Result: Alien From L. a. (1988) with Kathy Ireland, William Moses, Don Michael Paul, and Oompa Loompa, Deep Roy. Thanx Alli, ALNA70, Mark.

I watched this movie (Color) on TV back in the 80's, I think late eighties. The only thing I remember is the beginning and the end. The main character is this girl early twenties very pretty with long brown hair but she is very shy, wears glasses and conservative clothing, and is afraid of alot of things. Her cute boyfriend breaks up with her because he has made plans for a trip but she doesnt go because she is afraid to fly. It then goes to her father who is some type of archeologist and he is digging in this tunnel when he bsically falls into the earth. She goes in after looking for him. At the end of the movie you see her on the beach; a total knockout in a red bikini and no glasses and she runs into her ex who is totally amazed at the changes in her. I think she leaves on the back of a bike with some guy she met in the center of the earth.

Result: Misery (1990) film by stephen king Thanx scootertrashnoob. Sep 5, 2006

I saw this film at a New York movie theatre in the 1970's. After I saw "Misery" in later years with Kathy Bates, it brought back to mind another crazy (or just lonely) woman who took in an injured man at her isolated house (farmhouse? cabin? desert shack?) at the end of a backwoods dirt road and held him captive. I believe his leg(s) were broken from a car accident and he was confined to a bed. A few visitors came to her door (including a sheriff) but were somehow foiled by her...so that he was not discovered. I can't remember the lead actor....I thought it was James Franciscus, but I guess not. Please help me find the name of this movie. I saw it around the time of "They Call Her One Eye" and "I Spit On Your Grave."

Result: The Zantee Misfits Outer Limits (original) episode. Thanx RomanyX.

This is an older sci-fi, American-made movie that was probably filmed in the 50's or 60's. I saw it a few times on TV and I'm sorry but I can't remember if it's black/white or color. All I really remember is a woman in a desert scene running/scrambling/tripping while weird spider-crab alien robot things run after her while making a strange noise. I remember her running towards a parked car on the side of a road. The creatures were about 6 inches long I think.

Result: Sin Of Innocence (1986) (TV) starring Dermot Mulroney and Megan Follows. Thanx Marphisa.

I caught the end of this on cable late at night just after waking up, so it's hazy. A "forbidden love" story between a teenaged boy and girl whose single parents are recently married. Looked like it could have been made in the early '80s.

Result: Friends (1971) directed by Lewis Gilbert, music by Elton John. Thanx Marphisa.

I saw a TV movie in the mid '70s--I believe it may have been made around that time--about two kids of about 12 or 13, a boy and a girl, who somehow end up living alone together in a house on a beach. I don't what happned to the parents, but the kids don't get along at first but end up falling in love and living life much as adults, sharing responsibilities. For some reason, I remember the boy bulding a hang-glider in the garage.

Result: Starchaser: The Legend Of Orin (released theatrically in 3-D) Thanx Mark.

There was, or at least I'm imagining there was, an animated feature length film that I saw in the theater during the early to Mid 1980s. It was full color, futuristic/other planet science fiction type. There was a boy who received (don't remember how) a lightsaber-type sword that would only cut or the the blade would only appear against an evil foe. I think the boy had a younger sybling with some sort of disability, maybe blind. But the sybling had some special power. There was also a Han Solo-type ragged space pilot who took the kid under his wing. It felt very much like a starwars spin-off but I don't believe it had any affiliation. It was not a japanimation style. If I had to guess I would say Don Bluth style animation.

Result: My Little Eye (2002) Thanx Alli.

I saw the film in September 2004 and I assume it was neither old nor unpopular but I forgot the title and just want to see it again... It's about two girls and two boys participating in a reality soap, or better: believing that they are participating. they have to spend the winter in the middle of nowhere, in an old house and they have to complete some tasks in order to get food. The food's running out pretty soon and one of the guys gets his cell phone connected (don't ask me how - that's the weakest point in the film ;-)) and realises that they do not participate in a reality soap. Everyone's dead at the end and I think the title of the film was something with "eyes" - but not sure about it.

Result: I Spit On Your Grave (1981) starred Camille Keaton. originally did have an X rating until downgraded to R. Thanx McFarbe.

I saw the movie as a VHS rental between 1985 or 1986 although I am sure it was made earlier, perhaps a 70s Adult X movie. The plot is about an engaged girl who is out shopping one night when she is abducted by two men. They take her to a motel and rape her. She makes the decision to play along with them so that she wins their trust. Eventually, she asks them to stop by her home so she can pick up some personal things. However, she comes out with a shotgun and kills the two abductors. It is not the movie "Joe." I think the title has the words "An American Story," or "An American Tale," in it, but my search has come up empty.

