I am looking for the name of a movie that came out during the late seventies to early eighties. It seems like it was a slasher type of film. I don't think it was part of the Friday The 13th series. Anyway, I just remember a scene with a girl running through the woods, trying to escape some type of mad man. I think a lot of her friends were probably murdered early on. She had short, dark brown hair, probably similar to the Dorothy Hamill haircut. I specifically remember she had on jeans with suspenders attached, possibly rainbow-colored suspenders. As she ran through the woods, her foot got caught on some type of trap. She became suspended upside down from the trap/rope and her body was slammed hard into a nearby tree. I am pretty sure this scene took place towards, if not the end of the movie.

I rented a movie back in the early to mid 90s that had the following weirdness: People fighting each other to get cats - they would throw the cats against the walls and if the wall was infected by alien or supernatural blob stuff - the cats would stick to the walls. They were also fighting each other for any red objects - red gave immunity to some alien acid or supernatural junk that was eating away at everyone. It was low budget and the actors looked like a bunch of SCA or Ren Fair people.

Okay, I was born in 1981, and remember seeing this film while still young. I'm guessing between the ages of 6-10, but can't be exactly sure. I remember very little about the movie. I believe it was a live action movie, but may have had puppets in it as well. I don't recall their being any animation. The only two distinct things I remember about the film are; the villan was a human female, who i believe wore all black, and may have had some sort of horns on her head, or an elaborte headdress/hat. The only other thing I remember is a small tree, that sat on a table, covered by a glass dome. The tree may have beared fruit or something on it, that was essential to the lead characters, who may have been small animals/puppets. I know this is an extremely vague discription, but it is all that I can remember. I don't recall if it was a movie that I view on network television, or if it was a video cassette that was rented/owned.

Movie was made atleast in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I think the movie was called 'Rose'. I want to say Ethan Hawke was a character in the movie. It is in color and was on tv. Based on a poor girl who couldn't read or write and falls in love with this boy. He falls in love with her and goes off to college. His sister teaches her how to read and write and she writes him a letter. His college friends makes fun of the letter and he stops writing her. He comes back to his hometown to a party. And he is jealous whe he sees her dancing with another man. I believe the movie was set back probably in the early 1900's. I can't find this movie and need help and want to see if it is available on video.

I remember watching a movie on televison probably early-mid 90's about a bunch of kids that would talk to a little creature that lived in the sand. This thing was on tv in Australia in the early 90's. A french movie, from the late sixties or seventies. A man was living in an apartment building with his mother and sister. He goes crazy - it was one of those 'social alienation' sixties/seventies movies - barricades himself into the apartment, and takes his sister as his 'woman'. He knocks the exterior wall out of the apartment (several stories up in the air) so it becomes like a cave. The police try to get to him, and there's a pitched battle. There was hardly any dialogue, just grunts, at least after he barricaded himself in the apartment. I thought the title had 'Cave' in it somewhere, but an imdb search showed nix.

I am looking for the title of a movie I saw as a kid. I can't remember the title but I do remember what it was about. This movie had to have been made in the 70's or 80's and took place in Africa. In an African Village. Well what happens in the movie is that the village is taken over by man eating lions, (the movie is not Ghost in the Darkness), because this movie was made way before came out. But, anyway the lions are attacking everyone in the village, but i cant remember what happened in the end or how it began. I know the movie was good, and I would like to see it again.

Result: Haunts Of The Very Rich (1972) (TV) starring Lloyd Bridges. Thanx Marphisa, Alli.

I believe I saw this movie on TV and it was in color in the late 70's or early 80's about a bunch of people who were invited to an island where strange things were happening and then they would come to realize that they had died but then a plane or boat would come to rescue them but it didn't happen, so back to thinking they were dead. Then again hope would come but vanish. (It's not the Agatha Christie "Ten Little Indians") Basically I think the movie was about coming to the realization that they were dead and in hell.

