go out in the woods and take their turn. After a while one guy falls in love with the girl, the girl stops messing around. The other guys aren't happy about that. They end up killing the girl. The boyfriend kills the guys. I think everyone dies in the end. I remember one scene where one of the guys was killed with a billiard ball, cue stick or something like that where he confronts several of them while playing pool.

Result: Savage Harvest (1981). Thanx Marphisa.
This movie was from the 70's. It was a made for T.V. movie. I believe it was one of those late afternoon movies on ABC. This movie scared me. It was about a family that lives in Africa or somewhere lions roam freely. Their house becomes surrounded by lions. And the family tries to protect themselves from the lions by boarding their windows and doors up. The family is trapped in the house. Could you please help me with the name of this movie? I am hoping that if you can find the name of it, that it's even available on DVD or VHS.
Result: All The Kind Strangers (1974) (TV) starring Stacy Keach. Thanx Will, Marphisa.
I remember seeing suspense/thriller this in the late 70's - early 80's when I was very young re-run on cable TV. It was in color, and was probably made and set in the 70's. I think that the basic premise is that there was this guy traveling through a small town and his car breaks down. I think he somehow ends up staying at some run-down house in the country with a woman whom he meets. There are some mischievous kinds hanging around; the only scene I remember concretely is that these kids take him fishing or something in this lake/pond behind the house and there are cars at the bottom of the pond which the kids stole and drove into the lake in order to strand and terrorize the people who ended up staying at their house. I can't recall what kind of ending it had. It was probably a pretty awful second-rate film, but I'd be interested in checking it out again as its one of my earliest movie memories.
Result: Embryo (1976) starring Rock Hudson. Thanx Will, Marphisa.
I saw this film well over 10 years ago. I saw it on television - not sure if it was at the movies. I don't remember much, but it's about a doctor that i think experiments with a test tube and conceives a fetus. The fetus however grows at a very rapid pace - growing to a little girl, then a teenager - then to a woman. At some point the doctor falls in love with the woman. I think she then escapes but continues to age at a rapid pace.
Result: Bad Company Thanx Dean.
Another western, probably from the 70s. I think it may have been about Billy the Kid. All I really remember is a young lad, maybe 10 or 11 years old, stealing a pie from a window ledge of a hous in the middle of the prairie. The owner sees him and fetches his gun and shoots the boy in the head as he runs away
Result: Custer Of The West Thanx Dean.
This film is a western, maybe 1950s or 60s in colour. The only thing I can remember about it is a man being chased by some others and he jumps into a log flume. There follows a sequence of a few minutes as the camera tracks with him as he slides down the flume to escape his pursuers.
Result: Commandments (1997) . Thanx Marphisa.
I'd guess this was made early to mid 90s, and it's about a guy who God is putting through quite an ordeal. I think this guys wife/girlfriend died, and he was so pissed off he like challenged God or something like that, and ever since, God is making this guy's life hell in various ways (small and big). I remember, for example, one scene when he says that every time he tries to tie his shoes the shoe laces break. It ends, I think, with some big death/resurrection scene at a lighthouse. The movie wasn't all that good, but it definitely had it's moments, and it's driving me and my friend crazy that none of us can remember anything substantial enough to track this movie down on the Internet.
Result: Grand Tour: Disaster In Time (1992) (TV) starring Jeff Daniels.(it was a horse they hit and the hooves crashed through the window, killing his wife). Thanx Patricia, Marphisa, Jade.
A film with someone like Bill Pullman or Bill Paxman or Jeff Daniels (I get them muddled) Who ever it is plays a man who crashes his car in a snow strom into a horse (or raindeer) it kicks madly and kills his wife. He panics and runs away. Later, with his young daughter, he opens a rundown hotel which he is doing up but keeps having flash backs and broods alot. Some of it is seen from the daughters point of view. Actually it's better than it sounds. I think it is from the mid to late 90's.
