Result: Great Land Of Small (1987) Thanx Alli.

This one was a children's movie. Another late '70's or early '80's one. All I remember was a boy and a girl and they were in some weird world. There was a slide that ended in a pool of goo and some creatures slide down it and into the goo and came out as more beautiful looking creatures, one was something that looked like a butterfly (well, a person in a butterfly costume) And I think the kids had the choice to go into the goo and become one of the creatures but they decided against it. Someone suggested that it might be "Under the Mountain" from the Third Eye Series, once aired on Nickelodeon, but I don't think that's it.

Result: A Little Peace And Quiet (1985) The Twilight Zone - starring Melinda Dillon and Greg Mullavey This episode is similar in theme to an episode of the original Twilight Zone entitled A Kind of Stopwatch (first aired on October 18, 1963). Thanx Jeremy, Marphisa, Mark.

I think this one was from the '80's, it was color, and might have been an episode of an Outer Limits type show and not a full movie. Basically there is a woman who finds some sort of medallion that when a certain word is says time stops. I remember she stops time when two sales-people are at her door, she lies them down in the grass, and the starts time again and they are confused. The only other scene I remember is the last one, which was disturbing to me as a child. She was in the parking lot of the grocery store, and is getting more and more frustrated with all the loud, pushy people, so she screams out the word to stop time and everyone freezes, but for some reason she can't get time to start again and she is left alone.

Result: The Mountain (1956) starring Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner (as brothers). Thanx Marphisa.

I was very young when I saw this film, which means late '70's or early '80's but I feel like the film could be as old as something from the '50's or '60's. I think it was in color. There was a man and a younger man, possibly father and son. They were on a snow covered mountain and trying to escape. At one point, they find a woman, who is injured and the older man drags her on sled with them. I think this angers the younger man. At one point, they cross a snow bridge. The older man dragging the woman barely makes it across before it collapses and has to pull the woman tied to the sled up over the edge. The younger man, I guess a distance behind them didn't see the bridge collapse. He is about to cross another snowbridge when the older man tries to warn him that its not safe. The younger man doesn't believe him and I think accuses him of trying to leave him behind. He cross the bridge, it collapses, and he falls.

Result: The Wizard (1989) starring Fred Savage as the quiet boy's best friend. It was basically a big advertisement for Super Mario Bros. 3, which was the amazing new game played as the tie-breaker at the competition at the end. Thanx Marphisa, MoonChic, Mark, DJB, Starius, Lee.

I saw a movie when I was really little about mid to late 80's. It could have been made in the late 70's but i am not sure. The movie was about a little boy who didn't talk much but was really good at video arcade games. The little boy ran away to play in a national arcade tournamet in another state. His older brother and a girl--i think a friend--went with him to keep him safe. I also remember a scene where the little boy is playing an arcade game along the way and he beat some mean boy's high score so the mean boy and his friends tried to beat the boys up. I think the boys gets to the tournament and wins. I remember the scenery was more desert scenes.

#994

Result: Gate (again!) (1987) starring Stephen Dorff. Thanx Stareater.

Ok, this might be two different movies but I'm not entirely sure. I do remember it used to be on something like "friday night frights" or "saturday night cinema" where every weekend they showed horror movies. Probably saw it during the early 90's? I remember a scene with a kid, and a loooong winding staircase...the kid does something, and then he looks at his hand and there is an eyeball growing there that looks back at him. I think he takes a knife and cuts it out or something like that, I think it was some kind of demon.

Result: Empire Of The Sun (1987) directed by Stephen Speilberg and starring a very young Christian Bale, John Malkovich and a small role with Ben Stiller as an American soldier. Thanx Mini Me, Alli.

#991

Result: The Rescue (1988) starring Kevin Dillon. Thanx Marphisa, Patricia.

I believe this movie was from the 80's, but early 90's is also a possibility. It is about a group of kids/teenagers whose parents were all in the military and were captured during a mission to an Asian country (I can't remember if it was Vietname, Korea, China, or what). The kids then mobilize and go to rescue their parents from the prison camp.