Result: The Legend Of Hell House (1973) Thanx ALNA70, Mark.

Okay, the details I remember are vague, but I've seen the movie twice as a young, I mean young, child, 1973 and 1974. All I know is it was probably made in the 60's , no later than 73, there are two primary characters, a man and woman in their twenties, fighting an evil force. They find "it" in a church I think, in a secret room. If I remember correctly, there was a wheelchair and a vantrilloquist dummy in it, I think the dummy was possessed. I think it was in colour, but I can't be positive since time changes colours in the mind. I remember in one scene, I think before they found the evil, that the room (chapel?) was really windy, and things were being tossed about.

Result: Tomorrow (1972) starring Robert Duvall. Thanx Jeremy, Alli.

I am looking for an older black and white film. The main character was a very poor pregnant young blond woman abandoned by husband in a little hut of a house in the woods. A young Robert Duval comes along and first scares her, then ends up helping her. There is not very much dialog. Especially Duvall's character who speaks only in short mumbly words, sentences. These characters' age probably 19, 20? I'm not sure about films age. Duval was young, 20's? Film was probably late 50's, early 60's.

Result: A Christmas To Remember (1978) (TV) starring Jason Robards. Thanx Marphisa.

I saw a movie on TV and think it was a made for TV movie from the mid 70's to the mid 80's. I have no other time reference. A young boy lived with his grandparents on a small farm. It was set around the Christmas season. The grandfather was very stern with the boy and had some deep seated dislike for him stemming from the fact that his own son was killed in a war (I believe). Anyway some strang things begin to happen to the boy which is a sign that the spirit of the young soldier is comming back to visit. In the end the young man's spirit appears at church and kisses the grandfather (his Dad). A couple of scenes are the grandfather chases the young boy with his old tractor. I think the grandfather makes moonshine and their was a reference to him milking a stump in the backyard. I think the old man even smoked reefers for his asthma. Maybe the name had something to do with "a visitor" but I'm not sure. It was a great movie and I never saw it since that time.

Result: Night Cries (1978) (TV) with Susan Saint James. Thanx Alli. Jul 3, 2006

I am looking for a movie made probably during the mid to late seventies to early eighties.(color) It is most likely a made-for-tv movie. The last time I saw it was the early nineties on regular tv. I just remember there was a woman who had repeated odd dreams. One line I remember in particular is "Your biological clock is ticking." I believe it was a doctor telling her that in her dream. I don't remember much more than that. At the end of the movie, I think a nurse was trying to steal her baby. It seems like she was trying to take off in a boat or something. There was a struggle between the two women.

Result: The Harrad Experiment (1973) Directed by Ted Post; starring Tippi Hedren, James Whitmore, Don Johnson, Melanie Griffith. Thanx Juniper. Mar 29, 2006

Anyways, it was one of those cheezy softcore movies that were shown late at night on HBO/Showtime/Cinemax. I'm pretty sure that I saw it during the early 1980s, although the movie may have been made in the mid-to-late 1970s. The movie was a British film (or featured British actors/actresses). It was set at some sort of school (co-ed boarding school?) or college. Students were taking a class on sex education and the professor (male) paired up students to do interviews or projects about sex. The particular scene I remember is a dumpy looking guy who is paired up with an attractive blonde, and they end up talking about sex-related experiences. The guy tells her about getting the nickname 'Chopper' by schoolmates in his gym class while growing up due to his "large equipment". That turns her on and they start making out. When the make-out session starts to lead toward sex, with him starting to get on top, she tells him "You're knee is hurting me" and he replies "That's not my knee", whereupon she moans, etc. and the scene ends soon after (without showing anything explicit). Afterwords, she tells a couple of fellow female classmates about her wonderful time.

Result: Ilya Muromets (1956) Russian movie aka The Sword and the Dragon. It's disturbingly surreal and, to American eyes, pretty bad, enough so that it merited mockery on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Here are excerpts of a description of this film (from the MST3K Review site): "This movie is about a young man (although he already looks old enough to be eligible for Social Security benefits) named Ilya who, at the beginning of the movie, can’t move as his village is sacked by Mongol hordes...Down that path, he runs into the Wind Demon, who tries to blow him away...Ilya, along with two buddies, is now the protector of Russia or something. While out on a walk, he rescues a woman from some Mongols and they fall in love...Fighting breaks out and the Russians are winning. But then the Mongol leader releases his fire-breathing dragon to attack and Ilya, his son and his buddies finally succeed in killing the dragon and capturing the Mongol leader." Thanx Midnight Creeper. Aug 29, 2006

I saw this movie on the Million Dollar movie in New York around 1965 where the same movie was shown every night at 7:30 pm for 1 week. This movie was shown with a lot of hype the previous week saying it was the first Russian made movie ever to be shown on American TV. I think it had a one word name but I cannot be sure. It was a very strange somewhat primitive and mystical movie about a soldier or nobleman who wandered the land. He was very tall, very thin, very quiet and very stern and charismatic. The scene that has remained in my mind, he is walking through a mystical forest and the trees become alive. They expand with air and then blow at him trying to prevent him from crossing the forest He has to walk at a 45 degree angle to struggle against the trees blowing but succeeds. He has many adventures and somewhere encounters Ghengis Khan with his men.

