Hi,I saw this film on UK tv around 1970-1975 it may have been made in the late 50's early 60's & was black & white, also I am sure that it was an American film. The film realy scared me at the time (although I dont think it was a horror film!)The film invilved two children that had gone to a deserted Island (I think in the pacific) with an uncle & aunt. On the island was an old deserted hotel which had a swimming pool with sharks in it.They had been told to keep away from it but insisted on going there.I can clearly remember the long camera shots of emty corridors + stairs. They here strange noises all the time. The most specific part is that they go back to the house that they are staying in on the island & some old strange man apears on the kitchen holding some fish for them to eat. He sits on a small trolly & has some deformed features, I know that the girl is scared by this & runs out of the kitchen !

I saw a movie in college between 1989 and 1990. It was always on HBO or showtime but late at night, usually 2 or 3 am. It was on frequently and it was bizarre. The main character was a young boy with a shaved head - looked like a chemo patient but I don't recall that they ever specified what he had. His mother took him to a carnival frequently and there was a freaky clown that gave him balloons. At one point during the filn he became ill at the carnival and blood started coming out of his mouth. I know, this sounds weird, but my roomate and i always caught this film in the middle and never saw the entire thing. I can tell you that the characters were British, so it was likely a film out of the U.K.

Result: Kenny (1988) It's available on DVD and VHS in the US and Canada. aka The Kid Brother directed by Claude Gagnon, starring Kenny Easterday as himself. and Gerry Klug as the Grandmother. Thanx RomanyX, Juniper, Alli. Oct 13, 2006

Sometime in the 1980's my mother played the part of the grandmother of a little Canadian boy who was born withoutlegs, but who nevertheless became quite active in his life. The story is told from the viewpoint of his older brother and I believe the name of the movie - which is a true story - is Kid Brother or My Kid Brother. My mother passed away 3 years ago and the only copy we had of this movie has become lost. I'd like to present copies to each of her 3 grandchildren as a reminder of just how great she was even though her part was small. The movie premiered in Japan, I believe, as well as in Montreal, Canada and my mother who was in her 70' at the time flew to Montreal for the party.

I'm looking for a film about a woman who escapes into a kind of fantasy world that she has created. She retreats from the real world to live in a tree house in the woods. It was made probably in the 60's or 70's, kind of art-y. I don't think it was French but it had that kind of feel. I saw the last half of it on IFC or a similar channel about 6-7 years ago. I seem to remember that there were two men in it also, that were baloonists or motorists, that were vying for her attention romantically, but I might be confusing this with another film.

in the late 70's to mid 80's i saw this horror film that scared the hoopla out of me--it was about this crippled boy who dad drowned him in a bathtub upstairs--and everynight at the same time you can hear the boy's spirit beating on the sides of the tub--some visitors stopped by, it was winter time and the old house was abandoned--a basketball came bouncing down the stairs on its own--and that's all i remember.

i saw this movie in '98 and i have looked for it everywhere. i only saw the last half hour, but essentially it was about a group of friends who vacation at a beach house and find out the one of the women is dying. they confront her about it and she tells them that she will be fine and not to worry. there is a scene where she and the guy she loves, i think brian dennehy, build a sand castle with sea shells. The very last scene is after the woman has died and her husband goes into a room by himself and starts to cry, but is visited by the ghost of his late wife and he knows that everthing will be all right.

I saw a film in about 1984 on VHS, and I have been racking my brains for the name ! The only bit that I can remember is that the main heroine is running from a murderer who has a pitchfork. She goes into a house which has all the furniture covered by white sheeting. She hides under one, sees a rat and can't 'ahem' control herself. Although something similar happens in one of the Friday the 13th films, it is not this! Anyways, a policeman friend comes to save her, runs upstairs and is instantly killed by villain who throws his pitchfork, impaling the poor bloke on the staircase before he's even said a line.

The film I have been searching for was probably made in the early to mid-eighties. I remember very little about it, but certain details are quite vivid. It involved three aliens who took on the form of hairless, mute children. I distinctly remember that, because they were in some sort of trouble or being chased by someone, a man (and perhaps a woman with him) was trying to help them escape. There was a scene in which the man finds the three children unconscious in some sort of coffins or metal chambers. At one point, the man is driving through the city and one of the children is curiously staring out of the window of the car at all the lights. They eventually ended up in a large catholic church. I have yet to find a single description of this movie in any database (including this site).