#989

Result: Tut & Tuttle Thanx J Star.

I saw this movie in the mid-late 80's. I vaguely remember a little boy being magically transported from his home by a tent to ancient egypt i think. There he meets a boy and a girl, and have some sort of adventure. At the end of the movie the boy sits in the tent and transports himself back to his house.

#986

Result: The Getaway (1994) Michael Madson-the bad guy, Jennifer Tilly-Wife. Thanx BlackLT1.

This movie has a scene where the bad guy locks the husband in the bathroom and forces the wife to have sex. Later she is in factuated with him and turns agains her husband. This a fairly recent movie, like the 90's I think. Color.

#984

Result: Deadly Strangers (1974) starring Hayley Mills. Thanx Marphisa.

British movie, probably from the 60s. There is a killer on the run, escaped from an asylum and people are being told to be careful. There is a strange man that gives a ride to a beautiful young girl - she is blond, as far as I remember. I watched this movie in 1985-1986, late at night, it might be from the the 70s also (made for television?). Anyway, man drives through the country together with the girl, stop at a hotel to spend the night, etc. There is one brief scene where the girl is exchanging clothes and the man watches her through the keyhole, where her breasts are briefly shown, but the movie is quite lame according to today's standards. There is a big surprise in the end, when you finally discover the identity of the person who escaped the lunatics house. After a big surprise you finally manage to see the picture of the loony. The film is British, for sure.

#983

Result: The Other (1972) starring Chris & Martin Udvarnoky as twins Niles & Holland Perry. Thanx Will, Stareater.

Looking for a film from 70's probably early 70's I just remember being scared sh**less all I remember is there were two twin boys i think one brother died and was in a casket in the house I remember the alive brother cutting off the dead brothers finger to get a ring off

#982

Result: Burnt Offerings with Karen Black. Thanx Mark, Alli.

I saw this movie on tv when I was babysitting in 1987-1990 time frame. The memory is sketchy, but I think this family moved into a house where one of the stipulations was that they had to leave food trays for outside of the door of this old lady who lived upstairs. At least, they thought it was an old lady, I think. The wife would prepare a tray and leave it outside of her door, occasionally trying to initiate conversation but I don't think anyone ever answered. At some point the wife realized that whatever was upstairs was evil, and tried to flee. There was a scene of her and kid(s)? trying to drive away and trees were tipping over, a huge storm like thing was going on. I think she made it back to the house to save her husband but maybe not. There was also a scene where shingles were flying off of the roof of this house, might've been part of the storm scene. She might've finally opened the door to the old lady's quarters and found everything to be antique, neat, and unlived in, I don't know. I have dreamt about this movie since then, never did get to see the ending, and would love to know what it was.

#981

Result: Distant Early Warning (1975) (TV) starring Michael Parks & Herb Edelman. Thanx Stareater.

This movie has some of horror, si-fi and suspense. I think it can be from the latter '70s. There is a military base on the north or south pole (alaska maybe), where lives a crew of around 5 guys. Something happens that leave them incommunicated and a while later, they recieve the visit of DEAD RELATIVES, who came in a machine that one of the relatives has invented in the other world to come back to this world. So everyone of the 5 crew members has a relative to be with. Some got his parents back, one of them re encounters with his wife who died in a car accident, and so on. The problem is that one of the crew has a lot of imagination (or a mental disorder), and the guy who got his wife back discovers that he never had those relatives in real life. Then all screws up when they find out that everything is a lie and all those dead people are really ALIENS that came to invade our world.

#980

Result: La Noche De La Bestia (1988) Thanx Alli.