Result: Stalker (1979) directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, based on (a chapter of) a novel by Boris and Arkadi Strugatsky. Thanx Juniper.

Hi. This is a hard one and I can't remember the name of the film but it was Russian with subtitles and I saw it on The Movie Channel around 1985. It was B&W and color. I will describe what I remember of it. It was set in modern times and there were these 3 or 4 guys who decided to go on a quest for something. I don't think it was clear what they were looking for. They go walking all around deserted buildings and through a forest. The buildings looked like they had been bombed out or something. It was a long movie and nothing much ever happened except they walked all over the place with some pretty weird landscapes and buildings. Towards the end they find a pool of water with a tecnicolor fish in it while everything else is B&W.

Anyway, this is a low-budget movie in color that I saw on TV on a local channel in NYC and is from the early 70s. The movie consist of three stories that are supposed to be based on true stories. The first about three men who are warned by a woman that they will all suffer tragic deaths unless they listen to her. The second, about a man who picks up a young woman while driving through a small bridge one night only to be told later on by some of the people in that town that the girl had commited suicide a few years earlier. The third about a small town with a large hole in the ground that makes these very chilling moaning sounds at night.

I saw this film on TV mid eighties however it's b&w - probably late 50's, the basic plot involved a cursed piece of paper that would kill the person who possesed it at midnight every day, the piece of paper had to be recieved by someone and not just slipped into their pocket, the ending of the film was set on a train and the curse that came after them was like a dark misty shadow.

There was a movie that I saw in 72 or 73 (I think it was the same year Gene Wilder's Wiily Wonka came out. I was very, very young so I don't remeber the title but here is what I do remember: - the setting was a big, old house - in one scene, a woman with dark hair started sniffing around in the kitchen; found a mouse (white mouse I think) chopped itin half with a cleaver and ate it. - another seen where someone was showing the shin of their leg and a dark blue something was oozing out of it. I know it's sketchy but that's all I remember.

Result: Devil Dog: The Hound Of Hell (1978) (TV) starring Richard Crenna. Thanx Marphisa, Stareater.

Sometime in my early childhood, likely 1977-1980, I saw a horror movie I would not have been allowed to watch. The memories are sketchy but the main character was a dog (a german sheppard?). It was shown on T.V. (2 english channel service) in New Brunswick in Canada. The dog was possessed and the husband of the family was the only one to know it. The mother and child both stood up for the dog, however later I believe the husband found that in a mirror reflection his wife and child were both disfigured by evil. The man tried to take the dog away but upon returning home the dog had beaten him and was already back. One scene I remember may involve a pentagram and had the dog walking down a dark passage towards the man. The dogs shadow was not that of a dog but something terrifying, I think it was a hounds of hell type shadow, or the devil. Since this movie was so terrible for me as a child, the adult horror fan in me would love to rewatch it to see if it is any good or just a lame horror flick.

Result: Freeway 2: Confessions Of A Trickbaby (1999) starring Natasha Lyonne. Thanx Marphisa.

I saw this movie on cable and it must have been a straight to video sort of deal. It involved this white/blonde girl... at first I thought it was Dominique Swain but after looking up her movie profile I found that it isn't her... but someone in the 90's that made movies like that, that took chances. ANyway, it takes place in Mexico where this transexual person has these little kids and such trapped in a back room where he films them performing acts and such. She/he keeps on feeding this white girl over and over and over to fight the demons within herself. She/he was into santeria or lukumi religion. In one scene she is sitting at this banquest table trying to eat everything and there is this huge roasted pig. She keeps on shoveling it into her face. In the end a black cop saves her which she supposedly had a relationship with. I am figuring this is late 90's because I saw it on cable.

This movie came in in 1983 or 84 I'm pretty sure. I saw it at a theather in North Carolina. It was about a plane of about 5,6 or 7 beautiful women that crashed and they became stranded in the jungles. I believe they encountered some rifle toting men that captured them ( possibly raped, tortured and murdered some of them). They had to fight their way out and escape. I believe the word "AMAZON" was in the title but not quite sure of that.