This is a mid/late 80's or 90's (short ?) movie, possibly made for TV. I cannot remember any character names and can only remember one scene towards the end of the movie - a mixed group of 5 or 6 people returning to their car after an evening out, the car is parked in a city parking lot and they are stalked by an unseen/invisible killer that can only move around in the shadows. The group of people find refuge in (on ?) one or more of the vehicles in the lot. While attempting to get to their vehicle to escape they are systematically picked off by the creature which hides underneath the parked cars. SPOILERS : one of the scense involves one guy trying to open the car door, a street lamp goes out leaving his feet standing in a shadow, the creature pulls him under the car - lots of screaming and bone crnching sounds. Also, there are some of the group who survive and are saved by the sun coming up over the city buildings - they turn to see the shadow (with a hideous shape) dissappear off into the city darkness.

OK, the time had to have been between 1970 and 1982. I saw the movie in a Manhattan theatre. An injured man sought refuge in a woman's house, which was isolated and on a back, back, back dirt road in a country setting. After nursing him back to health, she refused to let him leave. He insisted that he was well enough to go and had to return to his life. I've forgotten how she restrained him; I do remember she had these vicious dogs(Dobermans)to guard him when she was away from the house. I believe a lawman came to this woman's property looking for this man, but was foiled in some way. The woman was lonely and she might even have been crazy. The man did eventually escape; and the movie ended with the woman making plans to be more successful with the next captive. The movie kinda sorta reminds me of the Stephen King movie "Misery."

I saw a movie in about 2002 on HBO or Showtime. It was sort of like a made for HBO ABC after school special in the sense that it was a pretty dark view of the lives of some teenagers and the perils of drinking, drugs, etc. I can remember one particularly disturbing scene where there had been a high-school house party where drinking and drugs were in use, and kids were passed out all over the house. In the dim light of early morning, a boy gets up and has sex with a sleeping girl and then leaves.

I am looking for a B&W film from maybe 1940s. It is about a woman who is obsessed with a man to the point where she kills anyone she thinks might take his attention from her. Along the way she kills a young boy (maybe the man's brother) who is disabled. She pushes him into a lake (from a boat). Also she pushes a woman downstairs who is pregnant (maybe her own sister). She ends up in court (big courtroom scene). That's all I can remember. The leading actress had dark hair (Joan Crawford style) but I have looked at list of her movies and can't see it. I've been looking for it for years (was on UK TV about late 1970s). I think the film was American.

Hello,I'm looking for a movie I saw, it's pretty recent- from the last few years. It's a foreign movie- I'm almost certain it's spanish, I don't remember any of the actors. There are two people who were lovers when they were younger, and I think the man was believed to be lost at sea (possibly he was a sailor) the woman marries a powerful rich man and years later when she has settled into this life, her lover comes back. They have an affair and decide to run away together but the husband finds out and I think he sets a trap for them- lets them get away on his yacht but does something to it, I think there's an alligator on the boat also. I hope I'm not mixing any of these details up...I saw the movie on tv but I don't think it's made for television.

I saw the film in question on daytime TV when I was home sick from school back in 1976. I remember the film scared me considerably so that unfortunatley much of it was watched between shaking 8 year old fingers (or not at all). The film was in Black and White. There are only three scenes I remember in the film after all this time: A woman (I think she is alone in a mansion on a large estate) is haunted by ghosts or a ghost. A painting - the portait of a man - hangs on the wall above a grandiose fireplace and it seems to be the cause of much of the problems. The painting is taken outside and burned but then appears again hanging above the fireplace as though it had never been removed. Another scene that sticks in my mind involves the woman going into a large greenhouse and amid the rows tables stacked with vegetation is a skeletal form which (if memory serves) wore a robe much like the prototypical grim reeper. In another scene, the woman is in the main room and there is a booming knock at the front door. She crosses the room to answer the door but when she opens it, there is no one there. She looks down and there is a skull on the doorstep. She runs screaming into the main room and promptly faints. As she hits the floor unconscious, the skull comes rolling in after her (that sounds funny describing it now but the scene haunted my dreams for many of my remaining childhood years).