Result: 3615 Code Pere Noel (1990) aka Dial Code Santa Claus. It's a French film. Thanx Mini Me.
looking for a film which I saw on TV late '80s, early '90s and it could be anything up to 10 years older than that. I¥m pretty certain it was originally in French (saw a dubbed version), making it Canadian or French. It's set around christmas time, in a remote (farm?) house. A young boy discovers a man in the barn (I think), and it soon becomes clear that the man is a killer who will kill the boy and his family to keep them from calling the police. The boys family is no help, as they don't listen to the boy and - again, if I remember correctly - actually leave the boy alone to go shopping. What follows is a life and death battle between the boy and the man, who at one point puts on a Father Christmas cap. The film is NOT "Silent Night, Deadly Night", it is by far better and it has the feel of a very dark version of "Home Alone". I remember especially the amazing imagery, the boy in the snow, and a very real feeling of dread.
Result: The Other (1972) starring Uta Hagen and real-life twins Chris and Martin Udvarnoky. The tag line for this film was "Holland, where is the baby?". Thanx Evelyn, Will, Marphisa, Alli.
Family lives on a farm .One young boy coming to terms with the death of his identical twin. Died by falling down a well.Boy sees dead twin all the time. Dead twin is still stronger character and makes boy kill. Kills a baby and puts it in a barrell of water after seeing bottled baby foetus at a circus. Russian grandmother or aunty or family friend calls boy "tooshka" and has gift of foresight and can travel by seeing all through the eyes of a flying black bird. She becomes protective of him..... I think this movie must be 30 years old
Result: The Quiet Earth (1985) . Thanx Will, Marphisa.
Note:The contributors both feel like you may be combining two movies
He/she is probably combining The Quiet Earth(1985) with Night of the Comet(1984). I had thought of The Quiet Earth when I read it as well, but that one doesn't have zombies. Night of the Comet does, however.
I saw the movie probley in 98 or so. The movie looked to be made in late 80's early 90's. All I remember is that I believe some kind of scientific experement made everyone dissappear off earth or somthing except for a few people. This guy woke up and they were gone. I believe there were also zombie's or zombie type creatures in the movie that the remaining people on earth fought against. The only other key thing I remember is that in the end for some reason or another the guy had to ram his car into some kind of machine which was responsible for the experement. So he killed himself ramming that machine and then everything went back to normal the way it was before everyone dissappeared. Dunno, I only have vauge memories but i've been looking for this forever, any help is appreciated.
Result: Saturn 3 starring blonde actress Farah Fawcett, Kirk Douglas, and Harvey Keitel. Thanx Evelyn.
This movie was made, I believe, between about '67 to '72. It was in color. I don't think it was American, so from Europe most likley. I was in Montreal at the time, so it wasn't unusual to see european films on TV. I saw it on TV in the mid to late seventies. It takes place on another planet and much of the story takes place around, and nearby, the outside of the spaceship. I belive a blond woman is a/the lead character. There aren't many characters, as I recall. A small cast. There is also an android/robot (looks close to human) that comes in and out of the flying saucer/spaceship several times. I think that later on in the movie, you get to see inside the spaceship and realize that it's not just one android, there are several who all look alike. They are standing against the circular wall inside the spaceship, spread-out, maybe each is standing in a pod that they can step out of?? As you can see, I don't really remember much/any of the plot. I was maybe 5 or 6 years old when I saw it on tv. If I remember correctly you couldn't see the androids' eyes. They either had a band over them or goggles, I think. The surface of the planet was kind of like a moonscape. Somehow I don't think the sky was black, though - more like a blue. That's all I can think of. I almost feel like seeing a hypnotist to find out more about the movie so I could find it again and see it!