I was up late one night and I started watching an American horror movie dubbed into Spanish. The Spanish title was "Noche De Baile," (Night of the Dance) but I haven't found any American horror movies that translte into that. Anyway, from what I saw, it was two couples in a deserted big house, and there's this crazy guy after them. He's some kind of religious fanatic, maybe a priest, and he's basically trying to kill them off. He kills one of the girl's boyfriends after he climbed onto the roof and then he stabbed him with a cross. The crazy Christian man also burned one of the other guys on a cross. It looks like a movie from the early 90's/late 80's.

#977

Result: Secret Places (1984) Thanx Marphisa.

I saw this color movie on HBO in the early eighties, during the daytime. It would have aired between 1982 and 1984. Probably rated PG or NR. I believe it was a coming-of-age movie about young women in England- I think during the Battle of Britain in WWII. (I remember bombings.) Toward the beginning of the movie, the girls meet in the attic of an old (or bombed) building (their school, perhaps?) to trade gossip. One girl, with frizzy blonde hair, announces the fact that she's started puberty by quickly flashing her top at the other girls, who giggle. I never got to find out what happened to the girls or if the film was based on historical characters.

#975

Result: Child Of Glass (1978) Disney. Thanx KMetzger.

I saw a movie on TV in the early 80's. I was really young at the time. It was in color. It was about a girl that had fallen in to a water well because she was looking for this china doll that was hidden in the stone of the inside of the well. I think someone had told her about it because it had something inside of it worth great value. I think a boy may have been with he to help find it.I don't remember much else about it but I have always wanted to know what movie it was. I know it is Not that cartoon Disney movie THE RESCUERS.

Result: L’année De L'éveil (1991) Directed by Gérard Corbiau (also directed Farinelli and others). Lead actors: Grégoire Colin and Martin Lamotte. Adaptation of Charles Juliet’s autobiographical novel, takes place in Aix-en-Provence. Thanx Janet the Film Goddess.

I saw this foreign film (not black and white) some tine ago about an army school. It was more about the lives of the kids in that school and the sexual relationships they had with each other and their teachers. Now I was during this movie that I realized that I was defiantly gay so this film has a bit of a history with me. I have told so many people about this film but know body knows what it was. All I can tell you is that it was on free to air TV some time between 1992 and 1998 on sbs in Australia. I think it was form the never lands but not to sure.

Result: All Mine To Give Thanx Mini Me.

This is an old classic movie, in black and white, made probably in the 60's. All I can remember is a boy who couldn't have been no more than 11 or 12, who has the responsibility of finding good, loving and nuturing homes for his siblings, after his father or mothers die. Both parents are dead. All I can remember is he finds homes for all of his siblings. But his young brother,I think he's the next oldest up under him, who returns to the home and doesn't want to leave the older brothers side. The home looks like a log cabin and there is snow on the ground where it had been snowing.Their both outside and the older boy is talking to his younger brother telling him he has to go, and while doing so he turns his back so his brother doesn't see him crying. The young boy says something to his brother, maybe he tells him he loves him or something because, then the older brother turns around only to find his brother the young brother gone. It ends with the older boy walking, pulling a sled and it is snowing(I think he was crying). My mother and I watched this movie together about 15 years ago.

Please help me find the thriller movie in late '50's or during '60's. A Criminal escaping falls from delapidated pier and is caught on ocean floor head above water. A young boy promises to not tell police to go to get help at house near the shore. I think criminal has some threat to get boy to help. Water rises with tide...very intense. Many things happen to cause audience to squirm to wish to hasten help to save drowning man. Water rises.

Result: Going Berserk Thanx Mark.

This movie would have been mid to late 90s. I am not sure of the exact year. A guy is handcuffed to another prisoner, a black man. The black guy decides to escape, consequently taking the other guy with him. After they've escaped the black guy dies, leaving the other fugitive handcuffed to a dead man. I thought the living prisoner was played by John Candy, but apparently it wasn't

Result: The Littlest Angel Thanx Tim.