I saw this film about 40 years ago on television in Chicago. It was already an old black and white movie. I believe the movie began with an old woman sitting on a bench, thinking about her relationship with her now dead husband. A flashback shows their life of struggle together, ending in his death. In the end, she dies on the bench and then her ghost, looking like her young self, rises from the bench and greets her husband's young-looking ghost and they go off together. It is a tremendous tearjerker, and I've never forgotten the ending.

Result: Warlock-the Armageddon the people with the special powers are druid warriors, apparently. Thanx Vlad the impala. Sep 28, 2006

I seen a movie back in I believe 1994, it was on VHS, and it was in color. I don't remember the title or the characters. What I do remember is several scenes in the movie, but I don't remember them in the order they happen. For starters there was a scene that involved some woman in her house, and a guy stabbed her in her stomach, then brought her into some special room and brought her back to life, except instead of being brought back as she was, she had special powers, like she was able to spin a knife around in mid air without ever touching the knife. This also happened to a younger guy, except if I recall rightly he was killed in a different way. Another thing I remember is the bad guy in the movie had similar powers, and that in a couple scenes when he killed people it was relatively graphic, such as one of the times he twisted a guy inside out and remolded him into a triangle shape, however it didn't show all the twisting and excessively graphic material that would be expected in something like that. Another aspect in the movie if I recall rightly is that towards the end there was a fight scene between the young guy and woman that were killed and brought back to life and the bad guy that was going about killing people. At the end of the fight scene he was killed and instead of having red blood, he had black blood, and once he was basically dead, he was sent back to hell. As I said I don't remember the name of the movie or the characters, but initally I thought it was the movie The Prophecy, because when I seen the The Prophecy 2 and The Prophecy 3 here just last week I thought it was related to them, however once I did some research I found that to not be the case, though some aspects were similar, the overall plots were not the same and there were not any scenes from what I remember, and I even read the plot overview for the first The Prophecy movie, however even that movie is not it (and it actually came out after I seen the one I am trying to figure out).

I have been trying to find the title of a 1940s (mid-late 1940s, possibly post WW2) movie, black and white, American-made. I remember watching it several times when I was age(s) 8-12, 1956-1960, I'm now 56.I watched it on TV during the Sunday afternoon movies (time slot) it was a regularly scheduled time slot on one of the only (3)broadcast stations back then (ABC, CBS, NBC). I believe it was first shown in movie theaters. The movie was set in the country (US), possibly on a farm, in the mid-west. The main characters and the plot itself are about the close friendship of two neighbors/friends. One is a boy, I can't recall his name; and a girl whose name is 'Cassandra' also nick-named 'Cassie'. Their families are also very friendly. They grow up together and are each other's best friend. I distinctly remember many scenes in the movie with the two friends spending alot of their times together at 'the old swimming hole'.I think 'Cassie' may have been shy or timid perhaps because of some family situation or maybe due to some childhood-related issue or she may have had a 'minor' handicap (a lisp, or a limp). When the two friends are pre-teens or in their early teen years, and may have been falling in love, the boy's family moves away. I don't recall why, but perhaps for a better way of life. The friends eventually lose touch. 'Cassie' I remember, was devistated by the loss of her friend and the loss of the security and affection of their frienship/relationship. As the years pass, I don't recall that 'Cassie' ever really gets over the loss. Many years later the boy, now a man returns to his boyhood home/neighborhood in search of Cassie. He visits 'Cassie's' old family home but Cassie's family, I think, may also no longer be living in the area. He finds his way to the 'old swimming hole' where he reminisces via flashbacks, of the many hours of fun he and Cassie have had at the swimming hole; and imagines that she really is there and begins calling to her.But because it is just his imagination and as you feel his deep sense of loss the movie is ending......I do remember being very sad and crying at the end.....I don't know if he found out that Cassie had died.....or that it was assumed that she did, or it just could have been that he probably could no longer locate her whereabouts. I've been searching for this movie, or at least its title for about thirty years. I have scanned TV movie schedules for years hoping that I would find it on a classic movie channel, I've searched many times on TiVo, and in recent years on Internet shopping sites to no avail. I've also checked the 'found pages' and there's nothing even remotely close to the time line nor the plot!I hope you will have more success than I have had! I'd be extemely grateful for any assistance you could lend..........Thanks