Years ago I watched a movie on TV and I can't remember the name of it or even who played in it but it was about a group of people that were invited mysteriously to an island and they figure out that they had died but then a plane or boat would seem to come to rescue them and they gave up that thought that they had died but the rescue never would go through. And then they would remember more about their deaths and then a rescue would come but again never would be rescued. Is a movie played around the end of the 70's / 80's

The husband leaves without helping her and believes she is dead..... Surviving, the wife is saved to later have plastic surgery and become a beautiful and rich model. I am 28 and I must have seen this film when I was in my teens. I'd say 10 or more years ago...but even then, it was an old film. Black and white. I remember there being a little white dog and a man who was being held captive or something. I think in the end he realizes that his captor is collecting acid to put him in (I seem to recall a bathtub being filled with the stuff). I really can't be sure...but I do know the little white dog played a big part in his plan to escape.

Result: Deception: A Mother's Secret (1991) (TV) starring Steven Weber. Thanx Marphisa.

I saw this film on tv around 1995-1998. It is a story about a toddler (boy) who is stolen by a woman who brings him up as her own. She subsequently meets a guy and they live happily as a family for several years. She then dies (of cancer, i think) and her last wish is that her boyfriend adopts 'her' son. However, the boyfriend cannot adopt the child as he can find no birth certificate or details of the childs birth. He also realises there are no photos of the child as a baby. Eventually, when checking newspapers for info on the child, he realises that the child had been stolen from his real family. The key to this is a small yellow toy car or truck which the child has always had. Eventually he reunites the child with his real family, of whom the child has no recollection. Anyway, it is a real tear jerker and I would love to know the name of this film and get hold of a copy, if anyone recognises the story.

This is an old black and white 50's or 60's film about witches. It used to be on TV during the 60's and 70's when I was a kid, and it scared the heck out of me. I thought John Carradine was in it, playing the priest / minister of the small town, but a search on his film bio does not show it. It involved a group of younger high school / college friends visiting the town (Salem?) and the girl's relative is the priest / minister. Don't remember much of the plot, but the ending was very scary to me. The girl is captured, and is to be sacrificed when the clock strikes 13 (at midnight!) Her boyfirend tries to save her, but is also captured. BUT - their football jock friend comes to the rescue despite being forced into a car accident and having a knife plunged in his back. He picks up a cross (the sacrifice is taking place in a cemetary) and must burn all of the witches with the shadow of the cross before the clock stikes 13!

There's this scary movie in my mind that I remember from the 90's. I saw it on cable tv and it was in color. I was young then so the scenes I remember from the movie are scattered and few. I remember only two scenes . I believe the house is possesed or someone is messing with people in this particular house (it's a big house like a mansion), but a girl is taking a shower and either the water gets extremly hot, or blood comes out of the shower head. i can't remeber which (sorry). And an old lady who tries to warn people about the house ends up dead in the house's pool, she's found at night, and the pool's lights are on. She's found laying face down in the middle of the pool. I know I haven't given you good details, but I hardly remember myself. (I was kinda young in the 90's :) but if you've maybe seen this movie yourself or if it even reminds you of a movie you've seen let me know please. Any little bit of info helps.

There was a horror movie, I think it was in the 80's but it could have been early 90's. There were a group of people (I want to say some of them were students, but I can't swear to it) living in either a very old house or convent or something equally gothic, studying what I think was some kind of paranormal activity. The only two scenes that have stuck with me are a)the one where there's a tank of some fluid, I think down in the basement, and when one of the people comes down to check on something, they find it the fluid dripping out of the tank straight UP... making a pool on the ceiling, and b)there's a young Asian character in one of the bedrooms and one of the female characters ends up in the same bedroom, but she's either possessed or something (she's also pregnant, if memory serves) and the Asian actor hides in the closet because she's trying to kill him (I think another female character may be joining her in trying to kill him at this point, but I can't be sure)... he's sure he's going to die, but the other people in the house have gathered in the bedroom on the other side of the closet wall, and they hear him screaming, so they break through the wall into the closet and pull him through to where they are, just in the nick of time. I want to say that the end of the movie was a shot, in black and white, of the outside of the building, kind of static ridden, like an old TV show, with the main female character coming out of the building. I think it was in someone's dream, and they'd had the same dream but without her in it at the beginning of the movie, which is what started the whole thing with studying the building in the first place.