I saw this movie when I was 3/4 so it must have been early 80's, around 1983 or 1984. I vaguely remember it being in color, but I could be wrong. I believe it was a religious movie, a young boy - 7 or 8 years old - lives in a mountain area. He dies and goes to Heaven. I believe it's around Christmas or some religous holiday because everyone is giving God a present. The little boy is frantic to find just the right gift. He winds up giving him something basic - like a feather or something, can't remember exactly.

#961

Result: Don't Go To Sleep (again & again & again!) (1982) (TV) starring Valerie Harper and Dennis Weaver. Thanx Marphisa, McCrae.

I saw this movie or tv movie in late 80's or early 90's. It was about this evil ghost girl, that terrorises this family, there is a scene with her outside in the daylight with a ring of flowers on her head, and I think a little boy is trying to break into his window from the outside and she makes him fall. Another scene is with someone cutting pizza and that knife goes crazy, another scene is someone getting electrocuted in the bath with either blowdryer of radio. Then right at the end of movie, when you think its all over, the mother is lying in bed and hears knocking, which she thinks is her maid, but then she sees the ghost girl rising up at the end of her bed.

Result: Encounter With The Unknown Thanx Mark.

Hi, I am trying to find a movie that must be from the early 80's or late 70's. not sure. I remember watching it on KCOP (Wasn't that chanel 9) anyway it might have been a trilogy. There are 3 bullies that kill this guy. The mother ends up cursing the 3 by telling them they will die soon "Two by sky and One by Land" at the burial. There's another scene where a man goes down in a hole and once they pull him out, he's gone mad. Apparently, he see the devil. I seriously doubt that I watched this movie on Elvira so I'm assuming chanel 9 or 13 must have shown it.

Result: The Fearless Vampire Killers with Roman Polanski. Thanx anon.

I saw this film when I was about 6 years - so either 1986 or 1987 - on BBC1 one sunday afternoon. It was colour and I think it was made either in the 60s or early 70s. It appeared to be British but I cannot be sure. I clearly remember that it was a group of people in 18th Century costume. They were dancing in what looked like a great hall with a grand staircase, though I seem to remember it being hidden or lost inside a cave for some reason. While they danced the people slowly turned into bluey-silver-greyish ghost skeletons. But they stayed in their clothes and wigs and carried on dancing. It think they only appeared at certain times of the night and that it was a wedding party of some sort being re-enacted, but again I'm not sure.

Sci-Fi movie 70's maybe early 80's. Color. Starts with guy who shows up with a zombie like face, torn clothes, after running through the desert with a large lazer gun fuzed to his arm, shoots up a junk-yard or gas station i think. Someone kills him, someone dies, teenager picks up gun, slips his arm into it and can't take it off. The gun somehow posses the user and begins his criminal career shooting up the town and it's people, while turning until a zombie as well and also being hunted down by an unseen force. Of course "ALIENS" are behind the whole thing and the movie comes to an end where people witness "UFO's" landing in the desert having built a futuristic city. But the most wierd part is two alien dinosaurs fighting in the horizon. "UNREAL"

Result: Deadly Spawn (1983) aka The Alien's Deadly Spawn aka Return of the Aliens: The Deadly Spawn Thanx Stareater, RomanyX, Mark.

I have been searching on and off for a couple of years now for a movie I remember watching when I was quite young (around the mid to late 80's - I was born 1976). The movie was on video (in Australia) and in color. I remember the begining of the movie a comet hits earth and in a subsequent scene, two people in a tent out camping are attacked by a creature. I remember seeing the silohuette of the killing on the tent. The creature eventually takes up residence in the basement of a particular house. The creature has little babies that are like slugs. I remember in one scene one of the slugs crawls in amongst some stuff that ends up in a blender and gets made into a milkshake. One of the residents of the house drinks it (not knowing what was in it) and comments on the taste. They then walking into another room and end up getting attached (by a heap of the babies I think). I also seem to remember that the creature is blown up in the end. The creature was like a giant mouth. Thats all it was, a huge set of teeth (there would have been hundreds of teeth). I had it in my mind that the movie was called something like 'Day of the Spawning' but google searches have left me with nothing so I am going to assume I imagined the name.