Back in the early 80's I saw this horror film which I believe was in color on the 4:30 movie here in the US that may have been part of a British trilogy of tales movie. The final story (which is the only one I recall and like) starts out with a man driving a Porsche on a highway. He takes a side road and his car breaks down. He walks further down the road for help passing through a fog/mist. The town he enters is occupied by vampires with only a priest and woman un-infected. Their only sanctuary is an old church. The man finally manages to slip away with the girl back up the road to his car. He flags down an ambulance on the highway and they pick the two of them up. He begins to tell his story and notices out the window that they are heading back down the road towards the town he came from. When he says something the drivers turn around and they are vampires....the girl turns into a vampire and the story ends.

It's an old movie (maybe in the 1980s), maybe a horror movie. The parents leave the house and the children are home alone. They blow a hole in the ground and one of the children fall in and these demons or monsters start coming out of the ground. The children are under the bed reading the Holy Bible out loud. A big monster rises from the ground and the children use a toy rocket to defeat it. That's all I know about this movie.

I'd say it would be a 1960's or 1970's colour horror. All I can remember is the ending YEY sorry! From what I can gather there is a psycho murderer who is the son of an elderly woman who collects creepy dolls and in the end the psycho is in some sort of shipyard of huge ships and this giant anchor falls on his back and it crushes his back and paralyses him. The end scene shows the psycho as a vegetable (zombie like) sitting in a chair and the mother has dressed him in dolls clothes and is putting bright red lipstick and makeup on him like a doll, she adds him to her collection and thats the end..

A movie I saw on TV, probably in the mid-70s, so dated then or earlier -- A pregnant young woman and her husband move into a home on the top of a hill. He's gone all the time. She starts to hear ghostly voices coming from inside the lower cupboards; small items move around or become animated. She sees the scene of a young woman being hanged in the reflection in her mirror, and she sees her own reflection with the mark of a noose around her neck. She finds out that the house was built on the site of a gallows, and the victims were buried on the hill. The woman she has seen in the mirror was hung for stealing a loaf of bread, and is presumably not too happy about it. When the baby is born, the mother sees the silhouette of a woman who she thinks is the nanny, and she asks her to go to the baby. We then see that the woman has a black veil over her face, and is the ghost of the dead woman. When the mother goes to check on her baby, the baby opens its mouth to cry, and the laugh of the ghost comes out instead. I think I remember a title something like "The House on Gallows Hill" or "The House on Cemetery Hill"...

I can remember him walking on a sidewalk that went horizontally. I think he had a friend with him, and he went through some mirror to get to the other world. There was a witch lady there that had the tree. She had the key to it, as the tree with te fruit was under a glass done. And at the end, he ended up losing the fruit anyway.

At one point, they construct these monoliths all around the facility that are highly polished and use it to reflect the suns rays on the building to raise the temperature. The scientists use sonic equipment to shatter most of the monoliths but not all. At one point, the lead scientist gets bitten by an ant that is infected with some kind of insecticide, he in turn becomes delirious, wanders out into the desert, falls into a hole the ants dig, and is devoured. In the end, a man and a woman are all that are left, and they are somehow controlled by the ants.

I am looking for information about a color movie that I saw on TV in the late 80’s upto the early 90’s. She is an actress that has been in several other movies. She usually has long hair, always very dark hair. She has a funny way about the way she moves her mouth, as if one side is lifted higher than the other. In this movie, she is married to either a doctor or dentist. In one seen she is swimming and is harms way of an alligator or crocodile in a river. He does not warn her about it, he begins to take pictures of her. Finally, she realizes that the thing is coming after her, but her husband continues to take pictures and does nothing to help her. Another seen that I remember is that she had a baby with him and the boy got sick. They were in the kitchen in the morning, he was leaving for work and he gave her some pills from his black bag for the boy. I think that the boy had diarrhea. She did not trust him and took the pills to the pharmacist. The pharmacist told her that the baby could have died from the pill had she given them to him. Apparently the father was jealous of the baby in the first place. She returned home and grabbed as much evidence against him as possible including the pictures of her and the crocodile/alligator that he took when it was trying to consume her. She got a divorce and moved away. He remarried. He found out where the 1st wife was living (I believe she moved to another state) and began to stalk her. He wore disguises. He was caught, sent to jail but during the trail, wife #2 said that he had never harmed her nor their two daughters. She did not believe wife #1. He was found guilty and sent to prison.