1970's film, I think. World is running out of gas. Race car drive disassembles his car, and stores in his garage. After several years it is believed that there is no gas shortage. If you can answer this one I will kiss you! I saw a movie that took place some time in the mid to late 70s, in the U.S.. It started with two girls going to a concert. I believe that they lied to their parents about where they were going, but cannot be sure. Anyway, they go looking to score some drugs before they go, and a couple of guys pull up in a van and say they have some back at their house. The girls go back with them to their house, and find another man and a woman there. At first they think everything is fine and dandy but eventually they end up being their hostages. At one point they take the two girls out to the woods, make them kiss each other, and then make one pee her pants. The girls keep trying to get away to no avail. The parents begin looking for the girls, and there are flashes between the forest scene and the scene of parents and detectives at one of the houses. All this time, no one knows, but the girls are actually in a forest that is close to the backyard of the parents. I thought it was called The House at the End of the Street, but that is another movie entirely. This movie scared the living daylights out of me, and I was 20 years old when I saw it!

Result: From Hell It Came (1957) starring Tod Andrews and
Tina Carver. The walking tree monster was called Tobanga. Thanx Evelyn, Marphisa, Runninrabbit.I am trying to recall the name of a horror film that I saw more than once on television in the late early sixties. It was probably made in the 1950's and I only saw it in black and white. Neither I nor my friends can remember the name of this film or anyone who was in it - it was surely a "B" movie at best. It was memorable to us because the monster was this mobile tree trunk creature - it was created when some tribesman (on an island setting??) was condemned for some reason to be killed by being placed inside a hollow tree and had (I believe) a stake hammered into his chest/heart but the stake did not go deep enough to kill him. Anyway years later some white people (naturally) are on the island and this monster begins terrorizing them etc. It is finally killed when some sharp shooter hits the stake and drives it further into the creatures heart.

I am looking for the Walt Disney film where Walt explains the game of pool. I have no idea how old it is, however, I remember seeing it first when I was a child... in the 70's. It is fantastic animation and goes into great detail about the geometry involved in getting the balls into the pockets.

The time period was 1976-79. I remember seeing a tv movie about two kids (girl and boy) they were walking a a garbage dump and found a box that was making noise. When they opened the box that found a human, male head. The messed up thing was that the head was alive and started talking to them. So the story unfolds about how the kids take the head home and become friends with it. That is all I can remember.

I remember somtime around 1978 or 1979, previews for a movie that I saw on TV was coming out in theaters. It was really scary and I only seen it that one time. I remember puppets that were coming to life and killing people. I think the word RED was in the title but can't remember anything else. I also remember a red curtain with a live puppet standing next to it. I know thats not a lot to go on but that is all I remember. I have never found the movie anywhere. It was the late 70's for sure around the time "Magic" came out.

I am trying to find the title of a movie that I think was in the theaters in around 2001-2003. I saw the previews but never got to go to the movie. I forgot the title of it and have been searching ever since to be able to either rent or purchase the movie. I think it might have been set in the 60's and perhaps even in the south. It was about an upper middle class couple, the husband was having an affair with another man and I believe the wife might have caught them at the husbands work or office. She then turned for solice and comfort to the gardner that happened to be black. Any help you can give me in locating this movie title would be appreciate.

I'm looking for an older movie, I believe in black and white, possibly staring Doris Day. The wife finds a dog training manual and uses the methods to "train" her husband. I saw it on tv around 1992. I remember the cover of the manual-a very simplistic drawing of a dog.

I remember is the last shot of a B/W movie that I saw on TV around 1960 [probably late 40's early 50's Film Noir], of an illicit couple preparing to drive off in a convertible having apparently got away with murder, but the man puts the car in reverse by mistake and they plunge backwards off a cliff...... Cue music... fade out..
Result: Tales Of The Unexpected: Final Chapter It wasn't the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits after all. It was an 8 part series, full title Quinn Martin's Tales of the Unexpected The show dates from 1977 and lasted only 1 series. It's never been released on video and it was actually in colour. Thanx poster.
Note: The film being requested is an episode of either The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. I remember seeing it around 1979. It's black and white and the whole premise is the reporter really finding out about the fear of dying on Death Row.
a movie which I thought was Beyond A Reasonable Doubt, but now I have seen that, it is only similar. A reporter goes into prison to see what it is like on death row. The Governor is the only one who knows he is not guilty of anything but the Governor dies - only he doesn't really. They eventually put the reporter in the electric chair with a sack over his head, and at the last minute remove the sack and ask him what it felt like to really believe he was going to die - only to discover he had died of fright. It was a black and white movie.

a movie I watched on TV about 5 years ago (1999) although I think it was made in the 1970's or 1980's. The only bit I can remember is there was a group of men and women who manage to land an airplane (don't recall what happened to the pilot) either at an airport or airbase. The go into the cafe but it is deserted and the food is like dust. I think the ending was them discovering it was an Army experiment - or something. Sorry it is not much to go on, but it is driving me mad