Result: Dead Of Night (1977) Dan Curtis film segment titled Bobby. He used the story again in Trilogy of Terror 2 Thanx RomanyX, Marphisa.

It was an old horror movie in episodes. I think they where three. One of the episodes was about a little boy who drowns taking a bath in the beach. He lived with his mother in a house beside that beach. As the kid dies, the mother casts a speel to make him come back to life. Later or the next day, the kid is crying on the other side of the door. She makes him go inside, but he was not her son anymore (she didn't know until he shows an evil behaviour). At the end of the movie the kid becomes the devil, moving downstairs and saying something like "Your soon didn't love you so i came in his place..."

My cousin rented this movie back in the mid-early 1990s. It was about this Leprechaun (that lived in a glass globe I think) that granted people wishes and some guy who fought giants/monsters. The guy gets three wishes and uses one each time he gets in trouble. As the Leprechaun grants each wish, he tosses a golden coin up. When the guy makes a 4th wish, the Leprechaun tells him he has no more golden coins left and shows him the bag. This movie was in color.

Possibly from the late eighties early nineties, there was a made for TV movie from Disney (I think) like wonderful world of. The story was very "Can't buy me love" where a "nerdy" brother and sister either switch schools or move to a new school and decide that they are going to be cool, so they pretty much change their wardrobe and learn some new catch phrases and "POOF" coolness. I have not much else to go by on this

Result: Orphans (1987) Starring Albert Finney and Matthew Modine. Thanx RomanyX, Alli, Will.

I saw this movie around 1987. It was a rental from a video store. It was about two teenage boys who had no parents and were hiding the fact that they were orphans. They had a very hard time keeping their secret and a very hard time getting through each day. I believe that one of the actors might have been Matthew Modine and I thought the name of the movie was Orphans but I have struck out with that title and with a listing of Matthew Modine movies.

#941

Result: Against A Crooked Sky Thanx RomanyX.

I saw this movie in the late 70's on TV. It was in color. Set in the western time period(I think) it has a young boy as it's lead actor. For some reason I remember the bible verse 1Cor. 13:11 being used in this film as a focal or turning point. (About "putting away childish things.") It has Indians in it & there is some contest this boy has to complete before this Indian girl is shot & falls over a cliff. I have always wondered if this was just my over active imagination.

Result: There Was A Little Boy (1993) (TV) with Cybil Shepherd, John Heard, and Scott Bairstow(the boyfriend that abused Neve Campbell on Party of Five). Thanx Mini Me, Alli, Marphisa.

I saw this film I think in 1994 or any years later on television. The story is about a baby who is kidnapped whilst his mum is in the bath. many years later she teaches him with out realising it's her son. I think he and his girlfriend terrorise her house a bit. she finds out somehow that he is her son and I think he wore a headband but didn't neccessarily have long hair. I remember his kidnapper who he believes to be his mother is carried into hospital by the boy towards the end of the film. the real mother had blonde hair.

Result: Le Boum (1980) or Le Boum 2 (1982) Thanx RomanyX.

This movie is a French movie of either late 70s or early 80s. I believe the movie was aired on Cinemax. It was about two teens, a girl and a boy, in love of course. I remember the boy drove a motor scooter and I believe he had a white helmet? and he and the girl would go driving around on the motor scooter. I remember that Cinemax would air the movie some nights in French with English subtitles, and then air it sometimes in English voice overs. Anyway, I think I remember the title being "le boom" or something close to that.

Result: Massacre At Central High (1976) starring Derrel Maury & Andrew Stevens. Thanx Stareater, Mark, ALNA70.

This is not really a horror flick, but more of a thriller/drama. This movie was from the early 80's possibly even a made for t.v. flick. It was a story of revenge. A young man started to kill off his enemies one by one, but I am not sure what caused his rage. These individuals may have been ex-friends of his that wronged him somehow which triggered his killing spree. I remember one of the victims that he murdered was a diver/swimmer and he died diving off a diving board into a pool that was drained intentionally. Another victim was killed as he was working on his car. The car must have been parked in neutral because the killer pushed the car down a steep hill and ultimately killed the man.