I saw this movie in the early nineties, it may have been made in the eighties though, it's in color, and it starts out live action with a boy sitting on the living room couch, he's alone at home (I think he just got out of school for the day) and he is watching t.v. and talking to a friend on the phone when some sort of toll booth lands in his parents room or the kitchen or something. He goes to see what it is, sees this toll booth (phone booth?) and says to his friend he'll be right back and walks away from the phone. He starts to walk into the booth, but as he steps in, he turns into a cartoon. This movie is all about his adventures in the cartoon world, at one point I think he's driving a car in a swamp, there's someone else with him, and a dog. The dog jumps out of the car and the boy goes to search for him or something. At some point he finds this old man playing an organ like instrument that controls the sun and the weather. The boy waits for the man to leave and starts playing with it, wreaking total havoc with the weather and the sun is going nuts not knowing whether to set or rise. In the end, the boy ends up back in person in his house, he picks up the phone, his friend is almost in a panic as to where he's been, and then the friend notices something landed in his house and goes to check it out describing it as some sort of giant toll booth...

i am looking for a movie that i saw about 8 years ago about a girl who marries this man and they go away on their honeymoon and he cuts her up pretty bad and leaves her for dead in the swamps. This old man finds her and takes care of her. she goes back to the states and gets plastic surgery and goes after the man (her husband) who did this to her. if i'm not mistaken...she falls in love with the doctor. this movie was on vhs and it was a 2 tape movie if that helps. i would love to know the name of the movie. it is on the tip of my tongue and i just can't remember.

There was a movie I saw as a kid, probably between 1983 - 1986, and I am pretty sure it was "made for tv". I also think it was in two parts, one half being shown one night, and the second part airing the following night. It was about a woman, possibly aged 35 - 45. She was not attractive, but plain and homely. I remember she loved horses, and maybe lived in Louisiana, or somewhere near bayous. She was very wealthy. I think her parents died, and she was an only child, and she inherited a large estate and all of the money. A (younger?) man comes along, and I think he taught her to play tennis. He pretended to be interested in her romantically, but was only after her for the money. Because she was naive, she did end up marrying him. He then plotted her murder. She was out in a small boat, perhaps a row boat, maybe on a romantic outing, and I remember her falling in (was pushed?) into the water, and was horribly attacked by alligators. I think in the struggle she saw her husband abandon her, leaving her for dead, and then realized her mistake in marrying him. She does survive, though no one knows this. I think a man who lives in the wild finds and saves her. He begins her rehabilitation, I think. She is all bandaged up like a mummy. She is finally restored to health, and wants to have complete cosmetic surgery, even changing the appearance of her face. After her surgeries, she is gorgeous, and completely unrecognizable. She goes back to her home (plantation?) but assumes a different name. She seduces her husband to take revenge on him.

I am thinking of a movie wherein a mother loses her son. This ends up being due to the rapture of Christ. There are images of the four horsemen. Eventually her faith is challenged when she wont forgive God or Jesus for taking her son from her. Even after she is confronted with the spirit of her son who pleads with her to forgive God so she can come to heaven. I saw this on Cinemax @ 3AM in the early 90s. There was also a scene where a nude woman has a Blue Dragon tattoo on her side & back.

Result: She's Out Of Control (1989) with Tony Danza and Ami Dolenz. Thanx Alli, Jeremy, bootslalared, rampantbliss, Marphisa, Mark, J Star, wendyhoot, Sng.

Tony Danza played the father. Older daughter played by Amy (Ami?) Dolenz. Father's girlfriend played by mother on 7th Heaven. Film - most likely late eighties or very earlier nineties. Sorry, can't remember title. - George