This in-color movie, I do believe, was made in the early to mid 80s. I don't remember very much other than a white teenage boy and a black teenage boy and the white boy dies in a plane crash and returns as a ghost that looks like his human form. The black boy is able to see him and tells the dead boys family that he can communicate with him. He also informs a girl, possibly a love-interest of the white boy, that he can talk to the white boy. The end of the movie, if I remember correctly, the white boy wakes up in his bed and discovers it was all a dream.

i saw a film in the early 80s(86-89)which might have been a uk or american movie I don't remember. it's in color and it's a children's movie (might have been done in 70s no clue) about a sister and her younger brother and another boy (I'll call him Bob) in their neighborhood. they all live on a mountain or in some mountainous range sort of place. one day bob is teasing the girls brother and puts a cat or some other cute pet a little ways down a mountain or cliff. the boy tries to reach the pet and falls and breaks his leg. he later has one leg shorter than the other. his sister swears she will never forgive bob who is very sad and tries to make amends. from that day on she forbids her younger brother from having anything to do with bob. bob even makes a case full of small wooden animal toys for her brother (I think) and she throws them all over the place. bob wins a contest at school or he makes a nice wooden horse which she stomps on and breaks. later on in the movie she is stuck up on the mountain somewhere and hurts her leg in winter and needs help. I think bob comes along and is the one who helps her get to the doctor or something like that.

Looking for the name of an old movie that I saw on tv probably in the late 60's. It may have even been a Twillight Zone episode. All I remember was that the movie centered on a little evil boy that goes into a magic shop and learns about dark magic. I have seen this movie a few times on television. The last time I saw it was in the mid 1990's. I belive it was made in the 80's. It is in color and appears to be American. The plot involves a man in his late twenties early thirties that is engaged and a few days from his wedding. He leaves on a trip to pick up a his wedding gift which is an exotic ?red? sportscar. He meets a exotic woman saleslady that coherses him into a fully loaded buy. Not soon after driving off the lot does his car breakdown. It was then towed to the dealer. The rest of the movie invloves him dealing with this infatuation with the saleslady and getting his car back. Key things I remeber were a nightmare scene that invoed a bad burrito the man ate, that talks to him inside his own stomach. I also remember the auto mechanic of the car dealership helping him break into the dealership to retrive his car using peanut butter and ground beef balls to distract the doberman gaurds. He then returns to marry his wife.

Result: Little Rascals (1932) episode Birthday Blues Thanx snotjello.

I saw this black and white film last night (2005) at a club so I couldn't hear anything that was said and I only saw the end part of it. The first scene I saw was a young boy with big brown eyes 7ish sitting at a table feeding a dog sausages under the table cloth. This upset his very cute younger brother with chubby cheeks who gets down under the table and pretends to be the dog so his brother feeds him instead and when he realises he puts Tabasco sauce on the sausage to teach him a lesson. Meanwhile their father is reading the paper and when their mother comes in with a package containing a new dress he barely notices upsetting the mother who goes into the bedroom. The older boy follows her and says something. Next we see him walking down the street with his younger brother who has a rope tied around his waste. Basically the boy wants to make his mum happy and for his dad to notice her and he tells this little black boy who is sitting on the pavement and they end up baking going into a kitchen to bake a cake after seeing a sign in a shop window. They follow this recipe which appears on the screen with bits highlighted like 'sit in the ice box' so then you see the younger bother sitting in the ice box and other amusing word plays like this including 'roll in flour' and lots of flour on the floor and the dog rolling in it. They mix all the ingredients in a large basin and then add shoes, braces, a mouse trap amongst other things and put in the oven which moves violently. When it comes out the cake is a big cube the shape of the oven but the top is bubbling and the black child covers it up with sugar. Next they take the cake through to a room with lots of children round a big table and the black boy serves them the cake and pulls out the shoes etc and some poor boy gets a mousetrap on his lap, all very funny! Then the dad (I think) comes home and I think was wearing a uniform like a train conductor and takes the older boy and spanks his bottom. Then the mother comes home and they end up all dressing up and she puts on her dress and looks amazing and they walk down the street and its the end.

the time period has to be around 1988, i'd go ahead and give it between 1886-1992 for pure memory error. I saw it in the theatres w/ my family in the US. There is some scene w/ a little boy in a huge mansion with elephant statues everywhere, which looks like its set in India. The boy and his family are white, maybe British. These people come in and kills everyone including his parents, and the boy goes and hides. When he comes out of hiding or wakes up, all the bodies are gone, and he goes outside, and its like fall/winter, and there is a swimming pool full of leaves or something. This might have been a flashback within the movie.