I would have seen this film at least 20 years ago (i think) A man is asleep in a tent. Another man creeps up to the side of the tent, he has a large furry spider in a small cage. He lifts the bottom of the tent and lets the spider in. The spider is supposed to go for the mans throat (i think). The sleeping man partly wakes up when the spider crawls onto his arm, he looks at it and closes his eyes to go back to sleep. Then suddenly he realises what is happening, jumps out of bed, brushes the spider off, grabs his shotgun and starts shooting at it.

In the mid-1980s a movie appeared on the Disney Channel, but I don't think it was a Disney production. It definitely wasn't one of their majors if it was. It may have been Japanese, but I remember only the faintest bits. It was in color, animated, sci-fi, about a cat who saves a planet (not earth, or maybe earth way in the future) from a creature, maybe a robot, who turned animals into statues or stone. The villain had a horrifying voice, and at the end his floating castle fell apart and you kind of felt sorry for him. I was probably five when it aired, which would have been 1986. There may have been more than one movie about this cat. I'm pretty sure it was a cat.

Result: Tough Guys (1987) Thanx ALNA70.

I only saw part of this one back sometime in the late 1980s to early 1990s. There was this boy (about 10-16 years old) with glasses (that had a rather thick black frame) and wearing I think a grey shirt. He was in this icecream shop. He couldn't make up his mind on what he wanted on his ice cream, as he kept telling the ice cream guy to "put this on, put that on, no wait put that back, and put this on, no wait let's start over again. First put those on (we see a close up of crunchy Oreo cookie bits)" and etc. Finally, the icecream guy gets fed up with this kid and throws the ice cream in his face!!! The boy takes his glasses off and starts wiping his face clean.

Result: The Great Land Of Small (1987) Thanx Apostic.

I saw this movie when i was young, say late 1980's to early 1990's about 2 young children, a boy and a girl who meet a dwarf, (though in the movie he played the part of a magical being from the end of the rainbow) and follow him through a forest till they get to a river. The Dwarf guy HATES water but they get in a little boat and paddle, they must be doing this for quite a while because they fall asleep, and when the wake up they are in the land of 'the end of the rainbow'. The queen and king, you could say, of the land have this tradition thing where they send young people of their land down this big slide thing and into a hole, and they emerge as butterflies, i cant remember of the boys come out as butterflies as well, but the girls do, anyway the queen of the land pushed the little girl into doing it but the girl refuses and the kids end up going back home. Other details, the dwarf had blonde/brown hair and has a small goatie/mosatche, and wears a green outfit, also there is a scene when the dwarf first meets the kids when they are eating and drinking coke? i think n the dwarf loves it and burps alot. the little girl is blonde n the boy is brown hair i think.

Result: City Of The Dead (1960) aka Horror Hotel starring Christopher Lee. Thanx Stareater.

It's a black and white movie I saw on TV around 1973. I remember a young woman who had to stay at I'd say a hotel in a creepy town, not sure if her car broke down or something like that. I remember her going into a hole that was hidden in the floor after hearing chanting and going down into cave like walkways. I think there were dead people in the walkways. I'm sorry I don't remember more but I do remember that it scared me to death when I first saw it.

Result: Sometimes They Come Back (1991) (TV) (again!) by Stephen King with Tim Matheson and Robert Rusler. Thanx Alli, Jeremy, kyacarver.

This film was most likely made in the 80s. It was about a guy in his 40s who can't forget about the death(murder) of his best friend or brother that happened in the 50s or 60s when they were teens. He keeps getting flashbacks and I believe he gets visited by the ghost of his friend numerous times. When he flashes back to the 50s or 60s I remember that there was a group of bullies that drove a really nice convertible black car with flames on the side and coming from the exhaust. Also there was something about sneakers thrown over a telephone wire.