USA, Color Movie, After 1983 and before 1995 I believe. Movie starts in a teenage girl's room doing a ''Flashdance'' training routine complete with the Flashdance music and 1980's style dance dressup of thighs with big whool ankle warmers (hence post-1983). We see that the girl is geeky all the way with frizzy blond hair, thick glasses and braces. As her father leaves for a business trip of a few days, the daugther convinces her mother(or possibly Dad's girlfriend) to help her get a makeover while he is gone as her father would oppose this. Standard makeover montage, out with the bad hair, glasses and braces, in with perfect skin, no braces and contact lenses. As the father comes back and gets told the news, the daughter comes downstairs in a white dress with white stockings (with background 1950's music). It follows that the now knock-out girl attracts a lot of unwanted attention and start going on dates. Dads freaks out as we are presented to a montage of all the types of guys who come to the house to ask if the daughter his there (from the nerd, to the preepy to the gothic and the rebel) and mostly just slaps the door in their face. Looking for solution to this nightmare, the father hears about a psychologist (through his book on father-daughter relationship, I believe) and goes to him for advice. Of course, the proposed advice fails. Nearing the end of the movie, as the father goes to a teenage party to stop his daughter from going too far with the ultimate rich Playboy that just wants to ''nail'' her, he hears an interview with the aforementionned psychologist which answer to the interviewer that he in fact does not have dauthers but doesn't even have children. Hearing this, the father speeds towards the radio station, barges in the interview and a funny fight ensues which ends with both the father and the psychologist falling from a window of the radio station.(Blank as to what happens next, but daughter does not get it on with the Playboy and the father might be in some form of doghouse with his wife/possible girlfriend for his overreaction. Still, at the end of the movie, the daughter leaves for a summer in Europe (with the nice boy-next-door, who seems quite happy with the situation!). Just coming back home, the doorbell rings and a young kid asks to see the daughter. Used to it, he answers that X has left. The boy replies that he is not here for X but for Y, the man's other, younger dauther. Again, we se the other daugther in the same type of white dress as the first one with the same king of music in the background, slowly walking downstairs. To movie ends with the daughter laughing to one of her dad's comments as she leaves. The girl has a very distinctive laugh, not as irritating as Fran Drescher's but very similar in its sustained, low-variation way.

It was set in the slums of a big Latin American city and told the story of a Father bringing up his two boys alone. The boys were getting into trouble and being picked on by neighbourhood gangs. He decides he has to get them out and onto a better life somewhere, so he puts them in a small boat and forces them out into the open ocean hoping they will be picked up and find their way to America. This duly happens and the boys become celebrities having survived the ordeal of the boat ride. He sees his boys on TV and filled with remorse sets off for America in pursuit. I cannot recall events in detail thereafter but I do remember the film ends with them returning home together. I am assuming the film is Mexican as the story line requires it to be a country close to the states to make the boat trip feasible. I suppose it could possibly be a Cuban or Puerto Rican film.

Result: Child Of Glass (1978) (TV) with Olivia Barash, and based on the novel by Richard Peck. Thanx Alli.

In the 1980s I watched this movie on tv, but I'm not sure if it is from the 70s, it is in color. The only thing I remeber is that a little girl finds a glass doll that glows in the attic of a barn, if I remember right. I thought the name was the glass doll but I searched for hours and haven't found anything. I'm not sure what else happens. The most I remeber is the girl in the barn with a glass doll that glows.

I'm looking for a movie I saw a couple years ago. I think it was the year 2003. It was in color. It was about this teacher he might even had been a substitute teacher and his class was really rude and mean to him, so he tricked them and brought them to a zoo like place and locked them up in cages with the electricity on the bars. I think they all die except for one.

Result: Lathe Of Heaven (1980) Thanx Paul. Mar 19, 2006

I saw this film somewhere between the late 70's and early 80's - I am sure it's a 70's film. It was in colour and set in America in a city - possibly new york. The main character was a man - living in some kind of apartment building. I dont remember anything about the plot - I just remember that he would go to sleep and would wake up and his surroundings had changed and gone strange - everything had slowed down as if in a dream - he would run out of the building and as he did a truck would be pulling away from the kerb. On the side of the truck was some kind of advertisment - it was a a picture of a woman or a womans face - quite striking with red lipstick - but the advertisement was torn and hanging down - and for some reason looking at it gave me a real sense of dread - i remember later in the film that he was actually seeing the future or the past. Another scene that I remember is him going to sleep again and waking up and the room being on fire around him, but again in a surreal and dream like kind of way, as if it was in the future. I also remember a bald charater in it?

A friend saw this movie about a step brother and sister falling love and the girl got pregnat. A few weeks later I guess she got married to another guy and he thought the baby was his, but it wasn't. When she was about 8 months pregnat she told him that it wasn't his it was her step brothers he kicked her out. I think she went to this cave on the beach somewhere and the step brother found her there and then she delivered the baby and they fell in love again. It was in color, it was a Life Time movie she said. She also said it was about, i'm guessing, 3-4yrs. ago, i am not really sure but I believe it was sometime around there. I do not know the actors/actresses in this movie. It was made in the US.