Comedy movie of the Jack Lemmon or Walter Matthau style. Perhaps made in the 60's or early 70's. The plot item that is most memorable for me is that a man is very proud of the fuel economy he gets from his car (perhaps a VW bug). The man's neighbor sneaks into the man's garage and ADDS fuel to the man's fuel tank. This causes the man to brag about the fantastic fuel economy he is getting. Then weeks later the neighbor starts to siphon fuel from the man's tank. This causes the man to be upset and the man takes his car back to the dealer (or mechanic) complaining that he is no longer getting such great fuel mileage. The neighbor may have also had an ill child that was in on the prank.

it was on HBO/Cinemax sometime in the 80's I believe. It was about some actresses either filming a movie, or attending acting classes in a mansion. I don't remember a lot about the detail of the film; but I do remember a man wearing a mask with red hair killing the actresses. There was this one scene in particular that I remember...a girl went to go skating at a pond in the woods, and she brought her music with her and started skating...meanwhile the man with the mask is on the ice and tries to get her. She takes off into the woods and he chases her. I feel like there was a scene where he's looking for her in a room that was like a storage room for manequins and stage props and stuff.

Result: Not Of This Earth (1957) is the film with the alien in shades. Thanx Mark, ALNA70, RomanyX.

I think it is a 50s b-moive that had as the main villian an alien that had eyes that killed. He dressed in a dark suit and a black fedora and always wore shades until he wanted to kill that is. He would round up winos to kill as well. Also, he employed the use of a "freeze-dried" creature that he rejuvinated and then it flew to a threat and killed the hapless victim by dropping on his head and munching on him.

Result: The Outer Limits (1965) An original episode entitled "The Premonition" Thanx RomanyX. Jul 23, 2006

This sci-fi film from the 1960's (maybe late 50's)features a scene where all the people in a small town are frozen in place during a "typical" summer day. The lead character, who is not frozen or becomes unfrozen sees a delivery truck that has rolled out of gear toward a child that is in its path. He rushes over to save the child just in time. I remember watching the movie around the late 60's on a Saturday afternoon movie matinee on a Chicago television station. I believe the movie was in black and white, however, I might have been watching it on a B/W TV. I am very certain that it was not a popular movie.

I'm looking for the title of a movie that came out in the 1980s. It's about a group of male childhood friend as adults. One gets terminally ill and another convinces the group to live one last adventure- as pirates. They do find a ship and captain and take the sick guy from the hospital. There's a deal that if there is a heaven, the dying guy will blow a friend's hat off after he dies.

Result: Matinee (1993) starring John Goodman. Thanx Mark, ALNA70, Mike, ejimenez, Changeable65, Marphisa.

I saw this movie on tape in the early 90's -- thats when it came out. Setting - 1950s, suburban town, U.S. Color or Black/White - Color. Plot - This movie is a sort of comedy about the cold war 50s. The main character is a boy of high school age whose father (i think its his father) runs a theater. The theater shows many corny 50s movies (attack of the giant ants, et al.) and there are a lot of special effects in the theater that go along with the movies (steam shoots out, the theater rumbles, people in monster suits run around). The boy likes some girl at school (i know, its vague). The boys father is a big cold warrior and has a bomb shelter...near the end of the movie there is a false alarm and the father almost sets the automatic lock on the bomb shelter (which would keep the shelter locked for a number of years).

Result: After The Promise (1987) (TV) starring Mark Harmon. Great movie! Thanx Charity, Marphisa.

It's about a father (widower?), with five boys... so as the story develops, the father get in bankrupcy and Social Services splits all of the children with adoptive families. Eventually, the father (who I recall looks like a youg Sam Neill, a young Kevin Costner... don't remember the actor) gets married again, builds a new house, and goes to jury to get they child back. The movie was NOT set in modern times... it looked like rural America in the 50's, 60's? The movie should be from early 90's. It was a very "weepy" movie. Another detail: As time goes by, the kids become a bit resentful, what was a happy family, becomes something very sad.

I saw this on AMC or TMC a few year's ago. It was not a movie, but from some kind of recurring show that was on TV in the 50's or 60's, Similar to Hour of Stars. It was a Christmas Episode, and a man and his pregnant wife are traveling and the car runs out of gas or breaks down near this motel that has a restaurant. They stop in, and need a room but there are no vacancies. There are other people in the restaurant, and the motel owner is Italian.

Result: The Whisperers (1967) starring Edith Evans Thanx Bobbilee. Mar 20, 2006

I believe it is a British Film, set in the 60's or early 70's and is B&W. It's centers around an old woman whose husband leaves her, and has no money or way to support herself. She's a really strange old woman, and there's not much dialogue in the whole film. At one point her son comes and she thinks he's going to help her, but I think he takes something from her to sell and keeps the money himself.