Result: Big Shots (1987) Thanx Marphisa.

im sure its a 80s film in color. they showed it alot on hbo and it was about a white boy looking for his dads watch and bumps into a black boy in the city that helps him find the watch. so during the movie they get into all kinds of adventures in the city from pawn shop to pawn shop looking for for this watch. so toward the end they find the watch at a pawn shop and the white boy returns home to find out that the dad dies from eating some kind of fish. the begginng of the movie kinda starts of the white boy and his father fishing on the boat and the dad shows him the watch and i think gives to him at that point.

Result: Amityville: The Evil Escapes (1989) (TV) starring Patty Duke. Thanx Stareater, Marphisa, Mark.

The setting is an old house, into which a family moves. In the attic of the house there's an old lamp, which is possessed by the devil. The little girl (or was it a boy?) is manipulated by the lamp and soon turns against her mother. I remember one scene, where someone tries to mend some kind of kitchen device (a blender?) which is turned off. Since the lamp has the ability to control all electrical devices in the house, the machine is of course turned on when the guy is standing with his hand in it. Another scene is where the lamp calls up the priest the family's consulting and threatens him and the receiver in the priest's hand turns red-hot. I'd say this film is from the 80's, possibly late 70's.

Result: Clownhouse (1989) Thanx Stareater, Marphisa, Mark.

I think this film was in the 70's or 80's i saw it when i was young. It was a horror film in colour. It involved two maniacs or prisoners escaping, they went to a circus and killed some clowns ans dressed up as them and then they found this house with children in it and they were terrorising them. Shots of children looking out the window seeing a clown standing there gone the next. I think they killed one of the children and hung them from the tree outside the front window.

Result: Gate (1987) starring Stephen Dorff. Thanx Stareater, Marphisa.

I saw a movie in either 1989 or 1990 that was a cheap horror movie about these kids that are left alone in a house and they unleash some kind of demonic spell from some book. I also remember the mother coming home and the kids are relieved but then her head falls off! They finally end the movie with some kind of rocket launch into the portal in the sky.

Result: A Far Off Place (1993) with a young Reese Witherspoon and Ethan Embry. Thanx Alli, Starius, Marphisa, Paul(poster).

I saw this movie im pretty sure it was around 1993-1995. It was about these two kids (boy and girl) who travel with their families to Africa, I'm not sure what part. While they are there their families get murdered by guerrillas i think, but the girl and the boy escape by hiding in a field of some sort. They start to travel across the desert to get away and the meet up with an African tribe boy. The rest of the movie is them trying to make it to some place i forget where, but some things that happen along the way are one of the kids get stung by a scorpion and the girl gets a vest made for out of some animal pelt. When she is trying it on the African boy doesnt want to turn around because she is good looking or something and the other boy makes hoim turn around. I think that part was funny to me when i saw it, but i was like 7 or something. Anyway the end is they travel over these big sand dunes and get to some city.

Color, mid 1990's I saw it on hbo in 1994 or 1995, early morning. About a caucasion guy with a gray afro kidnaps an important speaker or idol woman she is blond. He holds her captive at his house communicates to her on a tv, in one scene he cuts off her water forcing her to drink out of the top of the toilet, he also feeds her through a doggy door that she tries to escape from but gets stuck. In the end she gets out and traps him in the room she was held in and plays one of her speeches over and over.

Result: Dance Of The Dwarves (1983) Starring Peter Fonda. Thanx RomanyX.