At some point, this man is called in to court to testify, where he begins to speak and all of the town begin to worry about what they have told him coming to light.Unfortunately, I have never seen this movie and I was too young to have gone out and rented it myself at the time (I was around 12 years old in the early 90's). I'm trying to remember the name of a French film I saw in 2003 on the Love Channel. I'm guessing the movie is from the 90's or perhaps even much more recent. It might have the word "Summer" in the title, but I'm not really sure now. It's a low key film. In color. There's a teenage girl and a young woman who might be the girl's teacher or tutor. Seems like the two are roomates. The young girl is upset over her lost necklace, perhaps a birthday gift, and she accuses the older girl of stealing it from her. This, of course, causes friction between them. The two women go to visit the young girl's father in the country, and the father develops a liking for the teacher. They kiss, but nothing else. As I said, very low key. But sweet. At the end of the movie, as the young girl is reaching for something from the top of her closet, her missing necklace drops on the floor, and the mystery is solved. She then remembers placing the necklace on the shelf in the closet to keep it safe. French actors, English subtitles, nice little movie.

I saw this "horror" movie on television in the mid-80's. What sticks out in my mind the most is a son and his father living in a possibly new house. The camera shows the circuit box on a telephone pole blinking with a red light; then there's a spark. Throughout the movie we see different household appliances that short-circuit. It almost seems like a demonic presence, but there's nothing that shows this. Everything that happens seems coincidental and realistic. The most gripping scene at the end shows the father and son trying to escape from an electrical fire where the house has been flooded.

This movie is a foreign film, maybe in Amsterdam, or France (not sure though). At any rate it is a boput a couple that are traveling by car and stop at a rest stop. They throw a frisbee around for a while then prepare to leave. The girlfriend makes one last stop to the bathroom before they leave. It is in broad day light. She never returns. The boyfrind searches for her but never finds her. After several years he finally has stopped searching but still loves her and wonders what happened tro her. Then one day he recieves a letter from the person who abducted her. It has so many details that he know it is the true abductor. In the letter it states that if he wants to find out where his girlfrind is then he has to meet with him and do exactly what she had to do. He agrees. The boyfrind and abductor meet at the same rest stop where he gets into the abductor's car. The abdusctor gives him coffee and says that he has to drink it. He does and later wakes up to find he is trapped in a box. He uses his matches and realises that he has been buried alive. I don't remember the names of the characters. They were white and young ( in there late 20's). The film was not filmed in the US but it did have beautiful green hills in which they drove through. It was in color and I presume was made within the last 10 years. I saw it about 3 (2003)years ago on DVD but don't remember the name.It was in English and there werem't any subtiltles. I have been asking for help in finding this movie for quite awhile. I'm sure the movie was made in the late 50's early 60's. The father was played by a comedian in that time frame, but I haven't been able to figure out who. It's a horror comedy about a family; husband, wife and teenage son, who rent a large house by the sea for the summer. It was built by a sea captain for his wife. The history of the house is the sea captain caught his wife cheating and he kills both of them. Afterward he starts carrying on with the maid. His wife, now a ghost, gets mad and pushes him down the basement stairs, killing him. From then on the two of them are going at it trying to kill each other again and haunting the house. The first night the ghost wife comes into the teen son's room and tries to seduce him. The captain catches her at it and chases her through the wall. When he tries to tell his parents about what happened, of course they don't believe him.The next day the son goes with his parents to check out the town and he sees a girl his age and a little boy in the cemetary throwing daisies. He goes to the cemetary later to try and find them. He gets acquainted with them and he tells the girl about his experience the night before with the ghosts. She tells him the history of the house and what is needing to be done to help put the ghosts to rest. The only other part of the movie that stands out in my mind is they plan a costume party on a boat and invite everyone to attend. They have to do something while the ghosts are on the boat to put them to rest. They manage to do whatever it was they needed to and being the end of summer his family packs up and leaves to go home. On the way out of town he sees the girl and her little brother in the graveyard again throwing daisies in speed up mode. And that is how the movie ends. It's a hilarious movie and everyone I tell about it wants to see it. I saw it on TV many years ago, but it was probably in the theaters back when it first came out.