Result: The Point (1971) (TV) animated, created by Harry Nilsson. The song is called "Think about your troubles" on the album, but it begins with the lyric "Down to the Bottom" and describes the path taken by water from ocean to teapot. Thanx catherwood.

This was a show or movie on TV probably in the 70's, could be animated, and was something about a tear or a raindrop falling and how it made it out to the ocean (how it mixes with the streams, is inside a fish, etc. ) There may have been a song with it too, and it seems that I saw it more than once, but I think it was before the VCR so must be a TV something or other. It seemed to have a very mellowy, dreamy type quality to it...somewhat philosophical.

Result: Someone Was Watching Thanx kyacarver. May 27, 2006

This movie was set somewhere in USA in a quiet town. I think it would have been made in the last 10 years, probably less and was set in the same period. It's about a young white girl that goes missing, probably abducted, and her older teen aged brother and his friend are trying to find out who took her and whether she is dead or alive. The parents believe she is dead as it has been about a year since she disappeared. The boy and his friend suspect a man who used to run a local shop but suddenly up and left town not long after she went missing. They track him to a house in another town. I think the suspect had a Ice-cream truck or similar. It was a colour movie and I saw it on Television but had to stop watching it before it ended, so do not know how it ended. The boys were doing this investigation without the parents knowledge or consent.

Result: Dolls (1987) Thanx ALNA70.

I'm looking for a film that I thought was called The Christmas Dolls. It was produced in the 70s-early 80s and is definetly British. The story is about a man who (is travelling?) stays one night with an elderly couple in an old British country mansion. Half of this place is sealed off, and the man is warned not to enter. Of course, he does, because he is lured by the sounds of laughing (dolls), whence he meets an untimely end.

Result: The Gate (1987) starring a young Stephen Dorff. Thanx Michelle.

The movie I'm looking for sounds like it could be DOn't be Afraid of the Dark, but I'm not sure. The parts I specifically remember are 1) the little creatures sort of melt together into one big monster guy, and 2) a girl finds the big monster guy in a closet, or she is the one hiding in the closet, and she picks up a Barbie doll and stabs him in the eye with its legs. Is that the same movie or a different one? Also, there's this other movie, which I seem to remember being a teenage sex comedy (of not fabulous quality) about a group of high school boys who are friends. I think it was made in the late 80's - early 90's. One of the characters is named Spider, and toward the end of the movie he ends up lying on a bed, on his stomach, with a candle poking out of his bottom. I also seem to remember one of his friends daring him to masterbate in class, which he does, at his desk. The tray of his desk is lifted up, and as the teacher walks by he/she closes the lid of Spider's desk and it closes on him.

Result: Offspring aka From A Whisper to A Scream, starring Vincent Price and directed by Jeff Burr. Also featuring Clu Gulager, Rosalind Cash, and Martine Beswick. Thanx Amy, ALNA70.

This horror film is essentially a collection of stories, narrated by an old man to a female journalist interviewing him about his niece's homicidal tendencies. At the end the journalist ends up killing the old man. The central idea of the stories is the homicidal influence the land has on certain people. They include a man getting pregnant a girl he was in love with and then killing her (later he also kills his sister in a bathtub full of ice), a group of insane kids mutilating and killing some ex-soldiers and a strange black man who has discovered the secret of immortality and confers it to a criminal he meets, only to mutilate him horribly later.

I think it might have been hosted by Leonard Nimoy, it might have even been "In Search Of...", but I could not find it. The story was about a boy who loses his dog in a hole in the woods. There is mist and gastly sounds coming from the hole. That night the boy and his family hear howls and moans coming from the woods. The next day, the father is lowered into the hole with some ropes and when they pull him up he is insane, eyes rolled back in his head...he goes running off crazy.

They have a special room that they chop up the bodies in and tell the girl to stay out but being curious she looks in the room, gets caught, and ends up getting chopped up herself.

Result: The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) Thanx Mark.