I was desperately hoping you could help me track down a horror/scary movie from either the early 80's possibly even the late 70's. I definitely did not see this movie in the theatre and I don't recall renting it, but I did see it on T.V. a couple of times in the early to mid 80's. I have a very vague recollection of the movie because I probably have not seen it in 20 years. I remember either a group of friends or possibly even a research team meeting up together at the outskirts of a forest or heavily wooded area. I can recall someone landing in a helicopter in an open area outside of the forest. I am not sure why they where there or what their mission was. There were some type of creatures/monsters or possibly even dwarves that inhabited the forest and surrounding areas that would ultimately terrorize and kill off some of the characters. There was a scene where a character was alone in the woods and killed by the creature, but I don't think you actually witness the creature's appearance yet. I'm Not sure if the character was male or female but the creature killed the person near a stream. I believe there was a scene where a character was going to enter the forest on horseback, but the horse freaked out and would not enter the wooded area. It was as if the horse sensed the presence of the creatures and it was terrified. There may also have been some locals that were aware of the existence of these creatures? dwarves?

I have been looking for a sci fi movie from the 80's or late 70's that I saw when I was a little kid. It's in color. I saw it when I was 5 or 6 around the time a lot of other sci fi movies were on cable like the Night of the Comet. It takes place in a suburban town, and the aliens invade the peoples' bodies, but you can't really tell b/c they look normal on the outside. The few scenes I remember are: one scene where the townspeople (aliens) are walking towards the mothership and the camera angle only shows their feet as they are walking and then you see their out human skin drop off onto the ground and the alien form in underneath. And other scene is inside the ship where all you can see is the leader on a huge screen talking to the other aliens and first he has his human skin on and then he pulls it off. And another scene is in a bedroom of two kids (I think they're in bunk beds) and this floating light enters their room (maybe that's how the aliens takeover?). It's been driving me crazy, and I've tried every search imaginable, so if you have any ideas I'd appreciate it. (I thought the leader alien was the actor Geoffrey Lewis, but I may be remembering him from Night of the Comets).

Result: The Fear: Resurrection (1999) starring Gordon Currie with Betsy Palmer(aka Mrs. Voorhees from Friday the 13th.) There is a wooden Indian man named Morty in the movie.. Thanx Stareater, Alli.

i saw this film i am looking for in about 2000. I saw it on video and it was in colour. It was about a merderous wooden man. There was a part in the film when the wooden man was sitting at a table with people staying in a house, everyone heard a noise and went to see what it was. One man stayed behind and when everyone came back they found him chopped up in a box. Also, at the end, the wooden man drowned a woman in a toilet and handcuffed another man to a burning car.

Vampire movie that was in the made in the early 1970s was at the movie theater where a younger woman was invited to stay with her relatives in a small sparsely populated American town where all through the movie this woman with short dark hair is eventually chased through the house, maybe and in a field outside. All the people young and old eventually all became vampires and she escapes at the end in a row boat in the middle of a lake. The movie was in color. She either looked like a young Tyne Daly or the woman who did the commercial for Eve apple juice who was very popular along time ago.

Result: Our Mother's House (1967) starring Pamela Franklin and Dirk Bogarde. Thanx Marphisa.

A British film or TV drama from the late 60s early 70s. Set in typical 'kitchen sink' grim location. A family of poor children are left to fend for themselves after their mother dies (not sure what happened to the dad). They keep up the pretence to their neighbours and school that she is still alive, visiting the social security office armed with excuses. They keep this up for an extremely long time, the older kids looking after the smaller ones. Extremely sad as they struggle to do everything that grown ups do whilst hiding their secret. I have a vague recollection that the nasty dad returns only to be killed by the children but I may be wrong. I watched it as a child and found it uncomfortable viewing!

Result: Abducted (1986) starring Roberta Weiss and Dan Haggerty. Thanx Marphisa, Mini Me.

i think this movie is from the early nineties. it was most likely made for tv that aired either on the usa network or lifetime. it was about a woman who gets abducted by a crazy man while she is jogging in what seemed like a forest. the man tries to keep her as his wife and takes her to his cabin. at the end, the crazy man's father is the one that ends up rescuing the woman and i think he ends up killing his son. i think the lasts scenes are shot during the winter and there is a rescue helicopter that was searching for the woman. it was similar to the plot of a cry in the wild: the peggy ann story but it was not this movie.