Result: I Like The Girls Who Do Thanx Mark.

I saw this movie around 1988. It was a "B" movie on late night Cinemax. I believe the plot was... A mans uncle dies and leaves him some money. The man must retrieve Six or Seven gold medalions from some women by having sex with them to get his inheritance. He must do this in 24 hours or so. One scene is in an apt., another in a mattress store. etc. I thought the name of it was "The Seven Gold Medalions" but I can't seem to find anything about a movie with that title. It may have been French.

Result: Pressure Point (1962) starring Bobby Darin & Sidney Poitier. But it wasn't tic-tac-toe! It was swastikas! Thanx RomanyX.

Black and white film, strange erotic scene where man draws tic tac toe on semi-naked woman's body using lipstick. Noirish. I saw this film in the 60's on TV, maybe in 1968, it seemed to predate the 1960's however.

Possibly named "Simon" although I couldnt get any hits that matched. Viewed around 1971. Think the main charecter's name is Simon. He has some type of magic or supernatural powers. Result: Clown (1971) Thanx Brad.

Searching for a possibly French or foreign silent film. It was shown on reel in the school system in the late 70s, early eighies, in color. I remember thinking the title was "Clown". Story line is about an orphan boy with a shaggy haired dog companion. The boy would walk the streets of the town, and beg, but would always share his earnings with the dog. A street artist paints a portrait of the dog, which the boy ultimately shows to everyone he meets when the dog becomes separated from him. I believe the boy later finds the dog, who is then a companion to a handicapped girl, and walks away, grasping the picture of the dog, tears streaming down his face.

I purchased a copy of this on video around 2003 on eBay. It wasn't in print in the USA at the time I bought the video. It's a great, wholesome comedy, with good underwater scenery and the music is not too bad for '60s pop. - simnia

I'm looking for a movie title of a comedy with a blond actress (playing a mother) who lived underwater (or on the water) with her family. This movie is in color and would be late 60's early 70's. They also had a seal that would pop up into their kitchen through the hole in the water.

Recent (within last 5 years) horror dvd/video about a group of young people who each answered an internet website advert asking for volunteers to take part in an internet based show where they would stay in an isolated house for 24 hours and agree to be filmed every moment 'big brother style' in return for a share of a large amount of money. The house is old and a bit run down and located within a wire fence compound from which they are forbidden to leave,if any one choses to leave they all lose the money, in turn within a spooky wooded area. As the time progresses they are killed or appear to have committed suicide one by one, until at the end it turns out that the original website was hoax for a snuff movie and one of them is the killer. He finally locks one of the remaining femails in a room/freezer room after killing the others. I cant remember the actual ending but it is very gory. The killer has had an accomplice all along and he turns up near the end I think. I do not think that anyone particularly famous was in it but all the characters are quite young and the film is in colour but filmed in subdued tones to add to the sense of isolation of the location.

I saw a movie in the early 70's on television. It started off showing a war scene and an indian (if I remember correctly) sending a doll to the niece of an enemy. She fell in love with this ugly, possessed doll believing it was beautiful. This doll tormented this uncle and eventually killed him.

Result: Prophecy (1979) starring Robert Foxworth and Talia Shire. Thanx Stareater.

Between 1975 and 1979 in theaters, in color, I can remember the movie was scary, I think it was about some type of Indian reservation outside of town. There was some type of monster I think that protected the reservation. I don't think the tribe people were fearful of this creature, It had something to do with a stream or creek that was located in the reservation. It seems like the people may have drank the water and then turned into some type of creature...I do remember a baby that was born.

I saw the beginning of this movie on a movie channel (like HBO) last year. Juding from the gritty images and the pace, I think it's from the 90s or late 80s. The scene I remember is with two teenage boys breaking into a house of a middle-aged couple, who I believe were parents of a friend or one of the boys. Both the husband and wife get murdered, one of them in the kitchen and the other in the living room with a fireplace poker bashed against the face. I think the boys were going to drive somewhere.