Trying to find a vampire film that was released at least earlier than 1975. It was on TV then in Canada. Would love to purchase it to watch it with my kids for laughs! I was a young kid and things are a bit vague but from what I remember, here it is. It was based in a snowy climate and 3 people were the main characters. One was a woman, one was the male hero and the other an old man (I think a scientist) that kind of looked like Einstein. One part I believe had the hero either trudging through the snow or on a snowmobile around a castle. Another (I think) had a father of a girl that was killed by the vampire? taking a large bite out of a bulb of garlic and then out the door to kill the vampire (and of course dies)! I vaguely remember that they dug up a grave and found it empty. May have been the girl after death tunneling out to return to the vampire hoards. THIS PART I DO REMEMBER WELL THOUGH: They ended up in a large room filled with vampires that were ball room dancing (kinda cheesy but I loved it) and dressed up in what looked like Victorian style dress. They ended up in front of a large mirror that gave away their reflections, and they tried to shrug it off and dance out of the room. The music even stopped and so they started to hum and continued to dance with all the vampires not moving and with a blank stare (even mouths open in amazement). They then ran from the room, up a tower locking doors behind them with the vampires hot on their trial... and that is all I remember! I'm pretty sure that it was in color which leads me to late 60's or early 70's release. I only seen it on TV as well.

Result: Mausoleum (1983) Thanx Mark.

I saw this movie on the late night Fright Night movies on the USA Network channel. The movie starts off in a cemetary during a funeral. Then, during or after the funeral, a little girl winds up curiously walking to an above mausoleum. Once inside, the little girl becomes possesed by a shadow in the mausoleum. I believe the movie then takes place in the future, when the little girl grows up. She starts killing people, turning into different variations of a monster. I remember her killing a dude when he walked into her house and she was changed into the monster. If I can remember correctly, he walks up her stairs and she is doing something in a closet and then he dies falling off or over the staircase (she kills him with her powers). Another scene that I vaguely remember is one dude figuring out what she is goes to her house and she turns into another variation of the monster and knocks him out in her bathroom. While the dude is knocked out in the bathroom, the girl(woman) goes to do something either kill somebody else or become the monster for good. I dont know it was such a long time ago. Appreciate anything you can do for me.

Result: Two On A Guillotine (1965) with Connie Stevens & Cesar Romero. Thanx Alli.

I saw this movie in the early 70s, and I believe it was pretty current then. (late 60s early 70s). I was very young when I watched it, so forgive me if my details are very vague. Girl and father move into house. Father has to leave for some reason. (business trip?) While he's gone, someone is after daughter. Scenes I remember: Car crashing into picture window, girl runs to tell someone, and when she returns to scene, window is fine. Scene two: girl is being chased. As she's running through a marshy area, a hand reaches up and grabs her ankle. She struggles and gets free. Goes and tells friend, both return and no one is there. Final scene: Girl is somehow convinced that it's her father doing all these things to her, and he's not really gone. She is waiting with gun, and when he returns and walks through front door, she shoots him with shotgun. Then she realizes it was not really him. End of movie. I think there may have been a doll house in this movie too.

I'm looking for a horror movie with a little boy who lives in a mansion. The main thing I remember from the movie is the bathroom that has a monster cocoon in a bath tub that lays these eggs. Once they hatch they turn into some kind of alien. I also remember that there where aliens in this movie, that at the end take off from behind the house and the boy and this woman are watching it from the wood. This movie came out in the early 80's and I think it was a foreign film. I think the movie was called XTC, XCT or something

a bully is chasing another kid down a wooded highway, the bully is on either a motorbike or a moped, the kid being chased is on a bicycle. Bully forces kid off road down a hill, threatens to take his nose off in the kid's spinning bicycle wheelspokes; law officer (sheriff?) (who seems to be walking with a limp, or maybe an unbendable knee) comes up out of nowhere and pulls the bully off, sends the other kid away, bully says something like "you can't lay a hand on me" sheriff pushes bully onto ground, picks up motorbike and threatens to wipe kids face off with spinning tire, bully's scarf accidentally gets caught in bike spokes and he is killed. Sheriff notices another kid on a bike saw him and then sets off to kill him, following him into kids house, upstairs, breaks through bedroom door (with hammer) kid jumps out second story window just as mom pulls up in station wagon and they flee, sheriff follows in his jeep cherokee type police vehicle and eventually forces them into an oncoming truck killing them. Next I saw was the original kid (who was being chased by the bully) is up in his attic, with his father looking on, looking at a mannequin with some ladies clothes on it, his father says something like "what are you doing?", I forget the response, but it has something to do with the kid maybe not believing that his mom is actually dead?