I remember watching this movie in the early 80's as it was shown at elementary school assemblies. Color, live action. Basic plot, I believe was a brother and sister are at home at late afternoon or night -- it is pouring rain outside and the sister forgets that she left something very important at school, so she and her brother go to the school to get it and discover that their young dark haired teacher is a (nice) witch who takes them with her on an adventure. I think that is how it happened, but possibly they are playing in their room when the teacher comes and knocks on the window and takes them on an adventure. Not Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
Result: Mad Love starring Peter Lorre or Dr. Terror's House of Horrors starring Peter Cushing. Thanx Dean.
This movie is about a severed hand that crawls around killing people. At one point, it is in a jail or dungeon, and the men jailed there are terrified. At one point, it is shown strangling one of them. Although it seems to be able to get away, it does not run fast like Thing from the Addams Family. At the end, it is crawling very very slowly across the floor, and a man purs something from a bottle on it. It reacts like acid was poured on it, with sizzling and smoking. But it still continues to try to slowly inch forward. I think some of the skin peels away on it. Also, I think it had bandages on it like a mummy's hand. Could have been anywhere from 1930's to the late 60's. Since we had a black and white TV(around 1974), I am not sure if it was in color. That is really adding to my confusion.
No it's not The Mummy's Hand, The Beast With Five Fingers, The Hands of Orlac, The Creeping Hand, The Crawling Hand, The Hand, or any other hand movie I have found. There is only one movie that sounded like it was the one, which was a silent film from the 20's called The Wraith Of The Tomb. I doubt that is it, because that one is not even available for viewing.

This was a French black and white film set in a post apocalyptic era. As I recall the beginning of the film follows one character journey through the landscape - the cast is limited and dialogue minimal. All I can really recall is a scene where the main character takes shelter in an apartment and is safe until he is discovered by some ruthless survivors. The scene shows the thugs breaking into the apartment and at the moment, the main character escapes in an aeroplane he had been building. I don't think the film is 'le dernier combat' by besson but I may be wrong. I appreciate there is not much to go on but anything that can be achieved would be greatly received. I think I saw this film late one night on Channel 4 but it was still probably some time in the 80's.
Result: La Cabina (1972) (TV) Thanx Patricia, Marphisa.
Viewed in either the late 70's or more likely the early / mid 80's, the film is either french or possibly Italian and was set in a phone booth. It was bit of a black comedy where a gentleman was making a call when a 'disposal' van came along, picked the booth up with the man still inside with the aim of taking the booth to the 'telephone booth' morgue. The film was probably only 30/40 minutes long and followed the journey of the man trying to break free. In the end the man was dumped in a massive warehouse full of telephone booths. I distinctly remember the skeletal image of a recent victim shown, indicating the abducted caller's fate. I think it may have been filmed in black and white.

This was a 1970's TV movie about a poor little boy who was abused by his family, as well as other neighborhood children. I think it was set in the slums of a city. The boy was neglected and abused, and befriended by the ghost of a little girl (I think). I remember scenes in woods or an abandoned building where he and the ghost child would play together. I think that he ended up getting hurt and dies. The children were horrible to him and his parent/s(?) didn't seem to care about him at all. Only this little girl ghost likes him and becomes his only friend. This movie had a great impact on me as a child b/c it was so sad. I think that at the end the boy gets hit by a car and dies. He runs into the street and is hit by a car. He also might have gone to a school where he wore a uniform, but I might be way off there.

Colour film - seen on Sky in the daytime. About 7 or 8 years ago and all I remember is a guy running late for rowing training - he gets in the rowing boat with the team of rowers and they start rowing and one of the rowers drops his oar - (this then happens really quickly) - someone takes control of the situation and the guy who dropped the oar jumps out and they carry on training? This was at the very start of the movie.

I'm looking for a film which was shown when BBC2 on a Saturday night would show a horror movie (best idea of time frame I can give!!!). Roger Corman and Vincent price type stuff. One film however made a particular impression and could be Spanish - dubbed to English? In Black and White - featuring a woman (a witch I think) who in one scene is in a graveyard - pursued by the hero - and is in the process of being regenerated and opens her cloak to reveal an empty torso. Medieval setting and I think she was a witch queen - either impersonating or a reborn heroine to possibly the main hero of a prince.