I am looking for the name of a horror movie that came out probably in the early to mid 80's. (color) I remember there was a boy who would talk to a teddy bear in a dark room. I think the teddy bear made him do things to people. There was also some kind of deep hole or possibly a well that the boy would visit with his friends. I thought it was called The Gate, but this is not the same movie.

It was on cable in the mid- to early eighties. I think it took place in a small town. It was in color. The parts that I remember involve a town where the bad guys are sucking the "souls" or "life" (for lack of a better term) out of the residents. I'm pretty sure that when the soul gets sucked out it becomes a sphere of light (hard to explain). Eventually somebody (maybe a young boy) catches on and tries to warn the residents of the town. I think there was one scene where the bad guys are doing their soul sucking and somebody catches them and it's upstairs in a house (maybe the attic).

I saw a movie about three years ago on DVD that was foreign with subtitiles. I believe it was German or Swedish but also could have been french ( sorry I just can't remember). I was about this couple in their 40's with at young son and their dog who go to the their summer home by a lake and almost immediately after they arrive they are terrorized by two preppy boys carrying tennis rackets, one is chubby and the other is the skinny, tough leader. They kill the dog first and then kill the son and the couple by toturing them and tying them up. The end shows them on a boat about to reach the other shore of the lake where another family awaits. Also there is a scene when the boys first arrive where the mother is in the kitchen and they get so close to her they startle her and she drops some eggs.

I saw this on tv in the mid to late 70's, in color. All I can remember is the ending, one of the characters the bad guy maybe? has to use his belt as a tourniquet on his leg, and he is being chased by doberman pinscher's. I think either the dogs bit him or he was shot. I believe the final scene with the dogs was in a department store or a office building. I think it ends with him falling over a railing and going out some type of glass storefront doors. When I was watching Deathwish with Charles Bronson, I thought it was this movie, but it was not it.

Result: Toy Soldiers Thanx Steve.

It would of be available on video in the mid to late 80s. The movie was in English and released in the United States. The movie was definitly in color. The one thing I really remember about the movie is that these kids (14-18) had to use a remote control helicopter that one of them had to accomplish something at the end that required the destruction of the toy. I also remember that they had to go into an abandoned amusement park type area and where wandering through the tunnels. It might of not been a horror movie but it was definitly a thriller/suspense movie if not horror. The helicopter seemed to play a major roll in it from what I recall.

I vaguely remember a horror movie from the year 1995, in color, and don't know the title or any actors. I remember that either the opening scene in the movie or a later scene in the movie includes a young man who is ritually going to commit suicide. There are candles everywhere and I believe he is going to fall on many sharp spikes or daggers to actually kill himself. I also think that in this scene someone is trying to stop him but comes in too late.

I saw this film when I was a boy in the 1970's. It was old even then. I think it was from the 1930's. It was a black and white film. I *think* it starred Bela Lugosi but am not sure. It was about a village next to a castle. The resident of the castle was doing some kind of evil experiments or abducting the villagers one by one. The main part I remember is that as each villager became wise to what was going on, some evil man in a black cloak would sneak up behind him, or her, break a flask of gasoline (or some fire accelerant) over their head and throw a match on them.

There was a fire in a barn and as a result a woman becomes blind, I remember a mirror and I think someone was trapped in it, and I also vaguely remember the blind woman having bandages around her head covering her eyes. I vaguely remeber people visiting the blind womans mother and questioning her, they might have been friends of the blind woman. One of the "friends" switches places with the person trapped in the mirror and in turn becomes blind. It seemed to take place in the U.S., in a sort of rural area. I don't remeber if it was black and white or color, or when I saw it but i have a feeling that it was an older movie. I think I saw it in the early or mid 1990's on television.

The end turns out that one of the parents drowned their handicapped child (boy i think) in a metal tub and the banging noise was his legs hitting the side of the tub. I think this was in like a hidden room in the house too. Its something like hell house or the haunting but none of those new remakes are it.

I am looking for a movie I saw on video around the late 80s early 90s. It was in the US and was a color movie. It was about two brothers who went to camp for the summer. The younger brother could not swim and was taught in a small swimming hole. He also was shy and did not have a lot of frieds at the camp. I remember a scene on the roof where the two brothers talk. I remember the brothers did not get along at first but eventually had some touching moments after the younger brother's birthday.