Result: Harold And Maude (1971) with Bud Cort and Ruth Gordon. Excellent movie! directed by Hal Ashby Thanx anon, Alli, Mark, Vlad_the_impala, Dan, RomanyX, Juniper, Brooklyn and Calidave, Patty. Sep 7, 2006

I recently saw a commercial on TCM, I think, saying they were going to air this movie. It is about this boy who is really morbid and he fakes his suicide a lot and when he grows older he falls in love with this middle-aged woman who shares his love of all things morbid. It seems like it was maybe from the 70s and takes place in England.

I saw a movie on TV as a child. It must have been between 1972 and 1973.I an not 100% sure but I think it might have been on the SFM Holiday network. The movie starts with a young man leaving home and his sad mother. He firstmeets Father Time--who tells him his quest. He goes from place to place at one point on a white horse. He keeps runninginto a character called "the liar" who is trying to keep him from solving hisquest. At the end he has to approach a castle which is all grown over in thorns and mustrescure a sleeping maiden.I thought it might have been the princess bride--but it is too old for this andI think it was also in technicolor. This has been bugging me for over 20 years! I can't even find any movie referencewith a character called "The Liar" in it.

Result: All Gods Children (1980) (TV) with Richard Widmark, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee and Ned Beatty. the person who asked for this might remember that one of the boys was white and one was black. They stole the school bus to protest against segragation. Thanx Alli, Vlad_the_impala. Sep 7, 2006

I saw this movie on TV in the early 1980s, probably during the daytime. It was a very serious/dark/edgy kind of movie about two boys who went wrong and stole a school bus. They had an accident in the bus (drove it off the edge of something, I think), and the movie ended with the mothers of the two boys at the police station, waiting to find out which of the boys lived (one lived, and one died). The cop(s) get on an elevator with the mothers and are just about to tell them, but the elevator doors close right before they do, so the viewer never finds out which boy lived!!! I was so MAD!

Result: They've Taken Our Children The description given sounds like a made-for-TV movie based on the real-life story of the school bus in Chowchilla, California, that was hijacked by three men. They ordered all the kids to move to the back of the bus and they were driven out to a rock quarry, where they were transferred into a moving van that was partially buried underground. Thanx Oriole. I am trying to find a movie I saw in the 70's or 80's. I think it was on HBO. If I remember right there was a school bus (that was hi-jacked by like two or three mad men). All the kids moved toward the back of the bus. They drove them out to a desert. I always thought the name was "Death Valley" or "Lost in Death Valley" but have never been able to find a movie by that name since. The rest of the movie was the kids trying to escape. If I remember correctly there were motorcyles in the movie. Guys and girls were on the bus.

western. looks like its from the 60's or 70's. im sure its probably popular, but westerns arent my thing so i dont know what it is. i think its starts out with this buggy going down a dirt road and then its blocked off by another buggy. weird music starts playing. the bad guys get out of the one thats blocking the other. ones a mexican with a big belly who grabs this very prim and proper lady off the buggy and drags her to an abandoned house thats close by. its hilarious, with over the top drama he throws her on the floor in the corner, and you see him waist up lol its all tense then finally he "unleashes himself" in front of her (hilarious) and hes all dirty from the road and everything but i guess she likes it, the next thing we see is him walking out buttoning himself. at some point during this, a guy comes up on a motorcycle he turns out to be irish i think hes an ex-ira guy or something similar and explosives are his trade. he teams up with the bad guy (who has a ton of little kids) and they rob a very protected bank in mexico. i think everyone dies, not sure. good movie, very surreal.