I saw a film in the mid 90s where one of the main characters has a torn postcard of Waikiki Beach, but the top corner was torn, so the only thing he could read was "ikiki Beach", and see the picture of the beautiful beach. The setting, I think, is post-apocalypic, and the man who has the postcard and wants to get to "ikiki beach" is around 25-30 years old, I think. I don't remember if he's the main character or not. I also don't remember if he ever makes it to the beach. I saw this on video or on TV so I don't know if it had a theatrical release, but I was under the impression it did.

foreign movie from spain english subs. saw on Independent Film Channel. quality is bad like a 80's movie but saw it fairly recently (3 or 4 years ago) so possibly a 90's movie. older singer (bleach blonde hair) is the mother of a daughter who doesnt really like her mom anymore, they're growing apart. a guy gets killed that mom or daughter (cant remember which) has been sleeping with. and theres this inspector investigating the murder who keeps showing up and the daughter ends up having sex with him in the backroom of a bar (standing up and holding onto a pipe over her head) her mom is out front watching a drag queen imitate HER old act. at some point the old mom has a show in front of a velvet red curtain. everyone loves it. the movie is kind of stupid but the music this woman does is so so good. at the end it turns out the inspector is really someone else, he's been in disguise the whole movie (may be the guy who was supposed to have been murdered disguised as the inspector)he shows the daughter who he really is , shes overjoyed and kisses him. very VERY dumb movie, excellent music. stupid clue: subtitles are yellow i even emailed ifc, they had no idea what the hell i was talking about lol

I'm trying to find a film I saw on TV in mid 1980s (when I was a kid, so memories are very dim). I'd guess the film would have been made in the early 80s, perhaps earlier. I believe it was an American children's film, a modern film (colour) set in the West somewhere (a town in the desert?) and I think it was probably based on a Western (in that I dimly remember a Western with a similar ending lone-hero-gets-help - actually, I've probably seen lots of films with that sort of ending). IIRC, this town in a desert somewhere was being terrorised by a gang (possibly on motorcycles or in trucks). A motorcylcist (possibly in leathers with bones painted on them) takes on the gang, possibly in a game of chicken. He is defeated, gets beaten-up and his motorcycle is badly damaged, but he recovers, repairs his bike and decides to challenge them again. What really sticks in my memory is the penultimate scene of the hero driving slowly through the town, going to face the gang again, and other vehicles (ISTR a bubble car and possibly a hearse with an open-top front cab) driving out from side streets to join him, and them all driving in a big line, to confront the gang. I thought it might be 'The Wraith', a mid-80s contemporary version of 'High Plains Drifter' with Charlie Sheen, but it wasn't.

I'm looking for a British BBC mini-series shown in 1987. It was about 5 episodes and was on Thurs nights I think, weekly. I assume it was made in 1987 as well, and was set in modern day England - it didn't specify where, but it would have been in the South. The opening episode involved a riot outside a chemical company, named Dinslow Chemicals (or perhaps Dinslow Industries), where a security guard was killed. Two police detectives were assigned to investigate, the senior one was in his early 40's, shortish, dark hair, moustache. The junior one was tall and blonde hair, and called Detective Sgt. Valentine. Although initially their investigation was about the death of the guard, it eventually lead to investigations into industrial espionage and all sorts. In the penultimate episode, Valentine was knocked off a bridge by a car driven one of the bad guys.

There was also someone hunting the couple and trying to kill them.

The movie mentioned is not Reckless. I am sure of this. I own a copy of Reckless starring Aidan Quinn and Daryl Hannah. Lori Singer is from Footloose.- Charity

The movie I'm looking for is about an unpopular, unattractive girl who likes a popular guy. The guy doesn't even notice her. Some how she goes into a crack in a mountain. She does a lot of running around and I think people are chasing her. As the movie progresses she starts getting prettier and she meets this guy on a motorcycle who rescues her a few times. At the end she is pretty and the guy she had a crush on tries to get with her. She rejects him and rides of with the motorcycle guy. I think it was a mid-80's to early 90's movie. I saw it on TV.

I saw the film in the 1980s (before '88 most likely after 1984) but I'm not sure if it was made in the eighties. I saw it with my parents on either HBO or Showtime (but, possibly video) during the early days of these formats. The only thing I remember is that the female lead (and maybe the lead male) are teachers at a school. At the end of the film, and this is the only thing I remember, the female teacher is going to be fired or is angry at something the school has done so she quits and as she storms out she starts taking off her clothes. The film would have been an American film and in color.

(Bonnie & Clyde??)This movie used to show on the channel KCOP. set in the 1920's but filmed in the 1970's, it dealt with two women and I think that they were both prostitutes in a brothel that dealt with mobsters.I was shocked at a young age, they showed a lot of nudity and violence including two disturbing scenes that I vividly remember. First scene is a black prostitute with really short hair is killed by getting shot in the crotch by a mobster!! it was very graphic and bloody. The second scene that I remember is the two women go to jail and one of them is very ill, the women guard is making scrub the floors with buckets of water on there hands and knees. One of the girls is coughing really bad on her hands until she almost throws up and the guard still makes her clean. The very end I think someone gets killed on a deserted road all shot up mobster style, including the car with suicide doors all shot up.
